Fly with Bird Waltz

I am back to you today with another layout featuring the new Bird Waltz collection from Blue Fern Studios.
My beautiful GD Lilly a few years ago. These papers are thick and great to add mediums to. For my base I used Overture.
I did some stencil work on my page using Prima's Icing Paste in Gold. This is the first opportunity I've had to try out this paste and I have to admit that I love it and plan on buying the rest of the colors!
I used the Dragonfly Melody chipboard to frame my photo. I cut the chipboard as I often do and used Ginger, Fern and Wheat embossing powders to color it.
This collection has some beautiful graphics and I did some fussy cutting and popped up these elements with some 3D dots.
I used some miscellaneous flowers from Blue Fern (older collection) and added some turquoise seedlings to the petals.
For my title I used a piece from the matching Ephemera pack.

And that's a wrap for today.
All the best! :)

All you need is love

Hello, Henriëtte here today. I'm sharing an exploding box I've made with a love theme.

For this project I used up some of my scraps from different paper collections.

I decorated the outside of the box with lace roses which I colored a bit with red ink.
On the lid I used the printed chipboard pieces from the "In the Mood" collection.

For the centerpiece on the inside I cut a styrofoam ball in half,
colored it red with ink and glued lace around it.
Then I decorated it with an abundance of flowers.

I also placed a key charm with red ribbon in the middle.

Products used:

In the Mood
Heartland

Flowers:

Bits and Baubles ... and a Baby

Saturday greetings my friends, this new line called "Eclectic Charm" is so versatile! This project features muted colors and pure vintage joy! The background paper is cut from the page "Wisdom".

I decorated my Altoid mint tin with cuts from the calling cards, the Mercantile page and the Wisdom page. I stained some Blue Fern lace flowers pink and stained the chipboard fame blue.

My baubles include a clock charm, a tassel, a  luggage tag, title, old key and messenger bird all from the emphera pack, my favorite EVER! I added bits of lace from Blue Fern and dried flowers from my stash. Hope you enjoy it!

Blessings, Bonnie

Vintage Floral Card

Today we welcome our guest designer Tiffany Guenther! She has created a beautiful card using the new Eclectic Charm collection. I love all the fussy cutting and details she
incorporates into her projects.

She used the "Picturesque" paper for her base and cut out the floral images to use for accents.
Then added a distressed kraft layer and stamped using the "Scripted Medley" stamp set for depth.

Tiffany loves to make paper flowers! Check out these roses, she cut flower shapes from the left over "Picturesque" paper and created dimension using a shaping mold from Heartfelt Creations, mixing and matching her hand made flowers with other paper flowers

Cut out stamps from the "Calling Cards" paper  adorn the card for some finishing touches.

She used a lacy die cut from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps to give added texture to her project.
And of course no project is finished without some pretty ribbon!

Thank you for stopping by to see the lovely projects from our team.
and thanks to Tiffany for letting us share with all of you today!

Swan Song with Bird Waltz

Hello and welcome to the Blue Fern Blog. It is so good to be back today ( been having some complications from my operation) to share my layout with you.
This photo was taken outside my daughter's home. This pair of swans inhabit this lake and can be seen every morning like clock work. The colors in the photo were a perfect match for these gorgeous papers.
I did some backgrounds work with a stencil and molding paste. Added some Art Stones and mist. The flowers are from Blue Fern and 49 & Market.
I did a bit of fussy cutting and popped up the cut elements with foam dots.
One more picture.

Take Flight Layout - by Vicky Alberto

Gosh! Blue Fern's Bird Waltz collection is divine. Here is my "Take Flight" layout of when we left our house of 17 years & many memories. Loved this backyard!

Wow, just look at the gorgeous flowers, chipboard and heavenly paper! Due to the style of this layout, I kept the chipboard simple and only used some chalk ink on them. Close-up #1... includes take flight chipboard, dragonfly blossoms, summer blooms, bird waltz ephemera, and amazing paper layers.

Close-up #2... includes, oh so many pretty summer blooms and I chopped up some floral lace chipboard for the swirls around the flowers. More distressed paper layers!

Hope you like my layout!
