We would like to thank the talented Bev Code for joining us during June as our Blue Fern Fan of the Month, and sharing her beautiful layouts.  It's always humbling for us to see you take our products and put them to use preserving your family memories, and Bev does just that so well.  So now, we will turn it over to Bev for her last post of the month.

Hi Blue Fern Studios fans. I am using the amazing SPRING PARADE Collection on these pages.

"Love This"

Hi... Bev here today. As Fan of the Month at Blue Fern Studios I am thrilled to be able to create using layers of paper from the SPRING PARADE collection. I used many CHIPBOARDS that I copic coloured. I finished it off adding a 3D FLOWER in the print cluster of flowers and some bead accents.

This  project shares a photo of all four of my Grand Kids when we were together celebrating. My favourite times are when family spends time together and they actually let me take some family and group photos.

I slit and fussy cut around the blooms images in paper to insert the layers that base the photo.

Here is the finished photo detailing the inserted layers with added accents.

Close up shots of copic coloured chipboards.

"The Story"

Up next is another page using layers again as the base from the SPRING PARADE collection. I used many CHIPBOARDS that I copic coloured and one piece I added special effects I'll be sharing with you. I finished it off adding a beautiful FLOWER/accent and some bead accents.

This project shares a family photo from our group gathering .... they graciously sit while I get some photos to save our memories.

For this chipboard piece I'd like to share my steps to finishing it. I copic coloured the base with green and brown copics. I then used a signo white gel pen to doodle the lines in the leaves.

This close up gives a great view of the treated chipboards and the amazing flower with berries.

Three layouts by Marie-Josee

Hello, Blue Fern Studios fans!

I am really happy to be back on the Blue Fern Studios for the third year. It will be very exciting with all the new products and paper collections!

My name is Marie-Josee, I am 40 years old and I live in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, with my husband and my daughter. I have been scrapbooking since 2006. I love to create layouts, but I also create cards, mixed media projects and altered art.

You can see my work on my blog, Les créations de mariemily, or on my Facebook page, also called Les créations de mariemily.

I will now show you the three projects I created with three differents paper collections.

"Everyday Moments" layout

For this layout, I used the Déjà Vu paper collection.

I also used a piece of the Turkish Panel chipboard.

I altered it with Blue Fern Studios embossing powder (color Petal). I applied the embossing ink directly on the chipboard, and I sprinkled the powder here and there without covering the chipboard completely.

I did not alter the Everyday Moments chipboard because the color fitted with the rest of the layout.

"Always Remember" layout

For this layout, I used the Sanctuary paper collection.

I also used a piece of the Roman Clock Set - Large, the biggest one, as the focal point of my layout.

Here's how I altered it.

First, I added brown ink to the chipboard with the pad, leaving some bare spots here and there. Then, I added embossing ink randomly, only in some spots, and I used Blue Fern embossing powder (color Fern) to add touches of color here and there on the chipboard.

Then, I added gesso here and there with a dry brush.

I altered the title with a black ink pad, also leaving some bare spots. Then, using teal spray ink, I added more color to the chipboard.

Circles layout

For this layout, I used a paper from the Ombré Dreams collection and the Jumbo Rings panel. I put the panel on my paper and used a pencil to draw the inside of the circles. Then, I set aside the paper.

I primed the chipboard with gesso, and while it was still wet, I sprayed green ink on it.

While it was drying, I stamped the inside of the circles with the Blue Fern Studios round stamps. Then, I glued my chipboard to the paper and added more spray ink.

Here are some details!

Thanks for looking, and have a great week!

June layouts by Marie-Josée

Hello all! I hope you are doing great. Today, I have two new projects to show you. Both were created with the new Ombre Dreams collection ans various chipboards.

"Precious Memories" layout

For this layout, I used the Ginger's Dream paper as my background.

Then, I primed my Jumbo Rings panel with gesso and added color with watercolor pencils. As you can see, I tried to use the same colors as the background paper on my circles. I also cut circles out of the Susan's Dream paper and added them to my layout.

Finally, I altered my Precious Memories chipboard with black chalk ink, leaving bare spots here and there.

"Perky" layout

For this layout, I used bright colors with the Ombre Dreams paper.

I cut strips from the Joyce's Dream and Leslie's Dream papers and altered them with bright mists (purple and orange).

I used the Small Number Grid panel on top and the word "Perky" from The Optimist Word Set for my title.
