February projects by Vera Shelemekh

Hello Blue Fern Studios fans.
Vera is here to share some projects with the very new and amazing Chesterville collection and also one layout with Heartland as I fell in love with the wonderfull blooming papers.

Let's start with Chesterville.  Hargrave became the background for my first project. The layout has been created for a good friend of mine.  I framed the photo into large Circle flourish chipboard covered with lime and antique gold embossing powder.
I also added some stamping with Texture 1 set.

Chesterville looks wonderful with cut elements from other collections, for exaple with mushrooms cut from Autumn antology.

I also decorated the layout with the Lifetime header covered with antique gold embossing powder and a Spring lily.

Blue Fern Studios products used:
Papers:
Chesterville - Hargrave
Autumn antology - Calling cards
Chipboards:
Large Circle flourish
Chunky Words
Embossing powders:
Lime
Antique gold
Stamps:
Texture 1 set

Flowers:
Spring lilies
------------------------------

My second project proves that Chesterville collection may be used even for wedding purposes. I have created two wedding cards. Chesterville - Bretton became the background.

The die cut frame and leaves are made of Buckley sheet.
I decorated the cards with Little birds chipboards, Bits of honey and Winter lilies. Chipboards are covered with Icicle embossing powder.

Papers:
Chesterville -Bretton
Chesterville -Buckley
Chipboards:
Bits of honey
Little birds Set
Embossing powders:

Flowers:
Late Winter lilies
------------------------------
And for the dessert today is the bright pink wedding layout with Heartland collection. Kiss Kiss background and a lot of fussy cutting from Red Rose Ball and Love Song serenade.

You can see numerous layers here. I achieved that with the help of chipboards: floral lattice bits covered with Icicle embossing powder, Spirit of Heartland painted with acrylic paint and the bird covered with Fools gold glitter.

There is some texture stamping with  Iris embossing powder. And the Header cut from Together is the best place to be. It seemed too long to me so I decided to leave the rest for another layout))

Thank You Daria

Hello Blue Fern Fans.  It's hard to believe that this is the last full week of February, which brings us to the last project from our Blue Fern Fan of the Month, Daria Makarova.  A big thanks to Daria for using our products so beautifully this month.  We will now turn it over to Daria to let you know a little bit about her magnificent layout below.

I have created my last layout of the month using the Bretton paper from the Chesterville Collection.  I fell in love with this collection because it has incredible prints that are suitable for many different projects.

I used Wheat Embossing powder on the chipboard piece.  On the layout I used Burnt Copper Glitter with modeling paste.  It is an amazing color!  I have finished it off with the Courtship Roses flowers from Blue Fern Studios.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with an excellent paper that is beautifully decorated!

February Projects for Lydia Guijt

 Hello Blue Fern Studios friends.
It's Lydia here today showing you my 3 projects for February.
So excited to be using the soon to be released Chesterville Collection. The first 2 layouts are made withe that and the third with the Serendipity Collection. Here goes!

Capture the Moment

For my back ground work I started off with using the Postal Textures Stamp and Antique Gold Embossing Powder to create some interest. After that I followed with a stencil and paste.
The Swirly Doodle and Swirly Circle Chipboard pieces I embossed with Black Sand BFS Embossing Powder and the Roman Clock Set and Captured Words with Copper BFS Embossing Powder.

Once I had all the preparations done it was time to start layering. Adding Late Winter Lilies and other embellishments to get the layout together. Some finishing touches with some mists and ink splatters and we're done with the first one.

For my second layout with the Chestervile collection I used another picture from our trip to the Grand Canyon. The mountains fit perfectly with the colors of these papers. To make things pop I decided to go with a contrasting color. I had my eye on the gorgeous Peacock BFS Embossing Powder for the Manchester Frame. Working my way back to all the other accents with that.

For my background I used the stamp and embossing technique again. Going with the Scratched stamp and Antique Gold BFS Embossing Powder. Followed by a stencil and paste, some misting and ink splatters.

The Notebook Edges chipboard piece I embossed with Black Sand BFS Embossing Powder. The Seasonal Wild Flowers and Journey, Explore, Discover chipboard pieces with Oatmeal BFS Embossing Powder. Adding Autumn Glitter to the tips. With this all prepared I cut some pieces of paper from the Chester and Holmes papers to create some layers adding the chipboard pieces and Dark Tropic Lilies and other embellishments to finish of the layout. A final touch of ink splatters and we're done.

Memories Captures

For my last layout this month I chose the brighter color scheme of the Serendipity Collection. Getting ready for Spring this part of the world.

For the back ground I started with stamping around the page with a combination of stamps, Postal Textures, Christmas Collage & Shabby Edges. Followed by a stencil using an assortment of pastes. The gorgeous Janie's Frame chipboard piece was embossed with Oatmeal BFS Embossing Powder. After it was done I cut it through half to position on either side of the page.

I fuzzy cut some pieces from the Merriment sheet to use on the layout and several butterflies. Assembling it all I used an assortment of BFS Flowers : Dark Tropc LiliesSoft Blossoms & Courtship Roses. Adding some final touches with some Burnt Copper Sunshine Glitter for a bit of extra sparkle and we're done.

February Inspirations with a video by Annie Samson

I am so happy today to share with you 2 layouts made with the new collection Chesterville.

This collection is amazing and so versatile.

For my first layout, Sassy,  I have used the back side of the Keswick paper of the Chesterville collection.

To add texture to my backgroud, I have used the Essential Tertures Stamp Set with brown ink and Forest Most embossing powder. I use a stensil with modeling past and add Forest Most embosing powder on top of it . Than, I have used green ink to add color to the paper.

To add texture on my chipboard, I use Forest Most and Peacock embossing powder. For my title chipboard, I have brushed wite gesso on top of it.

To embellish my layout, I have used flowers from the Attic Charm Glitter RosesHarvest Lilies and Late Winther Lilies.

Ocean Blue

Today we welcome back Daria, our Blue Fern Fan of the Month.  This gorgeous ocean blue paper is from the Heartland Collection.  It is so perfect with the photo Daria has used for her layout.

Daria has built some amazing texture on her layout.
The flowers that are framing the photo are from the Heartland Bloossoms and Dark Tropic Lilies collections.

The chipboard piece has been embellished with Blue Fern Stormy Sea and Breeze embossing powders.

Be sure to check back next week when Daria will have another project to share!
