Hey crafty friends, Einat Kessler here with two new layouts.
Recipe for Love
Sometimes you have a paper you really like and a photo you want to use with it but they don't always match in color. The way to resolve this is to add some color to your paper with acrylic paints or ink sprays. This is what I've done here.
Check out the video tutorial to see how I created this page.

The second layout has some handmade embellishments I created from paper and two patterns of stencils. Stencils are a great way to add patterns, texture and images to the layout. I also used gesso on this layout to create the images and give accents to the embellishments, paper and title.
Hey crafty friends Einat Kessler here with some inspiration projects with the new Deja Vu collection.
I have to say this is my favorite collection (so far) I just love the purples and yellows and how they go together so well. They are very versatile and can be used for feminine flowery projects as well as masculine projects.
"The Story Noted"
My first project is an interactive layout. I've used the new Valerie's Windows to create an openable window on my page. Under the window I added a photo of me.
I created the entire layout around the window adding a brick wall and flowers. It all tied in really well with the street light on the side of the paper.
Check out the video to see how I created the window and the layout.
Mini Brag Book
My second project is a mini brag book. When I saw the Petites Carted paper I couldn't resist it. It just screamed brag book to me. I used a really easy technique to create the book by simply folding the squares in a accordion shape. Then I inserted a ribbon to tie the book. I cut a few flowers from the La Plume paper and added on the little cover.

I really love BFS products so I keep every little scrap that I have. I don't throw away any of my paper pieces or chipboard leftovers. Today i want to show you that you can create an amazing layout using those scraps!
I started with a 12x12 paper for my background. This is the only full size piece of paper in this layout. Then I started adding scraps of papers I cut from other BFS papers I had as well as adding a piece of chipboard i used on my last layout. I also added some other embellishments and the title.
For my second project I made a card using some more scraps of paper and chipboard. I created a layered collage from pieces of paper and chipboard and embellished it with some flowers and ribbon. The great things about BFS papers is that they're double sided so there are twice as many color and pattern to use in whatever project you're creating!

Papers: Sanctuary - Calling Cards
Chipboard: Marrakesh Panel
I hope I've inspired you to use your BFS supplies and scraps!
Hey crafty friends! I'm so excited to share with you the layouts I created with the Love Story collection. For my first layout I decided to use the Marrakesh panel chipboard and create a collage of photos.
It is so striking the page hardly needs anymore embellishments. But I couldn't help myself and just had to ass a few more pieces cut from another beautiful Love Story paper.
Check out the step by step video tutorial to see the entire process and create it for your own photos!
BFS supplies used:
Papers: Love Story collection: Twenty One, True harmony
Chipboard: Marrakesh Panel, This Moment title
My second layout has a story behind it. at first glance it's a beautiful scene with flowers in a garden and a teenager boy sits among them. however when you look closely you see he's kind of mad and the title explains why...
I colored all the chipboard flowers with aquarelle pencils and a water brush. Then I sprayed a cheese cloth and used it to create the grass. I added all the flowers and the photo of my son. The title was sprayed with the sprays inks as well.

Papers: Love Story collection: The Grand Ball
Chipboard: Garden Daisies, Pretty Weeds, Layering Stems
Hey crafty friends Einat Kessler here with some masculine layouts for your inspiration!
My first layout lets the chipboard speak out loud. The layout is all about a day in the science museum with my two boys.
Creating a masculine layout can sometimes be challenging, but I look at it like any other layout. I try to use more masculine colors and chipboards and not make its look too feminine with flowers or cutesy embellishments.
Having said that...my other layout has plenty of flowers on it. Who says you can't add flowers to a boys' layout? You can! I just try to keep them in the more masculine color scheme and avoid pink :)
Hey crafty friends! Einat Kessler here with my first video tutorial as BFS video educator. I'm so happy and honored to be joining this talented team!
I'm a mother of two teenage boys and married to a supportive loving husband. We live in Israel close to Tel Aviv. I started scrapbooking when my son was born and have been doing it ever since. As time went by it turned from a hobby to a business and today it's my full time job. Today I also create a lot of mixed media, art journaling, altered projects and interactive designs. I love experimenting and trying new things so my art is evolving all the time.
I'm happy to share with you my first video tutorial: One of a Kind mixed media layout.
BFS products used:
Papers: Sanctuary - Meadows of Time
Papers: Sanctuary - Bountiful
Chipboard: One of a Kind
Chipboard: Printer's bits
My other project is an inspirational canvas. It's a 4X4 canvas that has a statement on it. I'm planning to have one of my studio walls filled with these...
I used the chipboards to create a textured background by covering them with gesso and spraying. Then I used a pen nib with black ink to write on the canvas and chipboard as if they were one.
