Hello Crafty Friends,  my name is Phyllis Fernandez and I'm so honored to be Blue Fern Studios Fan of the month for September.  I love Blue Fern Studios paper and chipboard,  they're so Gorgeous and so fun to create with.  I won't lie......sometimes I don't even want to cut into the paper collections because they're soooo Gorgeous!  I finally had a chance to play with some of Blue Fern Studios Embossing Powders,  WOW I had no idea how awesome they are to create with!

April projects by Vera Shelemekh

Hello Blue Fern Studios fans!
Vera is here and I'm happy to share some inspiring projects with you. This month I keep on playing with Spring Parade collection scrapping my Easter photos... But first let me show you the Chesterville layout which I like a lot.

The layout keeps memories of our house renovation. Our kid was feeling really excited to help with this and that. I used  Chesterville - Whitford as the background adding Textured Wildflowers chipboard covered with Antique gold embossing powder.

The photo is framed into a bigger Clip frame painted with white acrylic paint.  I used one of the Chunky words for the title.

Essential textures stamp helped me to add some more details to the background. And the bricks are covered with Mermaid glitter.

Spring Parade and Chesterville Inspiration by Kris Berc

Hi, Blue Fern Studios friends and fans! It's Kris here to share my April layouts with you.

Cousins are Friends for Life

For my first layout, I chose chose two papers from the Spring Parade collection.  To treat the background, I flicked 5 different colors of spray, letting each color dry before adding the next.  I then added some texture paste through a stencil, and when dry, I added some contrast using black ink with the Serendipity Medley stamp.

I used the larger of the two hearts from the Frilly Hearts chipboard set to ground my photo.  It's embossed with Antique Gold embossing powder.

The title piece is embossed with the new Pink Dust powder.  It's such a pretty color!

I dabbed the flowers with a bit of gesso to blend everything together.

Below you can see a closeup of the background details.

Everyday Moments

Here's another layout made with Spring Parade paper! I treated this one with 4 colors of spray and modeling paste through a stencil.  When dry, I added contrast with black ink and one of the Coarse Fabrics stamps.  Then I decided to randomly stamp the Forever stamp all over the page, sometimes horizontal and sometimes vertical.  I like the effect!

The title chipboard piece, Everyday Moments, is treated with two layers of Ebony embossing powder.

Oh this Beaded Flourish chipboard piece is really beautiful!  I chose the Icicle embossing powder for it.  It's a lovely color for such a lovely piece.

I also embossed some Turkish Bits chipboard pieces in Icicle powder.

All flowers were treated with dabs of gesso :)

Dazzling

My last layout for today features awesome paper and chipboard from the Chesterville collection.  Oh how I love this paper!  I decided to make a girly, yet funky, page with it.  I treated the background with four colors of spray, a layer of modeling paste through a stencil, and some random stamping with a stamp from the Forever stamp set.

That cool abstract chipboard piece behind the photo is called Chesterville Doodle.  I embossed it with 14 Karat embossing powder.

This time I treated the flowers with a few drops of white spray.

Since I was going for a girly yet funky, grungy look, I added some lace and some burlap between the paper layers.

The Dazzling title piece from the Brilliant, Amazing, Dazzling chipboard set was treated with 2 layers of Ebony embossing powder.

One more detail shot!

March projects by Wendy Scholten

Hello everyone,
Today is my turn on the Blue Fern Studios Blog with my march projects.
I made 3 layouts, one with the chesterville collection and two with the new Spring Parade collection.

So let's start with the one from the Chesterville Collection called:

"Adorable"

I just love this picture of our little girl, she was only 10 months here.
I made this layout with the Whitford papers, i used the backside for my background and a piece from the front of the paper to place behind my photo.
Don't you just love those papers, you can use them for every subject.
I embossed the chipboard pieces Textured Wildflowers, Memory Frames, one of the bohemian flowers and the word Adorable with the: iris, vintage gold and sand&sea embossing powders.
To give the background a bit more texture i used the Essential Textures Stamp, that's all it really needed.
I also used a lot of the gorgeous flowers : Heartland Blossoms, Courtship roses and the Dark Tropic Lilies
I used a few things from my own stash: baubles, lace, berries, small beads in different colors and just a little bit of paint.

This is such a beautiful, bright paper collection that  really feels like spring, although you can use it for anything!

This one i called:

"Dazzling"

For this one i used the June paper as my background, and a stencil with some moddeling paste and oil pastels to color the background. Behind my photo i used a piece of the Susie's garden paper, i also fussy cutted a lot of flowers from that paper.
First i embossed the Janie's Fram Chipboard piece with the Lilac and the new Lavender Egg's embossing powders,
I placed the frame and the fussy cut flowers behind my photo frame and decided i wanted to turn the picture a bit to the side to give it a different effect.
i placed some rhinestones in and around my frame to give it a bit of sparkle.
The title Dazzling i embossed with the lavender Egg's and Fern Embossing powders to let it stand out a bit more.
i used a few little flowers, lace, a sticker and rhinestones from my own stash tot complete this layout.

For the background i used a stencil with some moddeling paste as well as oil pastels for some color. I also used the tattered newsprint stamp with snow embossing powder to give my background some texture.
I chose the Spring Bunny Frame, Spring Trinkets and the title Cute stuff from the Good vibes set for my chipboards, i embossed the spring bunnies frame with lilac embossing powder, the spring trinkets with Lavender Egg's and Speckled mint embossing powders.
I used flowers from different collections on this one: Spring Florals,  Attic Charm Daisies, Heartland Blossoms and Spring Lilies
