Stop and Smell the Roses Mixed Media Canvas

 Hey Blue Fern Fans I have a fun Mixed Media Canvas I created using the Gorgeous Fairy Whispers collection!  This collection has so many beautiful designs and colors,  I decided to showcase the colors using paints and also creating texture to enhance the Gorgeous papers.

I started with White Crackle texture paste through a stencil,  then used another stencil using a brick pattern to create texture using White Sand texture paste,   acrylic paint,  Blue Fern Studios embossing powder.  Then I did some ink stamping and heat embossing to add abit more interest to the background.  I used 13 Arts Watercolor powder,  Color Glow and Mist the add color to the background.  

I shifted through my Fairy Whispers papers and started designing my layout.  I did some paper distressing,  did some diecutting and added Blue Fern Studios Lace,  Blue Fern Studios Ephemera pack,  Flowers,  Crocheted Doilies,  Resin Frame and metal trinket.  I also added Reneabouquets Gorgeous handcrafted Butterflies and yellow mulberry flowers.

Stacked Envelope and Oversized Tag using Yuletide

 Hello Blue Fern Fans!  I have a couple small projects to share using Blue Fern Studios Yuletide collection.  I created my first project stacking envelopes I made using my Martha Stewart scoreboard.  I also created an oversized tag that can be used as a gift or a decoration.

I used lace and sheer trim from Blue Fern Studios.  Flowers,  twine,  tulle trim,  sequins,  applique fabric flowers,  say it with crystals and Blue Fern Studios Yuletide papers.

I also cut out some photo matting for each envelope,  they can be use for journaling or placing your photos on for a keepsake.

These projects would be a perfect gift for any occasion or keep them for yourself!

*The Beach is my Happy Place* Altered Hoop

 Hey Friends!  Who is ready for Vitamin Sea???  We all love the beach right?  I'm past due for a little Vitamin Sea so I can beachcomb for some beautiful seashells!

I used Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage collection for this project!  I could create all day long with this collection,  it's so Gorgeous!  

I used a 12" hoop to create a wall decor piece.  I've had this idea in my head for a long time and finally got to piece all the layers in just the right places!

As always I love do cut out some diecuts from the collections I'm creating with.  I used crocheted doilies,  3D diecut cardstock ephemera pieces,  Ships Ahoy charm anchor,  flowers,  cheesecloth,  art stones, lace and seedlings.  I also heat embossed on Blue Fern Studios chipboard and added twine to create more texture and interest.

Fun in the Sun Scrapbook Layout

Happy hump day Blue Fern Fans!  Today I have a layout using the Gorgeous Seaside Cottage collection!  I'm in love with this collection,  the designs and colors are so amazing and fun to create with!

I created some background texture using Blue Fern Studios Knotted Stamp and the Netting stencil.  

I used some of my leftover diecuts from a previous layout to create my layers.  I also cut out banner pieces and tags to create my design. 

I used paper doilies,  crocheted doilies  cheesecloth,  flowers,  and lace for this layout.

Scrapbook Layout using Blue Fern Studios Yuletide collection

Hey Crafty Friends I have a layout Blue Fern Studios New Gorgeous Yuletide collection!

I was inspired to create a layout that didn't look holiday or christmas themed.

I did some distressing on the edges to give it that shabby vintage feel.  As always I did some diecutting and added flowers,  crocheted doilies and lace.

The design for this collection is so Gorgeous,  there are so many details and of course I love the colors!

 Seaside Cottage Folio Journal

 

 The beautiful Seaside Cottage collection was the inspiration for this folio journal. The soft white washed palette is perfect for an ocean side feel and the matching elements gave me lots to work with.

 

For the front cover I used the "Guide Me Home" chipboard set, embossing it to add texture.

 

 I used some gingham fabric to cover the spine and added a strip of lace that matches the collection perfectly!

I created this folio journal and packed it with lots of ephemera. Many of the pieces are altered using pieces from the ephemera pack as well as the journal card pack.

 

 

I love making pockets and filling them with the bits and pieces from the collection, snippets of lace and ribbons.

 

 

I also make lots of tags using some fun found slide frames, photo negative strips and old music sheets, adding stitching that give a vintage feel. I also had fun adding some stenciling with the brand new 

Blue Fern stencils! So fun!
