Life's Vignettes Scrapbook Layout

Hello Blue Fern Fans,  how's everyone doing?  We have another beautiful collection created by the amazing and talented Jen Bishop,  Life's Vignettes!  The designs and colors are so gorgeous,  I couldn't wait to create with this collection!

I created a set of layouts,  the first one is my favorite of the two.  The second one I recorded a step by step tutorial with similar details.

I did alot of fussy cutting and ink distressing on the layout.  I also made some vellum flowers and did a few doily diecuts.  Although this layout looks simple,  it took me hours to create and I love how it turned out!

I used some crocheted doilies and cheesecloth from my stash that helped create my textured background.

I added Lace number 81 on the top and bottom with paper punched black cardstock peaking through.

The butterfly is fussy cut from the collection,  that's one of my favorites!

I added beads,  Blue Fern Studios Magenta embossing powder (which I thought was just regular glitter) but it was perfect for adding sparkle!  For the final touch I added Blue Fern Studios Gold Nugget seedlings,  love me some microbeads!

For the vellum flowers I added Finnabair waxes in 3 different shades hoping it would match the colors in this collection.

Here is the second layout with a step by step tutorial!
I basically created the layout using the same details just a different design.  You can view my step by step tutorial at the end of this post if you'd like to follow along!

Well after creating the set of layouts I'm ready to get out this collection and create another project! Be sure to stay tuned for another project soon!

We love to hear your thoughts on this collecion and want to see your beautiful projects
so be sure to share them with us on Facebook at Blue Fern Fanatics on Facebook!

Here is the step by step tutorial on youtube!

Happy Creating and have an amazing crafty day!

Exploding box with the Radiance collection

Hi, Henriëtte here today sharing my first project with the new "Radiance" collection.
I love this collection, it's so cheerful with beautiful summer colors.
The matching flowers and chipboards are perfect for my project: an exploding box.

The box is made from white cardstock.
I covered all the sides with the Radiance patterned papers.

On the lid I also glued a paper doily, 3 flowers, a ephemera piece and
2 chipboard butterflies.
I heat embossed the chipboard butterflies with starry night blue embossing powder.
I thought they were a bit to blue so I added another layer of white embossing powder.
After doing that they were soft blue and matching the papers very well.

I decorated the inside with more ephemera and "blushing blooms" chipboards.

I made the centerpiece by cutting a styrofoam ball in half and glueing white lace around the base.
I added lots of pink and white flowers and two heat embossed butterflies.
It looks like they are flying.
I took a small strip of acetate and bent the top and bottom so I could
glue it on the butterfly and on the styrofoam ball between the flowers.
From a distance you cannot see the acetate strips.

It's a very bright and sunny exploding box.
I hope you like it also.

Layouts by Tartine Peluche that will make you feel in the spring!

Hello my sweet friends!
Today is very sad for me, this is my last day as a designer for Blue Fern Studios.
My life turns to change and priorities too. Don't worries, I feel good, but I have to take care of myself and all my family ... It's just a goodbye, I'll be back ...
So let me share with you my last inspirations.

====================================
My first one is:

*Perfect*
( Ombré Dreams, Leslie's dream )

I used Sunlight Rose to emboss the foliage chipboard under my photo.

I made this coral flowers by hand, from *Chesterville Floral*, one as simply heated with heat gun and the others are one layer of petal folded on itself.

Morning Sun make a part of my favorite colors of embossing powder.

My next one is:

* Do Something Good Today *
( In The Mood, Flirty )

I embossed all my chipboards with Ivory embossing powder.

These wonderful little white flowers are discontinued,
they were from the Vintage Christmas Collection.

*Life*
( Wanderlust, Road Trip )

m

This layout is the result of a big ink blunder on the first background. In seeking how to recover page, I had the idea of using the small format of the same paper as the background.
Here is the result or my error LOL

These days I have a great need for bright colors.
The blue flowers from Spring Lilies collection are so much PERFECT,
and combined with Summer Breeze embossing powder it's just WOW as effect.

I used Lace 3B to add some black under my first layer.

Butterfly is embossed with Summer Breeze.
