Vintage Christmas Inspiration From Debbie

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with you today.  The month has flown by and I've been busy preparing for Christmas. Still lots to do but somehow it always comes together.   Today I have 3 layouts I created with the Vintage Christmas paper collection.

My first layout features Magical, Deck The Halls, Noel and Greeting Cards papers,  perfect to highlight an old Polaroid picture of my daughter. Lots of layering and fussy cutting.

I used the two pieces of the Paisley and Vine Flower Chipboard which I embossed with the Imagine Ink Poinsettia Embossing Powder.  Love the red and gold in the powder!

On the side of my photo I used the Jasmine Pendant chipboard, again embossed with the Poinsettia embossing powder.

My second layout features the Noel and Greeting Cards papers.

I used a mixture of 2 embossing powders, Petal and Poinsettia on the Classic Corner and Symphony Border chipboard.  I applied some masking on the background and sprinkled the medium with the Phoenix Glitter.

The title Noel is from Winter Titles, again embossed with a mixture of  Petal and Poinsettia embossing powders.  I lightly misted a doily with some Imagine Ink Persimmon Mist.

My final layout was created using the December sketch with the Wonderland, Greeting Cards and Noel papers.  I did some masking on the background paper and randomly added some Pyrite Glitter and splatters of the Persimmon and Jingle Bells Imagine Ink Mists.

I embossed Joy from Word Ornaments with the Poinsettia embossing powder.

Here I placed the Snow Medley chipboard under my photo.  I painted the chipboard with some white gesso and applied some gold micro beads.

Tucked beneath my layers is the Damask Flourish covered in Pyrite glitter.

I hope you have enjoyed my layouts.  Don't forget that you still have time to enter our December Sketch Challenge.  You can find all of the details here.

Three Layouts Featuring Autumn Anthology and Frolic

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with you today sharing 3 layouts I created.  My first two layouts feature the
new paper collection Autumn Anthology!  Absolutely love this new collection!  The colors and details
in the paper are beautiful!

I thought the new Autumn Anthology collection worked well with some old treasured family photos.
I love this old photo of my grandparents, my mom and her siblings.  I used Newsworthy, Mercantile, Gazebo and Calling Cards papers.  Lots of layering behind my photo and some fussy cutting.

I used one of the new Blue Fern Studios Imagine Ink Mica Color Mists, Sky on my chipboard title and then stamped it with the new Essential Textures stamps.

Tucked beneath layers of papers I used the Roman Clock chipboard.

Here I've used the new French Ironwork chipboard piece which I left untreated and use the new Persimmon mist.  Leaving the chipboard raw brought out a darker color in the mist.

I also used the new Leaf mist on a mini flourish chipboard piece.

On my next layout I used Calling Cards and Cottage papers from the Autumn Anthology paper collection. Here I've used another treasured family photo of my mom and her brother.
I did some masking on the background and misted with the Persimmon mist.
Here you can see when sprayed on a light background the color is much brighter.

The new chipboard piece, An Autumn Story was covered with acrylic glaze and given a light misting with the Persimmon mist.  I used a Garden Daisy chipboard which I misted with the Sky mist and cut apart to use in two different places on my layout.

The Garden Lattice Bits Chipboard was covered with an acrylic glaze.  Tucked into my flower cluster is the other piece of the Garden Daisy chipboard.

I used a piece of the Symphony border chipboard here in my flower cluster.

My final layout was created using the Frolic collection and was based off of the September sketch.
I used several papers on this layout, Amoroso, Friendship, Mercantile, Dan Le Jardin, Allegro, Secretary Calling Cards ,and Petits Moments, mostly for layering behind my photo

I took the Tea Medley chipboard piece and cut it in half, using it on both sides of my picture.  I primed it with gesso and embossed it with pink embossing powder.

Tucked within my flower clusters of piece of the Floral Medley Frame with I randomly sprinkled with pink embossing powder.

At the top of my layout I used the Jasmine Floral Pendant which I embossed with light pink embossing powder.

I hope you have enjoyed my layouts.  Don't forget that you still have time to enter our September Sketch Challenge.  You can find all of the details here.

Two layouts with the Love Story collection by Marie-Josée

Hello all!

I am happy to be back today to share two layouts made with the latest Blue Fern Studios paper collection, Love Story, as well as my sketch layout. Here they are!

"Famille" layout

For this layout, I used white cardstock as a base. Then, I tore the Grand Ball paper from the Love Story collection in two and used each side on my layout. I also added a piece of the Concerto paper at the top.

Here's a little trick: on this layout, I used two different chipboard that I cut in half.

Here's the Britannia Flourish (above and under my picture):

The title, Famille, is from the French Words set:

And here is the Wild Flourish Bundle (on the left and right sides of my picture):

"Love Story" layout

Here's my second layout with the Love Story collection. I used the Twenty One paper for my background. As you can see, I used the "Love Story" words from the strip of paper we always cut and toss to create my title.

To frame my picture, I used a piece of the Lace Rounds set. Under it is the Symphony border. Both were altered with black spray ink

I cut a small piece of the Symphony border to put on the left side of my layout.

Sketch layout

And finally, here's the layout I created for the sketch challenge back at the beginning of February.

I used a paper from the Ombre Dreams collection to create my background, the Ginger's Dream paper.

Then, under my picture, I added the Boston Lattice chipboard. I altered it with gesso.

Then, on the left, I used the Fancy Signage chipboard, also altered with gesso, and on top, the word Amour from the French Words set.

Three cards by Evgenia

Hello dear friends! its Evgenia Petzer with you today and I made three cards for you, all of them use Ombre Dreams collection and all of them have something in common, i like to make series of cards and hope that you will get inspired as well.

The first one uses Brigitte Butterfly Set, i coloured them with gesso first and then applied silks paint on it. I think its my favorite out of these three.

All the sentiments on all three cards are alss from Ombre dreams papers, the second card uses: Symphony Border, Petite Windows.
The chipboard is colored with pearl paint by Martha Stewart. I reaaly like that apple shape for the cards.

and the last one for today, I love that Symphony border chipboard and i often cut it in smaller pieces.
Blue Fern Studios cipboard used: Symphony Border, Petite Windows

and the last photo of all of them together.

Have a great week everyone!
