Hello all BFS Fans. Today I'm coming with 3 mixed -media projects.

First one is Little canvas in summer colors with my son on it. I use Dot Grid Panel as background to my project. Those panels from BFS are awesome You can use them to whole 12''x12'' work or cut to pieces so many ways of use a single product ! . one of Memory Frames become frame to my photo and Dream Big sign is title and filling to my composition

This work is girly and messy. I made  background using leftovers from circlce pannels I had. I glued them layered , and covered all with gesso . I recomend thick product to do that . Then i made composition using Graduated Circles and Blue Fern Bits and one of theValentine's Word Set is title.

This work was inspired by amazing photo of little girl.  I use Beaded Strings The Optimist Word Set, Heart Set and Jeweled Page Dangles to enhance delicacy of this picture.

A card and something altered from Maja

Hi all Blue Fern Lovers. I´m here today to share some small projects I made using  papers from the "Blue Fern Garden" line  and of course some of BFS lovely chipboard. First up is a card.

Blue Fern Products used:
Papers: Love Letters, Timeless and Calling Cards.
Chipboard: Grande Cages

My next projects turned out to be some kind of a frame. I have used a small wooden "box" or what you should call it. I ordered some resin embellisment and got them in this box. I started with painting the box with white paint and then used some of BFS papers, BFS chipboards and flowers to decorate it.

The beaded sting that I have used around my photo here is painted with crackle texture paste.

I have chalked the chipboard pieces. On the word "Love" I also used some Glossy Accent.

Blue Fern Products used:
Papers: Parlour
Chipboard: Petite Boutique Frames, Little Bird Set, 2Hearts Set, Beaded Srtings and Veranda Cage Set.

Thanks for stopping by =)

April Projects with Rae

Happy Sunday! It's Rae with you to share some projects I've made this month.

Dream Layout

First up, I have my sketch layout. You may have seen it if you have checked out our April sketch challenge. Here is the lovely sketch:

And, here is my take on it using the Blue Fern Garden paper collection:

Here's a closeup of the "Beaded Strings" circle piece. I primed it with gesso, then used a blending tool with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink by Ranger. I finished the treatment by adding some random stamping with a text stamp in archival ink, and placed some bling on each of the "beads."

This piece from the "Ironworks Accents" set fit perfectly at the top of the layout. I primed it with gesso, then added some Ranger "cement" embossing powder, then lightly added some grey chalk ink for added distressing.

The "Blue Fern Flourish" is tucked under the flowers. I used gesso to prime (of course!), then added some green Distress Stain and some olive chalk ink after the stain was dry.

If you haven't already, play along with us this month with the April sketch: April Sketch Challenge!

Butterfly Tag

For this tag I used three keys from the "Vintage Keys" set. I colored them with silver Izink without priming them first to create a "dull" look to the keys.

I painted this "Bohemian Butterfly" with glossy black paint with a sponge. When it was dry, I glued it to some pink paper, then cut around it. I topped it off with some crystals to accent the body.

Dream Big Layout

And, the last project I am sharing today is this layout:

I tucked the "Seasonal Wildflowers" under the picture after coloring it with blue chalk ink and sponging on some walnut stain Distress Ink. I layered the different inks several times in random spots, and added some small blooms.

This title is from "The Optimist Word Set." I primed it with gesso, then added some Ranger embossing ink in turquoise. It was a little brighter than I wanted it to be, so I used some brown chalk ink to randomly tone down that blue.

For the "Doily Bunting" I grazed it with black archival ink, then added some wired raffia along the "string," and then placed tiny blooms on each doily.

Thank you for letting me share my projects with you today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

A Little Bit of Spring

Hi, it's Valerie today, and I've got spring on my mind.  With Easter approaching, I pulled out the Blue Fern Garden paper collection, along with a few chipboard pieces, and created an Easter layout and card.

First up is a layout using the "Picnic"  and "Timeless" paper and a photo of my niece that was taken last Easter.

I chose the Cosmos Basket as a backdrop for the photos, tucked in a Bohemian Flower with the cluster, and painted some Checker Bits green, as a page accent.

Here are a couple of close ups of the chipboard pieces:

Next, I created a little Happy Easter card using the Timeless and Calling Cards papers from the Blue Fern Garden collection.  I painted the bunny in the Bunny Basket chipboard set, and used the smallest circle from the Beaded Strings set.

Lastly, I've had this sweet photo of my nephew that I took when he an infant, that I wanted to use with the Parlour paper.  I first worked with the background to create a grunge look (the Blue Fern Garden paper is perfect for this, since it's good and heavy).  I primed the Lattice Gate with gesso, applied a coat of Inka Gold (Old Silver), and unevenly sponged on some gold Prima Metallic Chalk Edger, to give it a distressed look.  I also primed the Broken Rings, and inked them with black ink.

Here is a close-up of the chipboard pieces:

That's all from me this month.  I love trying to achieve different looks with this chipboard!
Be sure to stop by tomorrow when Jackie will share a few of her projects with you!
