This is the cute bungalow we moved from last year (yet remained in the same community), after purchasing our lake house. I still get emotional when I think of almost 18 years worth of memories in that place.
For this layout I used Blue Fern's gorgeous Remnants paper collection, coordinating adhesive shapes, lace, flowers, garden daisies chipboard and tattered walls ephemera. A few little embellishments from my stash to tie everything together.
On the close-up, you can see that I used Blue Fern's lavender seedlings on the garden daisies chipboard. They perfectly matched the purple lilacs in the photo. I still miss all the pretty lilacs we had on that property! Well, as always... thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my project today.

Secret Book Box
Hi and welcome to the Blue Fern Studios blog.
In my previous blog post I shared two cards made with the Remnants collection.
I love this collection so much that I made another project with them.
This time I made a secret book box.
I had never made a secret book box before so I watched a few tutorials and pictures
and made one myself from white chipboard sheets.
The box measures about 4,7 x 6,2 x 1,5 inches (= 12 x 16 x 4 cm).
I colored the entire book box with grey ink.
Then I glued Remnants papers on the in- and outside of the box.
I decorated the box with chipboards. These are brown colored and I also added a touch of
copper wax to give them a nice shine.
Furthermore there are some flowers and Remnants chipboard shapes added.
On the inside I glued a free vintage family photo I found on internet.
This book with the secret compartment is a fun way to give a gift to someone or
to hide your own special bits and pieces in.
Here is a list of the products I used:
Patterned Paper:

Chipboard:

Cards with Remnants Collection
Hello DT Henriette here today and I'm sharing two cards I made using the wonderful
Remnants collection.
I created two cards and both have multiple layers of patterned papers, chipboard,
lace and flowers.
For the "every moments matters card" I added the "Belfast bouquet" chipboard which I painted white and aged with brown ink.
Behind the chipboard is a flower from the Remnants self-adhesive chipboard shaped.
I also aged the Blue Fern Studios flowers with the brown distress ink.
On the other card I added a frame chipboard embossed with
oatmeal embossing powder.

I love this amazing collection especially the colors.

Layered Layout - Places to Go
Hello everyone, it's Aida here from @aidaville and I hope you're having a good start to this month of March !
I'm sharing a layout of my older daughter who faced lots of challenges getting to where is is today. A musician, committed animal activist, a full scholarship Graduate and currently a Teaching Assistant at the University while she completes her Masters in Political Science. The title "I've got places to go and people to see" perfectly sums up the full life she worked hard to carve out.
Patterned Papers :
Heartland - XOXO | Remnants - Westfield | Happy Accidents 2 - Tonic
Lace no. 5
Wanderlust Printed Chipboard
Chipboard - Widgets
Flowers : Happy Blossoms | Garden Blooms
Embossing Powder : Silver Bells
Others : 8 x 10" flat backed canvas.
I love the Wanderlust Printed Chipboard as it has some thickness to it for creating layers and edging the chipboards with contrasting acrylic paint, some Distress inking gives it depth. As you can see the photo was adhered inside the oval frame for prominence and the other chipboard pieces were added around it
Creating is so much easier, and fun when chipboard pieces have sentiments which can be used as titles like this one above !
Here is a closer look at the layers.
Very often lace is soft and may require a thin layer of transparent Gesso, stiffening them to make for easier handling. The Lace no.5 was trimmed into smaller manageable pieces, then inserted in between the flowers and chipboard and glued securely.
Silver Bells Embossing powder gave the chipboard Widgets interesting texture and the pieces were given a light daub of grey acrylic paint on the edges for more dimension.
Floral embellishments really do complete a layout and it looks so pretty ! For a shabby feel, I gently coated the blooms with thinned down white gesso.
I hope this layered layout has given you interesting ideas and shown how to create with Blue Fern Studios. Thank you for coming by, have a happy, create-ful Sunday !

August Inspirations by Jennifer Jacques
Hello fanatics!
It's my turn on the blog today and I have my usual 3 layouts for you!
3 layouts, 3 different collections :)
First of all, I will start with a Remnants layout.
"Vignette" paper is my background on which I applied clear gesso, paste with a stencil and finally added some sprays and splatters. To add more texture, some random stamping with Grungy grid stamp.
The Butterfly grid was covered with black gesso and some wax. In layers, some flairs through my Blue Fern Studios flowers like Spring florals and some Spring peony & berries. I've completed with some other flowers from my stash and small ornements. Also used Devonshire paper to die-cut my leaves ;)
My title came from the chippies set Seasons and was perfect for a lilac picture from my backyard.
Simply embossed it with the magnificent Amethyst embossing powder. As a final touch, some Tickled seedlings :)

With the beautiful In the mood collection :)
You can barely see under that I've placed my focal point on Screen panel piece which is simply covered with white gesso. Some Doodle Flowers chippies are embossed with It's a girl EP, a soft pink glittery embossing powder. This beautiful fuschia flower came from Heartland Blossoms.

With the beautiful In the mood collection :)
The background is Peaceful paper and I've made some tags out of Ecstatic and Pensive papers. You can see them better just below. The title is from Arrow words chippies set and was covered with black gesso and waxes. Below the red tag, you can see that I've used the border of Lace #2 to add dimensions to my layout.
Above, I've placed some die-cut doilies under my clustering and
embossed 2 of them with Pink Dust embossing powder.
Below, I've completed my flower clustering with Natural Sprigs set and choose to embossed them with one of my favorite green color for leaves and that is Forest embossing powder.
Also done some random stamping on my background with my favorite stamp: Tattered Newsprint.

Here, the pink flowers are Remnants blooms and the whites are from 2 different sets:
Christmas blooms and Garden blooms.
The delicate leaves are die-cut pieces from The Garage paper.
The title is from Tattered walls ephemeras. You can also see some other pieces on my picture's right side. In some places, also tucked in some Burgundy Lace 10 flowers.

April inspirations by Jennifer Jacques
Hello all Blue Fern Fans,
It's my turn again here on the blog, with my April inspirations.
I chose to work with three different collections this time.
First of all, a layout with a 2018 collection, Remnants.
Papers: Collection Remnants
It's my turn again here on the blog, with my April inspirations.
I chose to work with three different collections this time.
First of all, a layout with a 2018 collection, Remnants.
Beaumont (b-side) paper was used as my background paper. You can see it on the left. On the right, this is Devonshire that I've used. As I layered that particular part on a scrap of cardstock, I can tuck some Lace 4 pieces under it to add some details between the two papers. You can also see the beautiful Blacksand embossing powder on my fairy chippie.
Finally, look at those beautiful BFS flowers 💕
The two white ones with the pearl inside are from Remnants Florals and
the yellow one, above my picture, is in the Fresh Florals set.
I added some flairs and some diecuts leaves with the flowers and that was it for that layout!

For my second layout, Garden life was the collection that have inspired me.
Sun kissed (b-side) is the paper that I've had a crush on this time. I applied some clear gesso, some texture paste through a stencil and then, some pigment powders to enhance my focal point.

Sun kissed (b-side) is the paper that I've had a crush on this time. I applied some clear gesso, some texture paste through a stencil and then, some pigment powders to enhance my focal point.
After all my mediums was dry, I stamped here and there with Departure Stamp that is perfect for vacation themed layouts.
I layered my two pictures on a tag made with In Bloom paper.
Under that, a piece of Flower bed paper.
I also add in my clustering some flowers made out of vellum paper and embossed with Snow embossing powder. On the right corner, I displayed some cute BFS flowers from Garden blooms and Fresh florals
Beside, the title is a chippie from Arrow words set,
embossed with Ebony powder.
Really love that pinky layout: did you?

Finally, my favorite layout for this month.
With one of my favorite Blue Fern collection of all time: Happy Accident!
The paper named Chance is my background here. I applied some clear gesso, some modeling paste through a stencil and added some watercolor effect with sprays. I made 2 tags with Layerings cards paper to display my picture on.
See that beautiful color on my title?
It's Coral embossing powder and I'm in looooooove with it!
On the next pictures, you will see a lot of Blue Fern Studios flowers.
The peach one is from Chesterville blooms and I admit that I've split it in two parts: on the left higher corner under my picture and a smaller part that I've rolled on itself on the opposite.
Two beautiful Dark tropic blue lilies and a white burlap from Remnants blooms beside the picture. On the right side, another white one (with a flair in her middle) and a pink one from Moody florals.
Here and there. some black stamping with Swiss dots to add details on that background.
As final touches, some fussycut Butterflies, some pearls,
some white gesso splatters and that's all for this Sourire layout.
