September Inspiration by Babi

Hi Everyone,

Today it's my turn to share with you my new projects using the Amber & Apricot, Wanderlust  and Courtship Lane collections.

I made my first layout using Yesteryear (Amber & Apricot) and Calling Cards (Wanderlust).

Using stencil and Light Paste I added more texture to the papers.

The Happy Accident Frame chipboard was covered with  Oatmeal Embossing Powder.

I also covered the Animals Forest chipboards with Snow Embossing.

And finished the layout with lace, flowers, and other embellishments.

My second layout is called Honey which also incorporates papers from Amber & Apricot collection.

I created the layers by adding Bits of Honey chipboard covered by Antique Gold Embossing Powder.

And finished the layout by adding flowers, branches, gesso and Printed Chipboard - Amber & Apricot.

My last project is a mini album that I made with Courtship Lane collection.

This is one of my favorite collections and I am also using it to create a special project for my Brazilian students.

I did a lot of "fussy cut" with the papers from this collection to decorate the pages. It's a very pretty and affordable way to embellish your projects.

Even though it's not visible from the photo I created pages with lot of secret pockets and tabs.

and more pages...

Hello Crafty Friends,  my name is Phyllis Fernandez and I'm so honored to be Blue Fern Studios Fan of the month for September.  I love Blue Fern Studios paper and chipboard,  they're so Gorgeous and so fun to create with.  I won't lie......sometimes I don't even want to cut into the paper collections because they're soooo Gorgeous!  I finally had a chance to play with some of Blue Fern Studios Embossing Powders,  WOW I had no idea how awesome they are to create with!

- September Inspiration - 4 layouts - Amber & Apricot / Wanderlust, by Tartine Peluche.

Hello girls! I'm back to share my september layouts created with Blue Fern Studios products. This month I've used the new collection Amber and Apricot for three layouts and one with Wanderlust paper collection..

-SUNSHINE IS MY FAVORITE ACCESSORY-

My first one is created with FLORA and SUNNY DISPOSITION papers.
I cut the flowers on the FLORA paper and with the chipboard BLOOMING FOLIAGE I created different layer to insert the beautiful flowers of the APRICOT BLOOMS collection.

I embossed my chipboards with BLOOD ORANGE embossing powder. It is a red-orange color, mixed with white and pink glitter, sooo beautifully matching with color combinaison of paper collection.

I used LACE 6, in which I cutted only the small flowers of the bottom. They are used well with the small flowers of the APRICOT BLOOMS kit.

In the right corner at the top of my photo we find part of LACE 4, it is the foliage of the lace.

To add some finishing details I used the GREEN LEAF and  MUSTARD seedlings.

As the bottom of the paper was already decorated, I only add a small white paper frame and some pretty APRICOT BLOOMS flowers.

Then I completed my layout with my favorite embellishment, sequins and half pearls.

For my second layout,  I used TWEET MELODY ( B-side ) and I still used the flowers of FLORA paper but, this time with the FADING BLOOMS chipboard, that I simply embossed in white. I used a piece of BIRDSONG paper and also a piece of  FLORA paper ( B-side ) for create some layers on background. I added flowers and some pieces of AMBER&APRICOT PRINTED CHIPBOARD.

I used only the peach flowers of Apricot Blooms kit and
the leaves come from WANDERLUST VINE.

I used  MUSTARD seedlings and some half beads for details.

The little bird was cut in the paper TWEET MELODY.

I finish by adding a gold wire, wound in a loop.
I think it adds a little something...

Here is another page with a selfie.

I chose to use the KRYSTAL'S FRAME -SMALL chipboard for this layout. I embossed it with BLOOD ORANGE embossing powder. The rectangle frame are the negative of pictures on the APRICOT-PRINTED CHIPBOARD. The cut flowers come from TWEET MELODY paper and I worked with APRICOT BLOOMS again ...
I told you I loved these flowers? I think these are also my favorites.

On my background you can see that I used GARDEN FROLIC stamp and the wonderful butterfly of  SPRING ACCENTS

I live in the mountain ...

I used PACIFIC COAST paper (B-side)
I did only a few brush stroke of white gesso on my background.
Under my photo I used CURLING CORNER chipboard. I have embossed it with HOT COCOA embossig powder.

Under the chipboard I have used LACE 1.

Two beautiful lilies flower from WANDERLUST LILIES kit are placed below the word EXPLORE from the kit WANDERLUST WORDS. I have paint this word with metallic blue paint...

I painted my chipboard MOUNTAIN VIEW with white gesso using a sponge to create a sandy texture. Then I put glue on half of the chipboard and I added MELTED BUTTER glitter on.

August inspiration by Pascale B.

Hello Sweeties

Today I'm back on Blue Fern Studios blog.

The first layout I have to share with you a layout feature a photo montage I've created.I used the new collection Amber and Apricot.

First, I primed the background with clear gesso. Then I mixed some Autumn glitter with a 3D gloss gel to add a design with a stencil to the background. I want the design to be discreet.

I covered the Corner Flourish with a copper crackle paste. I primed the Fern leaves with gesso, then I painted them with different watercolors. While the watercolors were still wet I sprinkled them with several embossing powders: Lime, Avocado, Chili Powder and Hot Cocoa and I heat embossed them.

When the background was dried, I used the Honey Bits and the Departure stamps to add more texture with different Archival inks.

I cut a few papers to add under the photo. Then I glued all the embellishments: some Apricot and Chesterville Blooms, the Fern Leaves and the Corner Flourish. I added some color to the background.

To finish the layout I added some Twig and Paprika seedlings.

Here is my second project. I used again the Amber & Apricot collection to lay out this photo of a sculpture from Edith Guillaume.

I primed the background with clear gesso. Then I added a design with a stencil and clear crackle paste. I let dry naturally.

I primed Krystal's border with white gesso. Then I embossed it with different embossing powders to match the color of the statue.

When the background was dry, I added another design with the Departure stamp and the Pear embossing powder. Then I added some color with different watercolors.

I primed the Rose leaves with white gesso before painting them with different shades of green and brown watercolors.

I cut a few papers from the Amber & Apricot collection to add under the photo and I glued all the embellishments with a 3D gel.

To finished the layout I added some seedlings and glitter.

Here is my third project. I work with the Happy Accident collection to showcase a photo I've taken of the castle of L'Islette where the tempestuous love affair between the two sculptors Camille Claudel and Auguste Rodin was sheltered.

As usual, I primed the background with clear gesso. Then I added a design with a stencil and Graphite paste. When dry I toned down the design with white gesso.

While the background was drying, I primed the Leafy Twigs with white gesso and the Manchester Frame with black gesso. I used some waxes to alter the frame.

I colored the leaves with different shades of green watercolor and sprinkled them with the Avocado embossing powder while they were still wet. After having embossed them, I added some green wax.

I cut some papers to add under the photo in the Layering Cards sheet and I glued all the embellishments with a 3D gel.

To finish the layout I added some seedlings and glitter.
