'Memories' by Lisa Griffith

Hello Blue Fern Studios fans!

I hope this post finds you all well....
I had so much fun creating this layout using some beautiful fall colors and
pretty Blue Fern Studios chipboards and papers.

'Memories'

I started with the paper 'Timeless' from the Blue Fern Garden collection. I created the background by  masking with texture paste and then used watercolors to paint some browns, oranges and golds.

I used the title chipboard called 'Memories' and also added pieces of the 'Wild Flourish Bundle'.

My second project is a card I made for a friend.

Here I started with the paper 'Leslie's Dream' from the 'Ombre Dreams' collection as my base and glued some pieces of the chipboard 'Turkish Panel'. Then I added my flowers and did some painting on the background with yellow and pink watercolors.

My third project for this month was a layout using the October sketch
designed by Michele Singh for the Blue Fern Studios October sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch for October...you still have time to enter! There is a wonderful prize pack
of new chipboard to be won!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects this month....
Until next time...

August projects from Leila

Hello everybody

Leila's here again to show my projects for this month...

My layouts today are about my daughter, in the first one she had 1 year old and in the second, she had a 13! She is my sunshine!

"You shine!"

I used gesso and gelatos in this chipboard and put some strass in the frame!

Here I painted the chippie with black pen and then put some colorless relief.

BFS supplies:
- Leslie's dream paper
- Brick rings
- The optmist word set

"Pretty as a picture"

Here I used a lot of chipboards and diferent supplies to customize them...

In the title and checker bits I used liquid pearl, in the big clock, acrilic paint and distress ink!

This wonderful chippie I used acrilic paint and spray ink (applied with brush)

BFS supplies:
- Julianna's dream paper by Ombré Collection
- Checker bits
- Roman clock set - large
- Spring branch
- Pretty as a picture

So, this it's! I hope you like it! See you next month...

Tks for stopping by.

Two Paper Collections, Two Layouts

Hi everyone!  It's Valerie Serfozo today to share a couple of layouts with you.  Blue Fern Studios has two beautiful paper collections, and I have selected paper from each line.  For the first layout I have used the Boudoir paper from the Blue Fern Garden Collection.  I then selected the Roman Clock Small Set and Organic Vine chipboard pieces.  When I use multiple chipboard pieces, I generally like to alter them differently.  But in this case, I chose to make them all the same color,

I gave them all a coat of gesso, then used ink to color them.  As you can see below, I like the coverage to be a little less than perfect.  It adds a little character.  I cut the Organic Vine in half and used it in two places on my layout.

The largest piece from the Roman Clock and the other half of the Organic Vine

The smallest piece from the Roman Clock Set

For my second layout, I selected Leslie's Dream from the Ombré Dreams Collection.  It is one of my favorites with a combination of orange and yellow in the background.  This time, I treated each piece of chipboard a little differently.

Here I used one of the Techno Rings as a small accent.  I coated it with gesso, and used Distress Stain to color it.

Staying with the circle theme, I added a piece from the Circle Groups.  This time I painted it with Distress Paint, then added some Inka Gold on top of that.  The paint is barely visible, but it does peak out a little bit here and there.  I also chose to fill in the circles with some embellishments.

And here is the beautiful Dream Big word title chipboard piece.  Ink was applied to achieve the color I wanted.

The choice is totally up to you when you create your project with chipboard pieces, because you are the one deciding which colors to use, whether it be several different colors, or all the same.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Enjoy your weekend.
