Sail Away With Me Layout Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage collection

Hey Blue Fern Studios Friends I am sharing my latest layout using Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage collection,  isn't it Gorgeous?

I started with Glory double sided paper from Seaside Cottage collection,  distressed the edges with Tim Holtz paper distresser and a paper punch.  Then I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Speckled Egg Distress Dioxide,  love that color!

I created background texture using Bring your own sunshine stamp set and the new Netting stencil using texture paste,  embossing powder and glitter.
I also did diecutting and tearing with paper from Seaside Cottage papers.

For the chipboard piece I added acrylic paint in mint then added white embossing powder.
I also added lace from the Seaside Cottage collection and then started creating my design with layers of diecuts,  the chipboard,  flowers,  crocheted doilies and cheesecloth.

I also used diecuts from the Ephemera pack.

I can't wait to create more with this collection,  I love anything beachy themed and these colors are some of my favorites!
I hope I've inspired you to create something beautiful with this collection!
Be sure to share your beautiful projects with us on Facebook at Blue Fern Fanatics page.

Happy Creating!

Double Z fold Christmas card

Hi everyone, DT Henriëtte here today sharing a double Z fold card made with the new
Christmas Cheer collection.

I found the inspiration and a tutorial for this special fold card on
Kathy Clement's Youtube channel.
I made the cardbase from ivory cardstock and decorated all the panels with the
beautiful Christmas Cheer patterned papers.

On the center panel I made a pocket for a big tag.
I will write my Christmas wishes on the tag.

I used the ephemera pieces from the collection to decorate the card but also
two chipboard pieces.
I embossed the chipboard with oatmeal embossing powder.
On the chipboard Christmas tree I glued Fir tree seedlings.

The back of the Z fold card is also decorated with the cheerful papers.

I'm very pleased with the result.
This special card will be on it's way soon,  I hope it's recipient likes it too.

Thanks for visiting the Blue Fern Studios blog.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Two cards with the Bird Waltz Collection

Hello and welcome to the Blue Fern Studios blog.
DT Henriëtte here today sharing two cards I've created using the Bird Walz Collection.

On both cards I used chipboard pieces from the Bird Waltz set,
Blue Fern lace and flowers.

I colored the chipboards with inks and paint and also wax to give them some shine.

All paper edges are distressed and I've put brown ink on the flowers, laces and cheesecloth
to give them a more vintage look.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Tea bag booklet

Hello and welcome to the Blue Fern Studios blog.
Today I'm sharing a little tea bag booklet I've made using the Bird Waltz collection.

I used tea filters which I tea died. I glued two filters/bags together, stacked them and
sewed in the middle to get a little book.
This book is 3 x 4,5 inches (7,5 x 10 cm) with 30 pages.

I decorated each page. I used the bird Waltz papers, ephemera, charms, stamps,
chipboards and laces.

I sewed paper clusters and made little pockets for tags and ephemera.
On some of the edges  I've added butterfly wings.

On this page I made a bellyband.

I have a flip through video of all the pages on my you tube channel;

Products used:

The Bird Waltz papers
The Bird Waltz ephemera
Dragonfly chipboard
Floral lace chipboard
Song Bird stamp
Bird Waltz Stamp
Radiant flower charm
Lace 15

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Hello Layout - by Vicky Alberto

Sharing a layout today showcasing Blue Fern's Radiance collection which includes pretty papers, gorgeous chipboard, amazing lace and fantastic white flowers.  All I needed to do is add a doily from my stash.  The picture is a throwback to a little puppy abandoned from its mother at 7 weeks old (picture taken over 25 years ago!), that we ended up loving for almost 17 years before he passed away.

On the first close-up you can see that I cut a large ornate corner chipboard flourish to better suit my layout.  On the bigger portion I inked it dark yellow and then randomly glued some fabulous sunbeam powder on it.

On the smaller portion of the flourish above, and also the "hello" chipboard below, I used a mix of gesso and seafoam powder to give it a shabby chic look.

As always, thanks for stopping by to take a look at my project!

Christmas in July Gift Tags - by Vicky Alberto

I am sharing a few "Christmas in July" gift tags made with Blue Fern's Homespun collection.  This was a fun challenge to use an unrelated collection and turn it into a few festive looking oversized gift tags.

On the first tag, I used "Barb's Medallion" chipboard, painted it white and topped it with diamond dust glass - for a chilly look.  I then added a round adhesive shape from the Homespun collection and surrounded it with Blue Fern blooms... again adding diamond dust to the white flowers. The white ribbon is also from Blue Fern.

On the second tag I used some gorgeous Blue Fern white lace, white flowers and a coordinating Homespun adhesive shape.  The red ribbon is also from Blue Fern... so I dug into my stash to find a few red blooms to complement the papers and the pretty ribbon, to add contrast to the fantastic white flowers and beautiful lace.

Thanks as always for stopping by to take a peek today!

Wild & Free Layout - by Vicky Alberto

Sharing a layout created with Blue Fern's Wanderlust and Happy Accident collections.  This is a snapshot of the lakehouse before our renovations begin. Lots of layers and distressing and chipboard on this project!

Here is a close-up of A Spring Day chipboard bird (coated with oatmeal powder), Happy Accident ephemera and various Blue Fern blooms.

On this close-up, more of A Spring Day chipboard... the bird coated with oatmeal powder and the rest inked. All topped with a variety of Blue Fern blooms. There is also a Classic Mini Chipboard Frame that I distress inked and randomly glued oatmeal powder for a rustic look.
