March Projects by Babi

Hi Everyone,

Today it's my turn to share with you my new projects with the gorgeous Spring Parade Collection.

I used the Susie's Parade paper for my  first project, called "Gratitude".

I covered the Classic Bunnies and Garden Lattice chipboards with Snow Embossing Powder.

And finished my project with some flowers that I "fussy cut" from Joyful paper. I also used Spring Florals and Late Winter flowers.

For my second project I decided to create a " Magical Garden" layout. My daughter loves fairies and magical creatures and I think this collection is perfect for these kind of layout.

I use the Remenbrance paper for the background.

Then, I embossed the Bordeaux Layered Frame and Winter Titles with a mix of embossing powders: Coral, It's a Girl and Oatmeal. I wanted the chipboard to blend with the main paper and have some contrast.

To create the garden I used dry moss, beads, resines, mini flowers and Spring Lillies flowers.

Chipboards:

My last two projects are two spring cards also using the Spring Parade Collection.

I used Susie's Garden (front and back) to create  my first card.

Then, fussy cut the bunnies from Spring Petites paper. The flowers are also  fussy cut from Joyful and Susie's Paper.

For my last card I used May Vignettes and June papers.
I embossed the Lace Rounds chipboard with Antique Gold Embossing Powder to create the center piece.

And for decorations I used stamp, flowers, leaves and a cute Bunny from Spring Petites paper.

A Spring Parade Layout by Kris Berc

Hello, everyone!  The beautiful new Spring Parade collection inspired me to create another Easter layout.  The colors in this collection are just so pretty! I hope you will consider getting some for yourself.

I chose the Spring Parade - Sunday Best paper for this layout.  I love the floral spray at the top and the cute little bunny on the bottom! To create my background, I used a few different colors of sprays, a stamp from the Forever stamp set, and the Tattered Harlequin stamp.

I embossed the Floral Clock and Cute chipboard pieces with Oatmeal embossing powder.  This color is wonderful!

I used several flowers to embellish my layout: Chesterville Blooms, Soft Blossoms, Spring Peony and Berries, Spring Florals, and a few others from my stash.

March Inspirations by Catherine Giguère

Hello Blue Fern Studios Fans! Here's my turn to share my March projects with you. This month, I had the chance to work with the brand new Spring Parade collection. I did two layouts with it. I love the pastel colors of it and I hope you'll like it too!

'Sparkles'

For this layout, I used 'Hushed' paper from the BFS Tranquility collection. I did a very textured background with stencil, modeling paste, BFS Serendipity Stamp, microbeads, beads and flakes.

I embossed my BFS chipboards 'Folkart Frame' and 'Classic Ornaments' with the BFS embossing powder 'Garnet'. I glued the 'Folkart Frame' on my picture and I cuted in halfs the 'Classic Ornaments' and put them under my picture to make dimension.

I embossed my title 'Sparkles' with BFS 'Nutmeg' embossing powder.

'Capture the Moment'

For my second layout, I used the paper 'Sunday Best' from the new BFS Spring Parade collection. I used modeling paste, stencil, yellow ink (it's my favorite color on aqua) and the BFS stamps 'Sentiments of love', 'Vintage Phrases' and 'Tattered Newsprint' to do my background.

I embossed the BFS chipboards 'Swirly Circle' and 'Ginger Poppies' with BFS 'Oatmeal' embossing powder.

I cut my chipboards 'Ginger Poppies' and put the pieces under my BFS flowers.

I embossed my title 'Capture the Moment' with BFS embossing powder 'Nutmeg' to make it stand out.

March Scrapbook Page Inspiration by Kris Berc

Hi, Blue Fern Studios friends and fans!  I have some scrapbook page inspiration for you today featuring the brand new beautiful Spring Parade collection.  If you didn't have spring fever before, just wait until you get a look at the pretty pastel colors and gorgeous patterns in this collection.  They are perfect for all of your Spring and Easter projects.

Brilliant

I chose the back side of the Spring Parade Susie's Garden paper as the base of this layout.  I covered it with clear gesso so that I could apply mixed media products.  Then I added 3 shades of pink and purple spray.  It is important to let each color layer dry before adding the next color, otherwise the colors will blend together.  Next, I applied modeling paste through a stencil.  Then I used the Tattered Newsprint stamp to add detail and contrast.

I chose the Spring Parade May Vignettes paper and used both sides of it under my photo.

I used the Blooming Flourishes chipboard set under my photo.  I embossed it with the new Lavender Eggs Imagine Ink embossing powder.  Isn't it pretty?!

I used Imagine Ink 14 Karat embossing powder on the title piece from the Brilliant, Amazing, Dazzling chipboard set.  I also sprinkled some gold beads here and there to coordinate with the gold title piece.

I dabbed the embellishments with a bit of heavy gesso to soften up the look.

and yes, I'm proud of my little girl for her academic accomplishment :)

Perfect

For my second layout, I could not resist the Spring Parade June paper!  This paper is so very pretty.  I love the lace print border, the sweet flowers and in the bottom left corner... the Easter egg.  I added just a bit of color to the focal point area of the paper with 3 shades of purple and pink spray.  I topped that with a thin layer of modeling paste through a stencil.

I used three layers of the Spring Parade May Vignettes paper to mat my photo.

The chipboard piece behind my photo is from the Circle Groups set.  There are 5 pieces in that set, so it can be used on several projects!  I embossed it with Imagine Ink Lavender Eggs embossing powder.  It's so sparkly in person!

I was inspired by the colorful Easter eggs in my photo to add several colors of flowers to the page.  I tucked in one of the new Fancy Eggs chipboard pieces which I heat embossed with Imagine Ink Cotton Candy embossing powder.

I also used the Cotton Candy embossing powder on my title piece, which is from the Perfect, Adorable, Special chipboard set.
