March Layout Inspiration - Joanne Bain

Hi Everyone!!

Joanne here with you today to share 2 layouts, one with a tutorial. Both are created with the totally gorgeous In The Mood collection.

For my first layout I chose to pull the darker colour in the collection and give my main cluster a bit of a colour pop with vibrant red.

'Love'

To frame my photo I have used the outside hearts from the In The Mood chipboard sheet. To create the pens, I used the pen stamp from the Desk Set stamp set, this was then embossed with Ebony embossing powder.

The small lace flowers were cut from Lace 3B. All chipboard was also embossed with Ebony embossing powder.

The background was created by using a stencil with black gesso and the while nearly dry a sprinkling of Ruby Slippers glitter was applied.

To build up added interest to the cluster I added some of the cream flowers from the Chesterville florals set. I also added some natural cheesecloth to add extra texture and softness to the page.

For my next page I chose to use the softer tones in the collection. I simply do adore this collection it is just so pretty. For this layout I also thought I would do a little step by step tutorial so you may be able to create this one yourself.

'Perfect Moment'

The small Roman clock face was cut in half layered and embossed with the gorgeous Pixie Dust embossing powder. The top half of the clock also had dark chocolate and Ivory embossing powders added.

The small frame behind the photo was coloured with Green Ivory embossing powder. In the background of the page there is a sprinkling of Mauve and Gold Nugget seedlings.

For added interest in the cluster I added some fussy cut flowers cut from the Attracted patterned paper.

The main feature flower is one of the lighter pink flowers from the Moody Florals set. I removed the centre of the flower and added my own.

The title and the background flourish were both coloured with Dark Chocolate embossing powder.

Goodbye post from Video Educator Marta Lapkowska

Hello everyone,

It's Marta Lapkowska here. I am back to you with my last projects created for Blue Fern Studios.
I had such a great time being Video Educator for Blue Fern Studios. Wonderful products with great quality and original designs.
I will miss my team mates and all of you great followers.

I hope you will enjoy my two last layouts and grab some inspiration for yourself.

My first make is a mixed media based page. I love Autumn Anthology paper collection. It's beautiful, romantic and sophisticated!

I used mediums to add texture and colour to my background.

Another great way to add interest to your page is to stamp. Blue Fern has a wonderful selection of stamp sets.

As you can see I embossed my chipboards using white embossing powder.
You can follow whole creative process on my video tutorial. Enjoy !

My second project for today is clean and simple page.
I used paper from Autumn Anthology collection called 'Le Ballon'.

To add some interest to my background I added some splashes with sprays and stamping.

Chipboards were embossed with black embossing powder. I like the contrast created by adding black colour. Title 'Happy' stands out greatly.

I wish to thank for having me here!
It was my great plasure.

Hope to see you soon. Hugs, Marta Lapkowska xx

'Memories' by Marta Lapkowska

Hi everyone,

It's Marta Lapkowska here! Are you rady for some inspirations ?
I have made two layouts for today's post. Two different styles but two equally interesting projects.

First page is totally mixed media based layout.

I used brand new paper collection 'Autumn Anthology'. For some interest I added some white string across the page.

I have added some modelling paste through the stencil. Everythig was coloured with sprays.

As my final touch I added chipborad 'Clip Frames'.
You can follow the whole creative process on the video tutorial.
I hope you will enjoy it:

My second make is plain and clean.
As you can see this layout is flat and easy to store. Even tho I am a mixed media girl I like to make sometimes easy pages which could be challening for me. No art mediums ? Oh yes, just stunning papers and few wonderful chipboards!

I must say I love the papers from 'Frolic' collection. Bright, very colourful and beautiful!

I embossed all the chipboards with yellow embossing powder.

I love fussy-cutting :)

I wish you a very creative day !
Love, Marta xx
