Treasured

A warm hello to all my crafty friends, there is a hidden project in the Bird Waltz paper if you love fussy cutting!

I adore the little frame, so of course, I had to cut it out and use it as a free-standing craft! I began by folding the Scripted Melody sheet in half horizontally and cutting out two frames. I then glued the tops together and left the bottom open (kind of like a camping tent).

I then cut flowers, birds, and butterflies out of Bird Waltz scraps to embellish the frame.

I added teal paint and rose ink to patina the frame a bit.

I decorated both sides and used the chipboard word "Treasured" from the Remnants collection as my title. I also used a blue raffia bow and a music note from my stash.

I hope you enjoyed looking as much as I enjoyed making!
Blessings, Bonnie

Le Papillon - a tri-fold card with The Bird Waltz

Hello, Henriette here today sharing another project with the newest release "The Bird Waltz".

The Bird Waltz collection has some great butterfly images. With them I've created
 this butterfly themed tri-fold card.

The card is made with a 6 x 12 inch piece of cardstock.
I scored at 1,5" -  3" -  5,5" and 8".
Then I measured 1" from the top and bottom until the second fold and 0,5" from the second until the fourth foldline and cut out these pieces.

I decorated all the parts. On the first panel I also glued a piece of ribbon.
Then I added the panels.
To finish the card I used a butterfly chipboard and charm.

Products used:

Papers: The Bird Waltz
Charm: Radiant charms
Chipboard: Gabrielle butterfly set

Hello Birdie Darling

Hello friends, one thing I love about the Bird Waltz collection of papers is how well it goes with any season.  As summer is winding down it's fun to make something for my home that moves right into my fall decor. Today i'm sharing a shadow box featuring the "Birdie Darling" sheet.

On the outside of my frame I decoupaged flowers from the title page "Bird Waltz". I then placed the fussy cut bird from a calling card in the little girl's hand. I used a key from the "Key to my Heart" charms and the adorable 4 and 1/2 cents emphera from the Vintage Christmas collection.

On the bottom corner I added a stained pink flower from lace # 13. I liked the wooden "hello" script and stained it to blend into the vibrant paper. For a funny touch I added a feather at the bottom and the bow at the top was the finishing touch.

Thanks for taking the time to look!

Paper birdhouses with Bird Waltz

Hello, DT Henriëtte here today sharing my first project with the new Blue Fern Studios collection "The Bird Waltz".

The papers in the Bird Waltz collection are absolutely stunning as can be seen in
these paper birdhouses I've made.

I searched for a free template on internet and made 5 different sized houses.

You can decorate the houses more but I decided not to because of the beauty
of the patterned papers. I think they look beautiful in all simplicity.

Thanks for stopping by the BFS blog.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Christmas Window Album

Hi everyone! I'm pleased to be asked to post this little album I created using the Vintage Christmas 1&2 collections. I love making small books and albums with lots of layering and details!

I made a window in the cover using a frame die-cut and adding acetate to add depth. I placed a Christmas tree in the center of the window to create a picture window feel. I cut random flowers from the papers to embellish throughout the album.

The first page opens up to the tree and the window decorated for the holidays!

This collection has so many beautiful images! Since I love to fussy cut it was perfect for this project.

I added chipboard pieces that I painted to match the papers.

I love putting tuck spots here and there to add little journal cards and extra photos to the pages.

I hope you enjoyed my little book as much as I did making it!

At Christmas, All Roads Lead Home

For a jolly Christmas in July I thought I would feature this paper with Santa and his wheels! It is one of my favorite Christmas papers ever. It came from the Vintage Christmas line and is called Jolly!

I made flags out of a sheet called Holiday Treats. The lace half circle was cut from #5 and lightly stamped with ink.

The white lace flower I cut from #2 and the green clovers were cut from #6 and dyed green. The Christmas blooms completed that corner.

I added the "Home Sweet Home" chipboard plaque as well as the friends circle, both from the Homespun line. The alphabets, small trees and star came from my stash. I used teal paint to edge various items.

Thanks for taking a look!
Blessings, Bonnie

Christmas in July Gift Tags - by Vicky Alberto

I am sharing a few "Christmas in July" gift tags made with Blue Fern's Homespun collection.  This was a fun challenge to use an unrelated collection and turn it into a few festive looking oversized gift tags.

On the first tag, I used "Barb's Medallion" chipboard, painted it white and topped it with diamond dust glass - for a chilly look.  I then added a round adhesive shape from the Homespun collection and surrounded it with Blue Fern blooms... again adding diamond dust to the white flowers. The white ribbon is also from Blue Fern.

On the second tag I used some gorgeous Blue Fern white lace, white flowers and a coordinating Homespun adhesive shape.  The red ribbon is also from Blue Fern... so I dug into my stash to find a few red blooms to complement the papers and the pretty ribbon, to add contrast to the fantastic white flowers and beautiful lace.

Thanks as always for stopping by to take a peek today!
