Win or learn, never lose

Hello everyone!  Today we have another beautiful card from our August Blue Fern Fan of the month, Mariusz Gierszewski.  His style is so elegant.  With its rich tones, this card reminds me that autumn is not far away!

For this card, Mariusz used paper from our Happy Accident Collection.  The flowers and leaves are handmade using stamps.  The background paper was cut using a die, giving the card an interesting look, and adding texture.

Mariusz added a frame and title from the Happy Accident Printed Chipboard Shapes to the center of the card.

Be sure to stop back next Wednesday when we will have another project from Mariusz!

Summer Breeze by Tracy Funk

We still have one more layout from our July Blue Fern Fan of the Month to share with you.  I think Tracy just might have saved the best for last.  The colors she has used are absolutely beautiful! It has been our pleasure to share her layouts with you this month.   Each one of them is filled with inspiration and her use of Blue Fern products is amazing. Thanks so much, Tracy, for sharing your vintage look and creative style with us.

Here is Tracy to tell you all about her layout:

"Summer Breeze" is my final layout for Blue Fern Studios as their fan of the month for July.  It features a photo of  my husband's grandmother, Audrey.  I had a wonderful time working with Blue Fern Studios products this month.

For this layout I used papers from the Garden Life collection.  I used the back of the Calling Cards paper as the background and the back of the Flower Bed paper for the die-cuts.

I did some random stamping on the background with dark grey ink using the Tattered Newsprint stamp.

I used several pieces of Blue Fern Studios chipboard (Dangled Lace, Garden Daisies-small and Layering Stems).

I coated the Dangled Lace piece with matte medium, then applied white crackle paint. When that was dry, I brushed it with black artisan powder, wiping off the excess with a damp cloth and then rubbed it with a bit of orange ink.

I painted the Garden Daisies grey and then brushed watery white paint over the petals.  I glued a mixture of beads in the center of each flower.

I painted the Layering Stems green then applied white glue to the petals and heat-embossed them with orange embossing powder.

I also used some printed chipboard from Blue Fern Studios' Garden Life and Happy Accident collections.

I used some alphabet stamps with dark grey ink to put the name on the printed chipboard piece.

I used the white and peach-coloured Happy Roses and applied orange ink to the edges of the petals.

Garden Life - Flower Bed paper

Thank you again to Blue Fern Studios for giving me this opportunity to work with their beautiful products.

Happy Accident Collection feauring Bev Code

Hi Blue Fern Studios fans. I am using the amazing HAPPY ACCIDENT Collection on this page.

"Memories Captured"

Hi... Bev here today. As Fan of the Month at Blue Fern Studios I am thrilled to be able to create using layers of paper from the HAPPY ACCIDENT collection. I then stamped using WASHI STRIPS,  BLOOM and STEM stamps and many CHIPBOARDS. I finished it off with a cluster of SPRING FLORAL flowers and a piece of PRINTED CHIPBOARD. I am thrilled to be able to share with you the amazing products I used  on my project.

This Memories Captured page are photos of my eldest son's family along with a group family photo with everyone in it too.

For this page I used a background paper which I ripped and then slotted in another contrasting paper. I inked the edges for depth, texture and contrast.  From there I laid out my proposed chippies and photos to give me an idea where I could apply inked stamping of the bloom and stem flowers and washi strip..

The rings panel chippies were cut apart to fit and inked to match and coordinate with the main paper colours. I also inked the title chippies and some of the full circles to fill in some spot and to float a few freely on the page too.

In this section you can view the stamping, inked chippies and a fabulous cluster of flowers.

Close up view shows the amazing 3D flowers in stunning colours.

Friends by Bev Code

Hi Blue Fern Studios fans. I am using the amazing HAPPY ACCIDENT Collection on this page.

"Friends"

Hi... Bev here today. As Fan of the Month at Blue Fern Studios I am thrilled to be able to create using layers of paper from the HAPPY ACCIDENT collection. I then stamped using WASHI STRIPS &  BLOOM & STEM stamps, HAPPY ACCIDENT chipboards and some of the newest IMAGINE INK GLITTER added sparkle to the page. I finished it off with a small cluster of SPRING FLORAL flowers. I am thrilled to be able to share with you the amazing products I used them on my project.

This Friends page is my Grand Daughter and her little childhood friend.

I am sharing with you how I used the  Blue Fern Studios stamps inked on to the open spaces. One I  used the newest glitter which I applied onto the glued spots around the stamped image.

Tap off the excess glitter onto a piece of paper to collect it. You will want to save this for another project. Fold over the paper and slide the excess glitter back into the bottle for future projects.

Here is the  multi tone stamped image with the glitter applied around it.

Using the same process as above... scatter the glitter over the glued section on the chipboard. Turn sideways over the piece of paper to tap off excess. Save the excess glitter and put back into the container.

Here is the finished chipboard piece all coloured and glittered.

In this section I also added some amazing flowers from the Blue Fern Studios collections.

In this section I added more inked chipboard arrow words coloured with ink or copics. I stamped a border  in lower corner and also added a chipboard accent.
