Junuary Inspiration by Yuko

I'm Yuko Tanaka.
It's possible to be added to Blue Fern Studios design team this time.
It's honor very much!

When a picture of its wedding is being put in order in 2006.
I knew a scrap booking.
A picture is taken while enjoying child's growth after my daughter is born in 2012.
The meaning is found very much to leave it by the shape as the scrap booking.
3 years in 2014, 2015 and 2016
I experienced a design team of Blue Fern Studios.
And it was added to a team again in 2018 this year in a wonderful thing!
Of Blue Fern Studios, I'm elegant and like the chic and pretty atmosphere very much.
" The characteristic and the image the paper has, importantly.
In order to utilize good of the paper", I'd like to make a motto a work.
Thank you!

Meet our January Blue Fern Fan of the Month

Hello everyone.  We have moved our Fan of the Month feature post to Tuesdays this year, and we are excited to announce our first Fan of 2018 - Pam Ellis.  You are sure to love Pam's shabby chic style.  She has been a long time user of Blue Fern products and we can't wait to share her projects with you this month.  Now we will turn things over to Pam:

My name is Pam Ellis and I live in Gravenhurst, a small tourist town in Canada. I live with my hubby and dog Bruiser. I am a retired R.N. and also founded and ran a Family Violence Program in Toronto for 10 years.

I am a mother of 5 daughters and Grandma to 5  grandchildren. I started scrapping in 2007 after the birth of my first grandchild. My style is typically shabby chic but I am evolving everyday. I typically scrap subjects close to me like my grandchildren. I try not to use pictures I didn't take unless I have to. I love scrapbooking (have a small store in my house lol) , camping, reading and cross-stitching. I have been in love with Blue Fern Studios since it opened it's doors!! I am a forever fan! I am so thrilled to be here with you this month!

Sparkle by Vija

Okay blog readers, I hope you are ready for this.  Vija Anton, our Blue Fern Fan of the Month, has created a layout that is sweet, adorable, cuddly, cute, and any other charming words that you can think of.  No matter how frazzled you may be as you prepare for the holidays, this layout is sure to warm your heart just a little and bring a smile to your face.  She even decorated the little Christmas tree!

Here it is her layout and what Vija has to say about it:

I love doing layouts using pictures of dogs, mine or friends, and prefer to use regular collections rather than dog specific papers as I feel it gives me more scope to incorporate some mixed media techniques. This layout features a cute little Bichon Frise named Jewel, who belongs to my best friend on Instagram.

For the background, I used the Homespun paper as a frame and cut around the flower corner to slip the Vintage Christmas paper and die cuts in behind it. I also did a little bit of stencil work on this one to emphasise the lacy pattern on the patterned paper.

I used texture paste on the Snowflake frame and sprinkled it with seedlings and glitter and the title was finished with more glitter using Silver Bells embossing powder. The gorgeous lace helps soften the layout and adds some further texture. I also 'decorated' the Christmas tree with seedlings. This layout is all about 'SPARKLE'!!

The Blue Fern Products used were:

How Sweet it is to be Loved by You.

Hello Blue Fern Studios Fans!  Phyllis here to share my last layout for Fan of the Month. I created a layout using the Amber & Apricot collection.  So Gorgeous!  I love colors of fall.

First off I started with Amber & Apricot's Joyful paper and cut off the edges then did some distressing.  I added Amber & Apricot's Faded Blooms paper for my backing.  I love how the brownish tan and beautiful design looks behind Joyful paper.  I also distressed the edges.   I used Birdsong and tore around the birds and a portion of the paper for my design.  Then I used the other side of Birdsong for some contrast and tore some more paper.

I added texture paste through a stencil, and then added Blue Fern Studios Blood Orange embossing powder.  It was exactly what I was hoping for, just enough glitter and color.  I also used the Blue Fern Studios Crackle & Grunge Grid Stamps for more texture.

For layering I added Blue Fern Studios flowers and chipboard - Apricot Blooms, Wanderlust Lilies, Fern Leaves, Manchester Frame and Roman Clock chipboard pieces.  I added Blue Fern Studios embossing powders Avocado and Chili powder to the Manchester Frame, and then added some Blood Orange to it.  For the Roman Clock I used Blue Fern Studios Chili Powder.  I painted the Fern Leaves chipboard pieces with gold acrylic paint.  For the last part of creating my layout I added some Blue Fern Studios Twig & Mustard Seedlings.  For the title I used the Amber & Apricot Sticker Chipboard piece,  How Sweet it is to be Loved by you.

August inspiration by Vera Shelemekh

Hello Blue Fern Studios fans.
It's Vera Shelemekh here and I'm happy to share with you some fresh and bright summer inspiration.  I've made a botanic layout with Wanderlust paper and mixed two summer collections in a seaside layout. And for the dessert today are Happy accident chocolate boxes with lace and flowers.

The summer here in Moscow is a bit cold this year, but we had a couple of warm weeks to enjoy the Nature, to wonder with a butterfly net and breathe wonderful floral smells.
For this layout I used Wanderlust - Lakeside as background.

The photo is framed in a frame from Ever After Frame Set covered with avocado embossing powder.

I decorated the layout with many stamped flowers, Damask Flourishes chipboard covered with lime embossing powder, stamped bugs and butterflies and a sweet owl.

"Discover" is the header taken from Wanderlust Words set

I also used the octopus and sea stars from Nautical Set and framed the photo in Wanderlust - Printed Chipboard frame.

July inspiration by Annie Samson

Hi everyone,

I am verry excited to share my layouts with you this month.
For my first 2 layouts, I have used the new collection Wonderlust and the last one is made from Garden Life.

EXPLORE

To create my layout, I used the back side or the Petites paper.
I wanted to create a vintage layout about traveling made with an old family picture.
I used one stamp of the Travel time stamp kit and emboss-it with Pearl embossing powder direcly on the paper.
I used a part of Lace 5 under my picture to add dimention.
I used Avocado embossing powder on my Swallo boarder chipboard.
And I used some Vintage Jade glitter on my Explore title.
Than I had here and there chippies from the coordinated chipboard of Wanderlust collection.
To finish my layout, I haded some flowers from this collection.

Here some close-up to see details and dimention of my layout.

CHERISH

For my second layout, I choose to used the back side of the Mountain view paper.
This time, I wanted to create a more floral and nutural yellow layout.
The Wonderlust Vines were just perfect for this project.
To add texture and dimention to my project, I have used chipboards from the coordinated printed sheet.
I have also used the Circle flourish small chipboard embossing with 14 Karat embossing powder and some pieces of the Floral lattice bites painted in yellow with acrylic paint.
At the end I haded the word Cherish embosed with Wheat ebossing poweder.

Here some close-up to see details and dimention of my layout.

I CAN FLY

For my last layout this month, I wanted to create a layout realised with an outdour picture.
The Back side of the In bloom paper from Garden life collection was perfect for this picture.
I used Mushroom embossing powder on the Rock wall bites chipboard and Avocado embossing powder on the Blooming Foliage chipboard.
Chipies from the coordinate chipboard of Garden Life collection weres used to embellish my layout.
Of course I used some beautiful Blue Fern Studio flowers to decorate my layout.

Here some close-up to see details and dimention of my layout.
