March layout by Yuko

Hello everyone!
Today is my turn!
First of all, I will introduce the spring layout.

【Dilight in the little things】
I go to hunt strawberries that I go every year.
Amber & Apricot and Home Spun
I mixed two kinds of collections and used it.

Flower is Apricot Blooms.
I often use this flower.Easy to use size and color!

Also find your favorite embossed powder! ! !
It is the color "IVORY".
Until now there are several kinds of white
White, pearl white, white with lame ...
But I did not have this subtle IVORY!
This is perfect color when not enough in white!
Or almighty too much color !

Cupcake chip board (Party Cakes) is cute too !
Put paper on the cup part and draw with a white pen.
Cream part is It's A GIRL pretty pink embossed powder.

【A MOMENT in Time】
This picture was taken at the photo studio.
It is my favorite picture.
My daughter looks smart!

This embossed powder is also wonderful!
It is Black & Gold.
It is a feeling that gold lame firmly rides in black.
So it's heavy in black. GOLD is flashy. It matches very well in the case.

Originally this paper has a pattern like this
I also made a pattern using a stamp ”Tattered Harlequin”.
If you press a black stamp, the layout will be tightened.
seedilngs is the color Meadow.

I used green embossed powder AVOCADO
for the leaf chipboard (Rose Leaf).

This seedlings is the color Twig.
It is metallic and cool!

【BEAUTIFUL】
A picture by younger sister's wedding of my husband was used!
The expression relieved for my daughter to finish
the important duty to which she says
when a wedding ring was carried safely.

This leaf isn't green and is gold.
Such case is gold as expected! It becomes showy, doesn't it?

A race is indispensable to make it gorgeous!
This race is my favorite as it gets really gorgeous!

March Inspiration - Megan

Hi there Blue Fern Fans :)

Today I have two layouts for you using Amber & Apricot, and two cards, one using wanderlust and one using Remnants, so lets get to it :)

For this layout, I fussy cut along both edges and popped a large chipboard sheet behind it, before adhering it on top of my second piece of patterned paper.  I could then add my chipboard popping out from along the sides.  Theres also some fussy cutting, utilising the fabulous floral graphics to add more depth to my cluster.

The details: sprinklings of seedlings and splatters of rust colours.

Chipboard has been embossed with Mushroom Embossing Powder - I find myself reaching for this one a lot, its a fab colour!

This photo shows you all the dimension of this layout, lots and lots of layers, makes everything pop!

Flowers:

My second layout today again uses the lovely Amber & Apricot collection.

My background this time is a mixture of stamping, paint splattering and fussy cutting -  this collection was perfect for it! ;)

Again there is a lot of dimension to this layout.  The heart has been painted,  while its till wet covered in red glitter, and then inked the edges with black archival ink.

I love how the seedlings give that extra bit of interest and pop to a project!

My final project for you today is two cards with two different collections.

The first card uses the Remnants Collection.  The Callaway piece of patterned paper is perfect for cards - out of the four different 6x6 patterns, I selected the two I wanted and attached them to my cardstock base.

I used two different colours of seedlings to coordinate with the green/purple colour scheme I had chosen.

The chipboard this time I left bare because I felt there was enough colour without introducing a new one.  The printed chipboard pieces created further interest popping out from my cluster and curled paper edges.

The last project for you today is a card using the Wanderlust collection.  The card was for a colleague who was leaving; young and full of energy I thought this quote was here to a T! :)

Simple but effective there was really nothing to this but I love how it turned out.  Layers of paper with layers of chipboard, some twine and a bit of paint splattering.

You can see here the amount of layering involved.
Thanks for popping by!  I'll see you next month :)

March inspirations by Jennifer Jacques

Hello Blue Fern Fans!!!

It's my turn today on the Blue Fern Studios blog and
I'm glad to show you my three layouts for March.

For the first one, I've chosen to go with the latest collection, the lovely In the mood.
"Attracted" was the paper I've chosen as my background.  I applied clear gesso, then permanent ink through a stencil and, finally, some stamping here and there.
There is also a piece of "Blissful" paper (b-side) under my picture.

Above, you can see that I've placed my picture on a piece of chipboard, that I've had embossed with Oatmeal embossing powder.  Higher, you can also see the stamping with Grungy grid Stamp, one of my favorite.  Lace #4 is used in little parts, here and there, as an ornement by itself.

Did you know that pink is my favorite color?  I was so happy when I saw the collection, and look at this beautiful paper flower...  Pale pink, just like I adoooooore!!!  Came from Moody florals set.  Pieces of Lace #4 again, and Forest embossing powder on my chipboard leaves.
Next, a complete picture of what I've done to my title.

I applied some heat and stick powder, than my Mocha glitters.  I fell in love.  Isn't it beautiful???
Again, you can partly see under my title the Grungy grid stamping but also some with a
Texture circles ( I've chosed the script lettering one).

Some white gesso splattering, a little bit of sequins and that was it!

Next, my favorite one!

Wanderlust collection this time.  Can't believe it was my first time with that beautiful collection.

Two papers were used as the background.  The upper part is Memento (b-side) and Ocean Voyage as the lower one.  The green part in the middle is Ocean voyage b-side.  Clear gesso and some sprays as watercoloring in some places to add some colors under my focal point.

Then, I've added some stamping with three differents stamps: Crackle textures (black ink), Swiss dots (light brown ink) and Tattered  newsprint (pale navy blue one).

Did you notice the lace under my picture?  It's the lovely Lace #12.  I  loved that one sooooo much that I've had almost finish what I have on hand loll.

I've cutted my title and then embossed it with the Taupe embossing powder.  Really love that color.  Like a browny-gold shimmery color... It's beautiful, really!

Above, between the layers of papers, I stuck some flowers that I've folded to make them more dimensional.  The white one in the left corner is from Christmas blooms set and the kaki-green one beside, is a yellow flower that I've misted to match the color of my layout and came from Fresh Florals.

Finally, some personnal touches like white gesso splatters, some flairs and some butterflies.

Finally, the third one with Heartland collection!

Perfectly matches my picture, no???

My background is the "Love blooms" paper (B-side) and I've placed some pieces of "Love notes" under the pictures.  It is all on a big piece of chipboard panel that I've embossed with the Snow embossing powder, then add some metallic blue paint that I've sanded after it was dry.  After that, I've done some stamping with the Grungy grid stamp and a black permanent ink.

I've stamped the weathered doilie twice on my background.  Just a black permanent ink.
Love the distress look of that stamp.

As ornements, I've added many flowers on that layout.  The bold blue ones, and the whites with the pearls are from Heartland blooms.  Others are from my personal stash.

My title is also embossed but with the Ebony embossing powder.
Finally, I've added some die-cut leaves that I've made with the "Sweet on you" paper with my flowers clustering, some flairs and
some white gesso splatters as usual.
