Living a Romantic Life Scrapbook Layout

Hello Blue Fern Crafty Friends!  Can you believe it's almost the end of May,  where has the time gone???  I was really hoping to get more crafting time in!  I dug into my stash and grabbed Blue Fern Studios beautiful collection A Romantic Life and created a layout.

I started with craft cardstock for sturdyness,  added white cardstock that I distressed with scissors and also used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink.  Then I distressed Blue Fern Studios Intrigue sheet distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distressing tool.  I cutout from Infatuation and Captivating distressed the edges then backed it with recycled boxes I cut up to add dimension.  

I added Blue Fern Studios Lace 51 & 55,  these 2 are  my favorites!  I also added Blue Fern Studios Chipboard Frame Work and colored it with distress oxide ink and then Finnabair's Wax.

Creating my design I used Blue Fern Studios Ephemera pack,  the Umbrella and Fan are so beautiful and perfect touch for the layout.

I added flowers,  glitter,  Reneabouquets Butterflies,  seedbeads and seedlings.

This collection really is A Romantic Life,  it is so beautiful and easy to create with!

Simple Scrapbook layout with Life's Vignettes

Hello!  Happy Friday Blue Fern Fans!  I have a simple layout to share using Life's Vignettes,  this collection is so gorgeous it really is hard to decide which papers to use and more challenging how not to cut through the beautiful designs!  I did struggle with choosing the first paper and the papers I would cut through so I decided to try to keep this layout very simple.

I started with tearing the bottom right corner and top left corner using pink cardstock behind where I tore the paper.  Then I distressed the edges of the papers.

I grabbed Blue Fern Studios Lace and layered it to start my design.  I did some fussing cutting and diecutting to create layers.  

For the matting I added pieces from the ephemera pack and also added crocheted doilies from my stash,  I think this must be the first layout I've created without any dimensional flowers at least it's been awhile.

For a little pop of color I added seed beads and seedlings with glitter.

Sometimes your projects don't have to crazy amounts of embellishments and it will be the perfect amount of layers and embellishments so the collection shines through.

Life's Vignettes Scrapbook Layout

 Hello Blue Fern Fans,  how's everyone doing?  We have another beautiful collection created by the amazing and talented Jen Bishop,  Life's Vignettes!  The designs and colors are so gorgeous,  I couldn't wait to create with this collection!  

I created a set of layouts,  the first one is my favorite of the two.  The second one I recorded a step by step tutorial with similar details. 

I did alot of fussy cutting and ink distressing on the layout.  I also made some vellum flowers and did a few doily diecuts.  Although this layout looks simple,  it took me hours to create and I love how it turned out!

I used some crocheted doilies and cheesecloth from my stash that helped create my textured background.

I added Lace number 81 on the top and bottom with paper punched black cardstock peaking through.

The butterfly is fussy cut from the collection,  that's one of my favorites!  

I added beads,  Blue Fern Studios Magenta embossing powder (which I thought was just regular glitter) but it was perfect for adding sparkle!  For the final touch I added Blue Fern Studios Gold Nugget seedlings,  love me some microbeads!

For the vellum flowers I added Finnabair waxes in 3 different shades hoping it would match the colors in this collection.

Well after creating the set of layouts I'm ready to get out this collection and create another project! Be sure to stay tuned for another project soon!

Through the Garden Gate

 Hello Blue Fern Fans!  Who has the Gorgeous The Glory of the Garden in their stash???  I was going through my stash and came upon the collection,  it is Soooo Gorgeous!

I decided to create a small and quick memory/journal album.  Blue Fern Studios has so many lace trim pieces that are perfect with this collection!
