Using up scraps: gift card holders

Hi, after finishing a project I have a lot of paper scraps left and these gift card holders are a
nice way to use up the left over paper scraps.

I used paper scraps from one of my favorite Blue Fern Studios collections "Remnants".
I found the idea and a tutorial on how to make these card holders here.

I made two card holders with pockets for the gift cards and two tags
to write a message on.

I embellished the front with flowers, chipboard and cut outs from the Remnants collection.

Products used:

Remnants papers
Remnants adhesive shapes
Blue Fern Studio Flowers
Chipboard classic mini frame

Thanks for stopping by.

Family Ties

This scrapbooking page I really wanted to use a lot of natural elements and loved the bird on the Daybreak sheet.  I made the cute little bow by  painting some Blue Fern naked string blue and then tying it up.  I placed a lilac bloom at the top left from Easter Parade pack.

I inked this Blue Fern naked arch and placed it above the rod iron spire to give the illusion of an umbrella.

I painted a thin coat of Mod Podge onto these fussy cut branches, leaves, butterfly, and banners from Effervescence as a part of an eclectic wreath around my photo.

The heart chipboard came from Love Story. The doily and rub-ons were from my stash and I cut the verse out of a bible I use frequently in my scrapbooking.

Thanks for the peek!

Ephemera folio

Hello crafty friends, I created this ephemera folio combining two
Blue Fern Studio paper collections, attick charm and homespun.

The idea and a tutorial I found here on Gayle Agostinelli's You tube channel.
It's a great project and a nice way to store your ephemera pieces.

I had a few pretty papers left from different Blue Fern collections and
used these to make the booklet.
I decorated with some laces from my own stock.

Here are some more pictures of my folio.

I love how it turned out and how the papers coordinate together.
I have the booklet in use already to store in my ephemera's.

Papers used:

Attic Charm - Attic Key
Attic Charm -Attire
Attic Charm - Sachet
Attic Charm - Haberdashery
Home Spun - Crafty
Home Spun - Homemade

Thanks for visiting!
Have a great day.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Butterfly Kisses

I LOVE the new Radiance Collection!

This wall hanging is mounted on the Wanderlust "Pacific Coast" wood look paper. I layered "Effervescence" from the Radiance Collection over the wood look and used calling cards, emphera, ink, and even a pin wheel.

I cut one of "Valerie's Butterflies" in half and painted them with blue acrylic paint then attached them on each side of the photo. I also used a blue tulle bow to add height to the photo and framed it in with a Homespun chipboard frame.

The lace is number 14 and the fussy cut flower is from the "Effervescence" circle paper.

The die cut frames are from the "Tattered Walls" emphera pack, the butterfly kisses calling card is from the Radiance emphera pack and the little boy chip board is from the Wanderlust Collection.

I loved how this bird tucked in behind the butterflies and it came from the emphera pack.

Thanks for the peek!
Blessings, Bonnie

Treasure

Hey there! I am here today to share another Blue Fern layout with you.

Treasure is a layout I did using the Attic Charm Collection. This collection has beautiful pastel papers in it perfect for a wide variety of projects.
As you can see I did my familiar background using a stencil (used a damask as it matched the paper), molding paste, mist and some Seedlings in Lavendar.
I used flowers from the Courtship Rose and Fresh Floral Collections with a few add-ons from my stash.
More blooms with an added Prima heart. I painted the heart with the gorgeous Art Alchemy Sparks paint in Iris Potion. I also used some cheesecloth and some Art Stones for added texture.
I cut the chipboard phrase Treasure the Moment and saved the Moment piece for another project. The word Treasure pretty much sums up the essence of the photo.
That's it for me today. Stay tuned  as there will be some exciting news coming soon!

All the best! :)

Easel card with drawer box

Hello, Blue Fern Studios friends, DT Henriëtte here sharing this easel card
with drawer box.

There are many tutorials available on how to make such a project. I followed this photo tutorial.

To decorate the cardstock box and card I used the lovely Amber & Apricot  papers and
printed chipboards.

I embellished the easel card with yellow and orange flowers.
On the drawers I glued lace flowers and wooden beads.

It was a fun project to make and it will be a great gift to someone.

Products used:

Amber & Apricot papers and printed chipboards
Blue Fern Studios flowers
Lace no. 2

Thanks so much for stopping by the BFS blog.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Vintage Girl

If I were to use one word to describe myself it would be VINTAGE! I am drawn to everything old, unique, and charming so I am particularly drawn to the Attic Charm Collection. The soft colors, images, and floral touches all speak my language.

For the background I used the Generation paper, I love the wallpaper effect and the beautiful vintage clock.

To frame my photo I used a "fussy cut" chair from the Mercantile page of Attic Charm Collection.
I painted the lamp post (from the Lamp Post Chipboard pack) with teal, white, and copper acrylic paint then glued a paper circle to the back and filled it with Mod Podge Resin and yellow ink.

I cut small scraps of lace (Blue Fern Lace) and attached some Remnants Blooms. I added some Blue Fern Pearl Buttons with a stitch of yellow thread for a pop of color.

I used the green Ribbon from Easter Parade Collection and turned the title strip of an Attic Charm sheet into two little flags and inked the edges. The peach bloom came from the Floral Basic Package and I added some extra vintage glam by stamping the page with the London Chronicle Stamp in red ink.

The title for my page is "I Love Vintage" and I used the sheet "Crafty" from the Homespun Collection as the alphabet.

Thanks for the peek!
