I      I added structure to Shabby Layered Frame with modeling paste.
I stacked the thing which cut a cardboard thin on the top.

March Projects w/Erin Blegen

Hello :)

Erin Blegen here today to share my March projects with you. I always enjoy varying my projects each month, so today I have for you a layout, a card, and a tag...a little bit of something for everyone.

Let's get started :)

"Always"
The large panels available from Blue Fern Studios like this "Number Grid" one are so great for working with 12" x 12" layouts. I like to cut mine up and make them suit my design.

I painted the panel white before randomly dabbing it with embossing ink, sprinkling with Stampendous "Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel", and setting with a heat gun. I love the pretty pink and textured bits splattered throughout the chipboard to mimic my background.

"Different" Card

As like anyone who has ever used chipboard before, sometimes the raw look just suits the project best. Here I've used a few various pieces and have simply dabbed them randomly with a Prima white chalk edger pad before adding them to my project. Combined with some of the more subtle Blue Fern Studios papers, I created a neutral, monochromatic look which I love.

"Love" Tag
Sometimes downsizing a chipboard piece can give you exactly what you need for a particular project. Here I've taken the middle out of the "Helen's Doily" to beautifully accent this tag. Primed with gesso, covered with a Prima "Shabby Tote" chalk edger pad, and adorned with pearls :) The Blue Fern Garden "Picnic" paper was whitewashed with gesso to make it a little bit more subtle in order to achieve the look I was going for.

That's it for me! I hope you enjoyed :)

Blue Fern Garden with Camilla

I am so excited to show you my first layout and card using the brand new paper collection from Blue Fern Studios. And of course I have used some fabulous Blue Fern Studios chipboards as well.

For my layout I have used one of the papers as background. I have cut out a piece of another to use as layers behind the photos. The paper stripes are actually the pieces I have cut of from the papers I have used. The chipboards you see on the layout are also new. I have only painted them in white.

Here you see one of the Charmed Page Dangles.

And here you see one of the Beaded Strings.

This is the card I made using the papers.

It is the Jeweled Page Baubles and one of the Eclectic Hearts. I have painted them with white gesso, then smeared on some blue, stamped with black ink and finished with some glossy accents.

Make sure to check back to see some more inspiration from the design team.

{New Papers} with Patter

It's Patter here again with you. I am excited to share a card and the new Blue Fern Studios papers with you. I used the papers for two layouts. Both of the layouts are 8 1/2 x 11 and feature photos of our friend's baby that was born on Christmas Day. Let's start by looking at the gorgeous papers and fun chipboard pieces.

Adorable
Here is our friend's precious baby when he was 3 days old. I layered the In Bloom, Parlour, and Calling Cards papers for this 8 1/2 x 11 layout. I was able to use two of the words from the Calling Cards paper as tags on the layout.

The chipboard I used was a heart from the Eclectic Hearts set. I colored the heart with Prima Chalk Ink shabby tote and Distress crackle paint. The title is from the Good Vibes set. I painted it with a mix of modeling paste, Glimmer Mist artic blue, and Lindy's Stamp Gang bachelor button blue.

Love Always
And here is little baby at 6 days old. Here I used the Blue Fern Garden Parlour and Calling Cards papers. Again I used more tags from the Calling Cards paper and did lots of layering.

For the title, I used the Love Always chipboard piece. I painted it with layers of Tim Holtz Distress Paint tarnished brass, Viva crackle paint, and Inka Gold old silver. The layering of those three products gave the title a great look.

And Finally a Card
On this card I used the Circle Motif. I did not use a sentiment because I wanted the circle to be the focus.

I pulled up the layers of chipboard to create dimensional leaves on the Circle Motif. I then painted with Shimmerz Texturez gold mine.
