Vintage Christmas inspiration by Marie-Eve Bernard

Hello,

It's my last post here.  The years flies so fast.  I was thrilled to be on such a wonderful Desing Team: a dream came true!  I enjoy every moment of it!  So, I wanted to inspired you a last time with the wonderful Vintage Christmas Collections.  I love Christmas and it's magic.  I add a lost of pleasure to work with those two absolutely gorgeous Christmas collections.

It's a Holly Jolly Christmas:

I use the Let it snow paper for my background.  I had laces between the layers of papers for a Vintage look. Just add a little bit of green watercolor to makes the layers pop.

For the frame, I first paint it green.  Then, I add glue to the berries and add the Fire engine glitters.  I did the same with the bow but with the Caribbean glitters.

I simply embossed my title chipboard with the clover embossing powder.  The color is just perfect!

Noel:

On this second layout, I wanted a snow effect on my chipboards.  I first cover them with white gesso. Then I add snow effect texture paste and glass bead gel.

I use the Greeting cards paper and cut the merry christmas and the tree image.  I add snow effect to my paper too.  The Christmas blooms were the perfect addition to the layout. I add snow on the flowers.

Sparkle:

My last layout is not with the traditional christmas palette of colours  but I love the soft feel of it.
I use the Holiday card twice.  One for my background and the other, I cut out some of the cards.

The soft blooms were perfect for this layout.  I just add them some snow effect.

My title was emboss twice:  First in pearl then in It's a girl.  It came from the Winter titles chipboard set.

All my snow flakes were painted with a clear iridescent ink.  I enjoy the result.  It just add a discrete shinning effect.

Three Christmas Layouts with Karine

Hi there,

It's Karine here today to share with you three Christmas layouts!

I must admit I'm not a big fan of Christmas scrapbooking, but when I recieved my last Blue Fern Studios package, I was thrilled! Both Vintage Christmas and Vintage Christmas 2 collections are simply wonderful! So let's start with my first layout.

Twinkle

I started out with the Deck The Halls paper from Vintage Christmas. I wanted to go with a traditional color combo with this one, and the red in the paper immediately spoke to me. I also used some of the cards from the Greeting Cards paper, also from Vintage Christmas, to layer under my photo.

I used the beautiful Tree Toys chipboards on my layout. I embossed it with Imagine Ink Lime embossing powder. While the powder was still hot, I sprinkled some Imagine Ink Vintage Gold glitter. I love the beautiful effect it gave.

To embellish around my photo, I used the beautiful Attic Charm Glitter Roses, as they come with beautiful gold glitter and the colors matched perfectly my layout. I also used two Harvest Lilies.

Finally, my title piece comes from the Winter Titles set. I treated it the same way as the other chipboards.

Magical

My second layout is called Magical. For this one, I wanted a more elegant look, so I choose the Wonderland paper, from Vintage Christmas. I aslo used a piece of the Calling Cards paper from Vintage Christmas 2 to layer underneath my photo.

I treated my background with golden brown ink. I used the Forever stamps set to add a little bit of interest to the background.

I used the Winter Flakes chipboards on my layout. I covered them with silver embossing powder.

My title piece comes from the Winter Titles set. I covered it with ginger Imagine Ink embossing powder.

Sparkle

I went a bit over the top with my last layout. I started with the Let it Snow paper from the Vintage Christmas 2 collection. I layered pieces of the 'Twas the Night and Calling Cards papers, also from the Vintage Christmas 2 collection.

My layout is built around the beautiful Bubbles and Bows chipboard. I treated it with an embossing powder containing some green and gold flakes.

All through my flower cluster, I used the Berry Stems chipboards. They were covered with Imagine Ink Sea Mist embossing powder.

Look at this beautiful Santa image! Isn't it lovely?

Amongst all flowers, I used one of the Christmas Blooms. You can see it in the picture above.

My title piece, part of the Winter Titles set again, is covered with Imagine Ink Ginger embossing powder and while the powder was still hot, I sprinkled some Imagine Ink Vintage Gold glitter.

I hope my layouts help you catch a little bit of Christmas spirit.

Vintage Christmas Inspiration From Debbie

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with you today.  The month has flown by and I've been busy preparing for Christmas. Still lots to do but somehow it always comes together.   Today I have 3 layouts I created with the Vintage Christmas paper collection.

My first layout features Magical, Deck The Halls, Noel and Greeting Cards papers,  perfect to highlight an old Polaroid picture of my daughter. Lots of layering and fussy cutting.

I used the two pieces of the Paisley and Vine Flower Chipboard which I embossed with the Imagine Ink Poinsettia Embossing Powder.  Love the red and gold in the powder!

On the side of my photo I used the Jasmine Pendant chipboard, again embossed with the Poinsettia embossing powder.

My second layout features the Noel and Greeting Cards papers.

I used a mixture of 2 embossing powders, Petal and Poinsettia on the Classic Corner and Symphony Border chipboard.  I applied some masking on the background and sprinkled the medium with the Phoenix Glitter.

The title Noel is from Winter Titles, again embossed with a mixture of  Petal and Poinsettia embossing powders.  I lightly misted a doily with some Imagine Ink Persimmon Mist.

My final layout was created using the December sketch with the Wonderland, Greeting Cards and Noel papers.  I did some masking on the background paper and randomly added some Pyrite Glitter and splatters of the Persimmon and Jingle Bells Imagine Ink Mists.

I embossed Joy from Word Ornaments with the Poinsettia embossing powder.

Here I placed the Snow Medley chipboard under my photo.  I painted the chipboard with some white gesso and applied some gold micro beads.

Tucked beneath my layers is the Damask Flourish covered in Pyrite glitter.

I hope you have enjoyed my layouts.  Don't forget that you still have time to enter our December Sketch Challenge.  You can find all of the details here.

Thanks for stopping by!

December Inspiration with Melinda Thompson

Hello my crafty friends :)

This is my final projects for Blue Fern Studios.  My 12 month term finishes at the end of December and I can't believe how quick that 12 months went!

With my last 2 projects I used the new Vintage Christmas paper range. Its a beautiful paper range with such a range of colours to choose.

In my first project I was inspired by the gorgeous pinks, reds and aqua's. Such a pretty combination.

"Merry Christmas"

Lots of paper strips and fussy cutting...oh what fun! Chipboard pieces have been lightly painted in Gesso first and then covered with mists, inks and glitter :)

Paper: Vintage Christmas
Chipboard: Holiday Frame, Holly Sprigs, Word Ornaments

My second project is full of glitter and shine! I have used the new Imagine Ink Glitter range - Carribean and Pyrite on my chipboard pieces and a sprinkle here and there in my paper. I was truly shining after this project!!! :):)

"Magical"

Paper: Vintage Christmas
Chipboard:  Winter Village, Winter Titles, Winter Page Dangles, Christmas Ornaments, Beaded Strings

Lots of Blue Fern Studios goodness with Bente.

Hi there friends of Blue Fern Studios.
I am so happy you came to see what I have prepared for you this time :-) Winter is now definitely upon us and what more perfect collection to use for those crisp winter photos than the beautiful Vintage Christmas.

My first page showcases a couple of older photos of my youngest daughter as I wanted to scrap pictures with snow .This year it hasn't snowed yet :-) Sorry the pictures are not great. It's pretty dark up here in the Nordic countries at the moment :-)

I used the Holiday Vine chipboard and the title Sparkle is from the Winter Titles set.

Here are a couple of close ups:

I used the Petal embossing powder as well as the Pyrite glitter to embellish my page.

My next project is an alterd frame. It was so much fun to make.

I painted one of the  words from the Delight set and also one of the Vintage Labels.
The perforated arrow is from the Directions set. The paper collection is Autumn Anthology.

To top off this creation I used the beautiful Ornate Shelf as something similar to a roof.

This next layout you may recognize as it was part of this months sketch reveal  HERE.

Even here I used Vintage Christmas. The French Ironwork-chipboard behind my photos is such a stunning piece! This time I painted it gold and used one of the Blue Fern Studios Texture stamps
 to emboss it.

I used a mixture of hnd made and bought flowers.
Of course I used the Vintage Christmas papers even for the flowers! :-)

And then my last  page for today, also with the latest collection and some more fabulous chipboard!

I used the Chain link panel ,just lightly covered in gesso and the Framed Winter Words with some added glitter. Here is a closer look at some details :

Again I used a mixture of store bought and handmade flowers using the beautiful red Deck the Halls sheet

I love the look of the chipboard panel peeking out from behind the beautiful paper :-)

That was all for today, well done if you made it all the way to the end!!

I wish you all a wonderful wek end. I knowI am really looking forward to some free time!
Thanks for looking!!
