Tea bag booklet

Hello and welcome to the Blue Fern Studios blog.
Today I'm sharing a little tea bag booklet I've made using the Bird Waltz collection.

I used tea filters which I tea died. I glued two filters/bags together, stacked them and
sewed in the middle to get a little book.
This book is 3 x 4,5 inches (7,5 x 10 cm) with 30 pages.

I decorated each page. I used the bird Waltz papers, ephemera, charms, stamps,
chipboards and laces.

I sewed paper clusters and made little pockets for tags and ephemera.
On some of the edges  I've added butterfly wings.

On this page I made a bellyband.

I have a flip through video of all the pages on my you tube channel;

Products used:

The Bird Waltz papers
The Bird Waltz ephemera
Dragonfly chipboard
Floral lace chipboard
Song Bird stamp
Bird Waltz Stamp
Radiant flower charm
Lace 15

Hi everyone!  I'm Gayle Agostinelli and I'm so honored to share my first design team project for Blue Fern Studios using the stunning Bird Waltz collection designed by Jen Bishop.  I've created a journal for writing

the Bird Waltz collection is the backdrop!

Flower seed pockets with Garden Life papers

Hello and happy Saturday. Do you have a family member or friend that loves gardening?
Today I'm sharing a fun little project that could be used as a gift to that person.
I made these three seed pockets.

The pockets are criss cross cards.
I used the Garden Life paper collection to make the pockets and inserts.
This collection is perfect for this occasion.

I also made 3 inserts, you can use these to write a little message on.
They have a little tab on the top.
There's still room left for the seed packets.

I embellished the front of the pockets with die cuts and
cut outs from the patterned papers.

Thanks for visiting the Blue Fern Studios blog.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Cirque Artisanal

Hello! I would like to share a layout that features the Remnants Collection, using the page called Vignette. I love this sheet because of the purple shades and white design overlay.

I started at the top with a mask chipboard painted red and used lace #3 to give the feeling of being "under the big top".

I used burnt copper glitter to dress up the eye mask, crown and edge of the "fun" calling card, all from the ATC Drama set.

I painted a chipboard arrow flourish copper and patina blue and finished the page with the whimsical button and flags!

Thank you for looking!
Blessings, Bonnie

Happy with my Bow Tie!

Today I am sharing a fall decoration I made with scraps of my Bird Waltz paper.

I used strips of the "Dragonfly Opus" sheet to cover the front and ends of my crate box. I added teal paint to the edges and stamped the ends with the "Country Garden" clear stamp.

I fussy cut the blue bird from the "Overture" page.

I stained the "Radiance" bloom with an orange ink and placed a coin button in the center.

I created a bow tie for the crazy pumpkin from more leftovers of the "Overture" page. What a wonderful little box to display my photo!

Thanks for looking!
Blessings,
Bonnie

Needlebooks with Attic Charm

Hello and welcome to the Blue Fern Studios blog.
I've made two cute needlebooks. They are super easy to make.
I found a tutorial on how to make one here.

I used two pieces of felt and the papers are from the Attic Charm collection.
The sewing images on the patterned papers are perfect for this project.

I sewed the papers to the felt using my sewing machine.
On the blue booklet I also added a piece of ribbon below the paper.

The inside of the needlebooks.

The word needles on the front of the books I made on my computer
using sewing themed fonts, like little stitches and crossstitches.

This little needlebook keeps my needles safe in place and
it also makes a cute gift for someone else.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Hello Layout - by Vicky Alberto

Sharing a layout today showcasing Blue Fern's Radiance collection which includes pretty papers, gorgeous chipboard, amazing lace and fantastic white flowers.  All I needed to do is add a doily from my stash.  The picture is a throwback to a little puppy abandoned from its mother at 7 weeks old (picture taken over 25 years ago!), that we ended up loving for almost 17 years before he passed away.

On the first close-up you can see that I cut a large ornate corner chipboard flourish to better suit my layout.  On the bigger portion I inked it dark yellow and then randomly glued some fabulous sunbeam powder on it.

On the smaller portion of the flourish above, and also the "hello" chipboard below, I used a mix of gesso and seafoam powder to give it a shabby chic look.

As always, thanks for stopping by to take a look at my project!
