Hello Layout - by Vicky Alberto

Sharing a layout today showcasing Blue Fern's Radiance collection which includes pretty papers, gorgeous chipboard, amazing lace and fantastic white flowers.  All I needed to do is add a doily from my stash.  The picture is a throwback to a little puppy abandoned from its mother at 7 weeks old (picture taken over 25 years ago!), that we ended up loving for almost 17 years before he passed away.

On the first close-up you can see that I cut a large ornate corner chipboard flourish to better suit my layout.  On the bigger portion I inked it dark yellow and then randomly glued some fabulous sunbeam powder on it.

On the smaller portion of the flourish above, and also the "hello" chipboard below, I used a mix of gesso and seafoam powder to give it a shabby chic look.

As always, thanks for stopping by to take a look at my project!

Snail mail envelope with the bird waltz collection

Hello, DT Henriëtte here today sharing another project I've created with the Bird Waltz papers.
This time I've made a snail mail envelope.
The idea for the pocket envelope came from Nik the Booksmith, you can find a tutorial here.

On the top flap I glued the little card slot.
It can hold pieces of ephemera, like I did or
a gift card.

The right flap has a corner pocket with a lace border.
It holds a cute little envelop and a tag.

The middle section has two pockets and the left flap has a side tuck spot.

These kind of envelopes are a great way to send snail mail to a friend.
It can hold a handwritten letter, a gift card, little envelopes with goodies in it,
bits of ephemera etc.
The beautiful papers from Blue Fern Studios are perfect to make a this project.

Treasured

A warm hello to all my crafty friends, there is a hidden project in the Bird Waltz paper if you love fussy cutting!

I adore the little frame, so of course, I had to cut it out and use it as a free-standing craft! I began by folding the Scripted Melody sheet in half horizontally and cutting out two frames. I then glued the tops together and left the bottom open (kind of like a camping tent).

I then cut flowers, birds, and butterflies out of Bird Waltz scraps to embellish the frame.

I added teal paint and rose ink to patina the frame a bit.

I decorated both sides and used the chipboard word "Treasured" from the Remnants collection as my title. I also used a blue raffia bow and a music note from my stash.

I hope you enjoyed looking as much as I enjoyed making!
Blessings, Bonnie

Le Papillon - a tri-fold card with The Bird Waltz

Hello, Henriette here today sharing another project with the newest release "The Bird Waltz".

The Bird Waltz collection has some great butterfly images. With them I've created
 this butterfly themed tri-fold card.

The card is made with a 6 x 12 inch piece of cardstock.
I scored at 1,5" -  3" -  5,5" and 8".
Then I measured 1" from the top and bottom until the second fold and 0,5" from the second until the fourth foldline and cut out these pieces.

I decorated all the parts. On the first panel I also glued a piece of ribbon.
Then I added the panels.
To finish the card I used a butterfly chipboard and charm.

Products used:

Papers: The Bird Waltz
Charm: Radiant charms
Chipboard: Gabrielle butterfly set

Hello Birdie Darling

Hello friends, one thing I love about the Bird Waltz collection of papers is how well it goes with any season.  As summer is winding down it's fun to make something for my home that moves right into my fall decor. Today i'm sharing a shadow box featuring the "Birdie Darling" sheet.

On the outside of my frame I decoupaged flowers from the title page "Bird Waltz". I then placed the fussy cut bird from a calling card in the little girl's hand. I used a key from the "Key to my Heart" charms and the adorable 4 and 1/2 cents emphera from the Vintage Christmas collection.

On the bottom corner I added a stained pink flower from lace # 13. I liked the wooden "hello" script and stained it to blend into the vibrant paper. For a funny touch I added a feather at the bottom and the bow at the top was the finishing touch.

Thanks for taking the time to look!
Blessings - Bonnie

Paper birdhouses with Bird Waltz

Hello, DT Henriëtte here today sharing my first project with the new Blue Fern Studios collection "The Bird Waltz".

The papers in the Bird Waltz collection are absolutely stunning as can be seen in
these paper birdhouses I've made.

I searched for a free template on internet and made 5 different sized houses.

You can decorate the houses more but I decided not to because of the beauty
of the patterned papers. I think they look beautiful in all simplicity.

Thanks for stopping by the BFS blog.

Hugs, Henriëtte.
