Sentimental Tag Album using Life's Vignettes

Hello Blue Fern Fans!  Today I have a quick Tag album to share using Life's Vignettes.  I gathered some packaging pieces from flowers and decided to finally put these to good use to repurpose/recycle them.

I used 3 different sizes of packaging to create this tag album.  I started distressing cardstock and paper from Life's Vignettes pieced them together and added chipboard,  lace,  metal embellishments,  flowers and twine.  I cut white cardstock to size and then used Blue Fern stamps to create background details,  I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks and Ranger Ink,  you will be able to see more detail below where I stamped on the back of the tag for interest.

I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink to color the chipboard and them cut it up so I could use it on the next tag page.

I also used the Ephemera pack and distressed the edges.

I really love how the stamping turned out,  this would be great using embossing powder as well.

This project was fun to create and I was able to use some of my stash of packaging waiting to repurpose/recycle.  I hope I've inspired you to go out of your box and recycle something in your craft room!

Happy Crafting!

Life's Vignettes Scrapbook Layout

Hello Blue Fern Fans,  how's everyone doing?  We have another beautiful collection created by the amazing and talented Jen Bishop,  Life's Vignettes!  The designs and colors are so gorgeous,  I couldn't wait to create with this collection!

I created a set of layouts,  the first one is my favorite of the two.  The second one I recorded a step by step tutorial with similar details.

I did alot of fussy cutting and ink distressing on the layout.  I also made some vellum flowers and did a few doily diecuts.  Although this layout looks simple,  it took me hours to create and I love how it turned out!

I used some crocheted doilies and cheesecloth from my stash that helped create my textured background.

I added Lace number 81 on the top and bottom with paper punched black cardstock peaking through.

The butterfly is fussy cut from the collection,  that's one of my favorites!

I added beads,  Blue Fern Studios Magenta embossing powder (which I thought was just regular glitter) but it was perfect for adding sparkle!  For the final touch I added Blue Fern Studios Gold Nugget seedlings,  love me some microbeads!

For the vellum flowers I added Finnabair waxes in 3 different shades hoping it would match the colors in this collection.

Here is the second layout with a step by step tutorial!
I basically created the layout using the same details just a different design.  You can view my step by step tutorial at the end of this post if you'd like to follow along!

Well after creating the set of layouts I'm ready to get out this collection and create another project! Be sure to stay tuned for another project soon!

I created some background texture using Blue Fern Studios Knotted Stamp and the Netting stencil.

I used some of my leftover diecuts from a previous layout to create my layers.  I also cut out banner pieces and tags to create my design.

I used paper doilies,  crocheted doilies  cheesecloth,  flowers,  and lace for this layout.

Sail Away With Me Layout Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage collection

Hey Blue Fern Studios Friends I am sharing my latest layout using Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage collection,  isn't it Gorgeous?

I started with Glory double sided paper from Seaside Cottage collection,  distressed the edges with Tim Holtz paper distresser and a paper punch.  Then I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Speckled Egg Distress Dioxide,  love that color!

I created background texture using Bring your own sunshine stamp set and the new Netting stencil using texture paste,  embossing powder and glitter.
I also did diecutting and tearing with paper from Seaside Cottage papers.

For the chipboard piece I added acrylic paint in mint then added white embossing powder.
I also added lace from the Seaside Cottage collection and then started creating my design with layers of diecuts,  the chipboard,  flowers,  crocheted doilies and cheesecloth.

I also used diecuts from the Ephemera pack.

I can't wait to create more with this collection,  I love anything beachy themed and these colors are some of my favorites!
I hope I've inspired you to create something beautiful with this collection!
