Projects with Angelica

Hello everyone! I'm sharing today my final projects as a BFS design team member. It's been an amazing and fun year!  I'm so honored to have had the opportunity to design for such a wonderful company!

I made this layout using the Autumn Anthology collection.  I started with the Newsworthy paper as my background and layered then Penmanship on top.  I painted the Large Roman Clock, Damask Panel and Spring branch chipboard pieces with gesso. Then lightly misted with the Leaf mist.

For this layout I used the Frolic collection. Such pretty soft colors!  I did some layering with the Secretary paper. Then used some pieces of the Calling Cards and Dans de Jardin. Again, I painted the Floral Lattice Bits, Timeless Floral Corner, and Petite Windows with gesso. They sprayed using the leaf and Cotton Candy Mist.

So, I've used up all of the Vintage Christmas Papers that were sent to me! I decided to make a quick card using a scrap piece of the Wonderland paper.  This is my take on the sketch using the Gingerbread House Chipboard. I used a thick uneven coat of Heavy Gesso and sprinkled colored glitter glass while still wet.

Thanks for stopping by during this busy holiday season!

All Natural with Autumn Anthology- By Keren Tamir

Hi Everyone
Its Keren here on the Blue Fern Studios Blog featuring the Autumn Anthology collection again.

"All Natural"

For this first layout I used the Gazebo paper which features a beautiful Gazebo across the right side. I used it to surround the chipboard frame around the photo.

I used the chipboard shrine frame around the photo. I primed it with white gesso and then sprayed it with the Blue Fern Studio Leaf spray and mixed it with another yellow coloured spray. Then I stamped on it with the brick stamp from the essential textures set.

I added flowers, butterflies and also used the brick stamp around the page to add to the garden feel of the layout.

"Cute Smile"

For this layout I used the Autumn Anthology Balcony paper.
I smeared some white gesso on the background and then sprayed all three Blue Fern Studios sprays for this collection: Leaf, Persimmon and Sky.
Then I stamped the sprayed area with one of the Weathered Doilies from the stamp set.

I framed the photo in the smile clip frame from the set. Then I used the Paisley and Vine medley chipboard and the Cute title word to embellish. All chipboard pieces where inked with both Leaf and Persimmon sprays.

Thank you so much for visiting the Blue Fern Studios blog

Have a wonderful day!!!

Two more layouts by Wilma with the beautiful Autumn Anthology collection .

For my first layout we have to go back in time ........ 40 years !
I used the original picture of young me, I become vintage :)
The background paper is one of the Autumn Anthology collection, Gazebo
To create more interest I use the circuitry chipboard as my mask.
I had to spray it anyway with gesso for another layout.
So now I had a white chipboard piece and textured background at the same time.

Behind the picture I used the Wild Flourish frame .
And one bird from the Little Birds set.
All I did was adding some thin gelmedium to keep the original natural chipboard color.

I cut a few paper flowers from another paper out of the collection.
Glued it behind my flower.

My next layout , also made with the Autumn Anthology collection.
The picture is about 25 years old, bad quality .
But thats what we had than....and we should just use them on our layouts.

For the background paper I used the Parfumerie paper.
I toned down with gesso, leaving out some of the beautiful background pattern.
I pushed  a embossingfolder in the wet gesso to get the checkered texture.
Than I colored the background with 3 of the new mists:

The chipboard ( checker bits ) was inked up with a chipboard kind of color .
Than I embossed here and there with one of the new embossingpowders : petal
To tone down,  again some mixed media ink.

New are the glitters and embossingpowders at Blue fern Studios.
Just when I was finishing this layout my package arrived !
So I added some on my flower.
A little glitter never hurts :)
I used the Pyrite , a beautiful goldtone.

Thank you for visiting the Blue Fern Studios blog.
Have a great week

Autumn Anthology Layouts with Angelica

Happy Saturday, friends! I was so excited to get the new paper collection, Autumn Anthology. They're designed beautifully! I created three layouts that I'm going to share with you today.

Purple is my favorite color and I love it paired with a soft green! I used the Gazebo paper as my background. But behind that I used Parfumerie as an added layer. Before I got started I used BFS new mist, Leaf, in the center. I love the mist....has great coverage and is light.

I used both Quatrefoil Garden Panels. I painted them with gesso then used some stucco paste for texture. For a bit added color as I used a light coat of the green mist.

I painted the blossom branches and lightly tinted them with the mist.

I have never scrapped this color combo before(well as least not that I can remember) but I have to say the blue and peach are just gorgeous!!! This is my take on the September Sketch. I used the La Ballon paper as my background and Mercantile as a mat. On the background I did some light brushing with gesso then used the Sky Mist and Persimmon Mist as splats. I randomly did some stamping with the Essential Texture Stamp.

I used the Layering Stems and Organic Vines as my foliage. This time used about three coats of the Leaf Mist to get full coverage.

I used pieces of the Screen Panel as a bottom layer.

The Parfumerie Paper is so pretty! I used it for my background and Penmanship for a mat. I used the bricks stamp for the Essential Texture set.

I used both the Iron Work Edges. I painted them with gesso, Lightly misted with brown, then used Stucco paste. Once dried I rubbed some distress ink on the raised parts of the stucco.
I did the same for the Floral Lattice Bits.

 Thanks for taking a peek!
