Hello Blue Fern Fans! We welcome back our March Fan of the Month, Edith Cloutier. You're going to love her second layout of the month. The colors are beautiful, and the photo is amazing. Everything just comes together so well.
From Edith, describing her layout:
I used “George” paper from the new hottest collection Chesterville for my layout. I added texture paste to emboss with “Blue Fern Wheat Embossing Powder”. I used the same embossing powder on my title.
I like to use some pieces of chipboard to add some dimension. Flowers were perfect to decorate my creation. On the final touch, I used glitters (Merlot) with glass beads and micro beads.
Today we wrap up the month of January with the final layouts from Kathleen White, our Blue Fern Fan of the Month. It has been a joy to have Kathleen with us. Her love of Blue Fern products can be seen in each of her projects and we are thrilled that we have been able to share her creativity with you during this month!

XOXO
Hello all of you Blue Fern Studio fans! Kathleen here with another
layout for you. This time we are leaving the tropics far behind and
landing in Ireland with my second daughter. We were visiting the
beautiful town of Trim.
I used the beautiful Twilight Fable paper with lovely rose bouquets
scattered all around. To begin this layout I used a note punch
randomly around the paper. I used a doily punch on one of the strips
cut from the bottom of the paper and glued equal pieces behind
the first punch outs, then backed it all with white card-stock. Then using
a stencil and modeling paste I created a linear background to the
design.
Next I cut out the note cards, and layered them with lace and
chipboard. The chipboard is so gorgeous. I used Seafoam Embossing Powder on half of the chippie and painted the rest in red, topped with Pink Pearl Glitter. The chippie was cut into sections then tucked into the
layers.
I selected blooms from the Dark Tropical Lilies and Attic Charm Glitter
Roses plus a couple from my stash. Then using a deep pink rose paint
and tea stain brown I painted around the layers topping it off with
white splatters. Finally I added a few red pearl dots from my stash and
voila we are done!

My Story
Before
I share my final layout with you this month I would like to thank Blue
Fern Studios for choosing me as their "Fan" of the month. It has been a
wonderful honor and opportunity to work alongside the very talented BFS
design team. I absolutely adore Blue Fern Studio productsfrom their gorgeous paper collections and coordinating blooms, to embossing powders and everything else!
This is my son when he was a tot. I have
had this photo in my pile of pics to scrap for years! Then I saw this
gorgeous paper in the Memoires collection called "Autumn Biography" and I
knew it was perfect for this picture.
For the back ground I used a mask and texture paste . After that dried, I layered my note card using pop dots in
between each layer to give height, allowing space for tucking bits and
pieces. I cut out the girl holding a journal from the note card "My
Story" and tucked it into the foliage.
Finally using some green
and burnt red water colors I shaded in areas around the design. Then
came a few copper micro beads and blue glass beads to complete it.
I keep all of my scraps for future use such as
these cut outs I used here from the Autumn Anthology collection. These
collections blend seamlessly together. When
you don't have a lot of blooms just pull apart layers and tuck them
into the foliage as shown above. Then add a few beads to the bottom
layer and viola another complete bloom shown below.

Here's the video step-by-step layout tutorial, I hope you enjoy it!
Hello Blue Fern Studios fans! I am thrilled to write my first blog post as Blue Fern Studios Design Team member! It's a dream come true for me!
Let me first introduce me. I am 39 years old and I live in Quebec City, Canada. I'm a 4th grade teacher and a mother of two children of 6 and 4 years old that are the main stars of my layouts. I do scrapbooking for 11 years now and this is my passion. I love doing romantic layouts full of flowers. I also love mixed media.
Here's my first projects as Blue Fern Studios Design Team member.
'Follow Your Heart'
For this first layout, I made a step-by-step video tutorial that you can watch below. I used the paper Heartland XOXO to start this project. First, I made a textured background with a stencil and modeling paste. I used yellow and caramel inks to add colors. I also add details with the 'Making Plans' and 'Vintage Phrase' stamps.
Then, I embossed my chipboards 'Crackle Bits' with BFS Imagine Ink Embossing Powder 'In the Navy'. I used 4 pieces of this chipboard under my picture. I cut one piece to make the design I wanted. I used 3 others papers of the Heartland collection to put under my picture.
I embossed my title 'Follow Your Heart' with BFS Imagine Ink Embossing Powder 'Honey'.
Then, I glued many Blue Fern Studios blue, yellow, white and turquoise flowers.

I embossed the 'Floral Lattice Bits' chipboards with BFS Imagine Ink Embossing Powder 'Garnet' to add a little bit of colour. I used pieces of Vintage Christmas 'Greeting Cards' paper and Vintage Christmas 2 'Holiday Cards' to put under my picture.
I embossed the chipboard 'Circle Vine' with BFS Imagine Ink Embossing Powder 'Ginger' and my title 'Magnifique' from the French Adjectives 1 chipboard set with BFS Imagine Ink Embossing Powder 'Garnet'.
Then, I add many Blue Fern Studios flowers.

Hi everyone! Today, I have prepared three layouts using the beautiful Blue Fern Studio materials. And I'm happy to show them to you.
September... Fall brings cool. And we all want to extend the summer. Let's try? My layout of the summer days. A lot of flowers and heat. And romance of course!
"Forest Fairy" layout
This layout is for my sister. I really like this photo, and I wanted to do a little magic layout. Simple and complex at the same time. I used the Susan's Dream paper from the Ombre Dreams Collection as my background paper. I wanted a very light background, and this paper was the perfect. Сhipboard of a set "Forest Friends" can be applied idealy for this layout.
From the photos I made a 3-D structure. Cut the picture into several parts and the central part raised above the rest.
Chipboard Swirly Doodle was covered with Imagine Ink 14 Karat embossing powders. It is so beautifully with butterflies and spring flowers!
Animals from the "Forest Friends" set was covered with mixture of Imagine Ink embossing powders in 14 Karat and Petal. For snail I added additionaly Breeze Imagine Ink embossing powders.
And then you can see in the background mix of glitters - Sunshine and Peridot. They are so funny!
My second layout about the walking in a lilac garden. La Plume paper from the Deja Vu Collection I used as my background paper. The second paper is the same I used to cut flowers out of it. Many flowers and tenderness.
Serenity was covered with mixture of Imagine Ink embossing powders in Lilac and Iris. Harlequin Panel decorated with Imagine Ink 14 karat embossing powder.
I used the Serendipity Medley stamp with Imagine Ink Iris embossing powder to create some details on my background. Plus I added drops of glitter Dusty Rose.
A little bit of lace and shabby ribbons added romance and tenderness. And the main decor - flowers cutting from La Plume paper.
Blue Fern Studios Supply List: Paper: Deja Vu - La Plume Chipboard: "Serenity, Calm, Hushed" set, Harlequin Panel Stamp: Serendipity Medley Imagine Ink Embossing Powder: Lilac, Iris, 14 karat Glitters: Dusty Rose
"Romance with umbrella" layout
The third layout today about romance with umbrella. It's very romantic and feminine. I used the Allegro paper from the Frolic Collection as my background paper.
Stillness was covered with Imagine Ink Breeze embossing powder. Embroidery - a little bird - adds a unique for my work.
I used a lot of lace, butterflies. Аnd of course, the flowers of the sets - Attic Charm Glitter Roses, Courtship Roses. They are beautiful!
Romantic Page Dangles I covered with Imagine Ink 14 karat embossing powder.
