Christmas Envelope Wallet

Hello, Henriëtte here. On this day before Christmas I'm sharing a project I've made
with the Christmas Cheer Papers.

I've made a envelope wallet. The idea for this fun project I found here.
You can use it in a junk journal or as snailmail.

I used three large envelopes which I tea dyed.
Before glueing  the panels to the envelopes I stitched around the papers.

The inside has a pocket on the left to put in ephemera pieces and a pocket
on the right with a large tag.

I used an eyelet and red ribbon to close the wallet.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Blue Fern Studios blog.

We wish you all a very
Merry Christmas.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Christmas Cheer Ornaments - by Vicky Alberto

Just over a week until Christmas! Sharing a few fun ornaments created with the new Blue Fern Christmas Cheer paper collection and chipboard today...

On the "Christmas Cuties" chipboard, I painted them off-white and polished with glass beads mixed media gel. I wanted the focus to be the "delighted" paper, surrounded by soft elegance.

I used some pretty Blue Fern "summer blooms" and ribbon that matched perfectly for this project!

Thanks for taking a peek today & happy holidays!

Christmas Morning

Hello and welcome. I have a wintery layout for you today called Christmas Morning using the Christmas Cheer Collection from Blue Fern Studios.
This photo was taken in 1967! And yes that is me on the left in red. This was taken Christmas Morning before Christmas Mass. I remember how proud I was of my red coat that my mother had painstakingly made for me. (She made my sister's as well). For my background I used the Delighted paper.
I did some background work with stencils and glitter paste. (It sparkles so much in person)
I used a variety of chipboard pieces on this layout starting with this tag from the Good Tidings Tags set. I heat embossed it with Ginger embossing powder and added some Flaming Seedlings for contrast.
I used this adorable holly from the Holly Days Flourish set and embossed it with Ginger, Garnet and Sage. I cut the chipboard into two pieces so I could stretch it more.
Some at the top of the page as well.

I used the numbers and tree from the tag as additional embellishments within my flower cluster. I also used some Berry Stems (love these!) and Lush Leaves.
I used a variety of blooms from Prima, Petaloo and 49 & Market. Once the page was done I went over everything with a light dusting of gesso to give it a more snowy look.
I also used some lace from Blue Fern Studios.
Two little Christmas bells were the finishing touch.

I love this time of year. It is for sure the most hectic for me as I do a ton of baking for my family and some elderly people in my community. Plus the shopping, decorating and general having fun! It is also when I celebrate my Birthday. My mother was born Christmas Eve, I was born on the 18th.
I wish you all the very best this holiday season and may you have a very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Tags

Hello, Henriëtte here sharing two Christmas tags I've made for the Blue Fern Studios and
Tres Jolie Kit Club You Tube hop, which you can still enter.

I used the Christmas Cheer collection to decorate two large chipboard tags.

I embossed the chipboard pieces with sparkly embossing powder and glitters.

More info about the You Tube hop:

My video can be found here:

For the YouTube hop, make sure you watch each video, thumbs it up, and comment for a chance to win a prize from Tres Jolie Kit Club and Blue Fern Studios. You have until December 20th to complete the hop.

Have fun hopping!

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Let It Snow

Hello my friends, today I am sharing a giant tag I made using "Christmas Cheer".

My background is a cardboard tag covered with a sheet called Joyful.

I embellished the Let It Snow tag with white glitter and a snowflake border. I cut some Christmas flowers from Lace # 4.

I then cut some fussy cut branches, bells, and the Christmas Tide diamond.

I cut Lace #17 into some snowflakes and used it whole at the bottom of the tag. After adding some stars from my stash, I hung my tag inside a branch frame and topped it with a bow!

I hope it inspires you!
Warmest wishes,
Bonnie

 Christmas Cheer Ephemera Folio

I've created a Stuffed Ephemera Folio using the new
Christmas Cheer collection

The cover features chipboard along with Blue Fern Blooms in red, blue and yellow highlighting a beautiful image from the paper design

Every pocket, tuck, nook and cranny are filled with ephemera pieces created from the papers and ephemera packs.

Sandwiched in between the pockets and ephemera is a little fourteen page journal to record all your Christmas memories.

Check out my Blue Fern Designs playlist on YouTube (Gayle Agostinelli) to see how I created this folio along with a full flip through here:

Wishing you a holiday packed with Christmas Cheer!

A Cup of Christmas Cheer

Christmas Greetings!

To start this sweet project I chose the candy cane striped paper called "Cheerful" then layered an adorable piece of the newsprint paper called "Sparling", both from the new Christmas Collection!

I tucked the tiny emphera calling card into a cup of cocoa after inking it red and edging it in copper glitter. I added a fussy cut candy cane for flavor!

I used a star shaped emphera with some fussy cut birds.

I think the wooden tag, joy, turned out so cute with a little brown paint. My gingerbread girl is sporting some Blue Fern embossing powder in gold and piece of lace, #7a. I further decorated a tiny tree, gingerbread buttons and a holly sprig with some burlap ribbon, all from my stash.

Thank you for looking and I wish you a cup full of Christmas blessings!
