Everything is quite easy, but the result is quite impressive!
New Blue Fern Glitter is just wonderful! I glued it with Sticky Embossing Powder. This is one of the most convenient ways to me. You need to try it out, if yo haven't done so yet.
The clip helps to swap the months. I like it when home decor is not only pleasing to the eye, but also useful!

Three Layouts Featuring Autumn Anthology and Frolic

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with you today sharing 3 layouts I created.  My first two layouts feature the
new paper collection Autumn Anthology!  Absolutely love this new collection!  The colors and details
in the paper are beautiful!

I thought the new Autumn Anthology collection worked well with some old treasured family photos.
I love this old photo of my grandparents, my mom and her siblings.  I used Newsworthy, Mercantile, Gazebo and Calling Cards papers.  Lots of layering behind my photo and some fussy cutting.

I used one of the new Blue Fern Studios Imagine Ink Mica Color Mists, Sky on my chipboard title and then stamped it with the new Essential Textures stamps.

Tucked beneath layers of papers I used the Roman Clock chipboard.

Here I've used the new French Ironwork chipboard piece which I left untreated and use the new Persimmon mist.  Leaving the chipboard raw brought out a darker color in the mist.

I also used the new Leaf mist on a mini flourish chipboard piece.

On my next layout I used Calling Cards and Cottage papers from the Autumn Anthology paper collection. Here I've used another treasured family photo of my mom and her brother.
I did some masking on the background and misted with the Persimmon mist.
Here you can see when sprayed on a light background the color is much brighter.

The new chipboard piece, An Autumn Story was covered with acrylic glaze and given a light misting with the Persimmon mist.  I used a Garden Daisy chipboard which I misted with the Sky mist and cut apart to use in two different places on my layout.

The Garden Lattice Bits Chipboard was covered with an acrylic glaze.  Tucked into my flower cluster is the other piece of the Garden Daisy chipboard.

I used a piece of the Symphony border chipboard here in my flower cluster.

My final layout was created using the Frolic collection and was based off of the September sketch.
I used several papers on this layout, Amoroso, Friendship, Mercantile, Dan Le Jardin, Allegro, Secretary Calling Cards ,and Petits Moments, mostly for layering behind my photo

I took the Tea Medley chipboard piece and cut it in half, using it on both sides of my picture.  I primed it with gesso and embossed it with pink embossing powder.

Tucked within my flower clusters of piece of the Floral Medley Frame with I randomly sprinkled with pink embossing powder.

At the top of my layout I used the Jasmine Floral Pendant which I embossed with light pink embossing powder.

I hope you have enjoyed my layouts.  Don't forget that you still have time to enter our September Sketch Challenge.  You can find all of the details here.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi everyone! Marilyn here excited to share with you my first design team creations and video tutorial for Blue Fern Studios
A little about me:
My name is Marilyn Rivera and I'm from Puerto Rico but I'm living in North Carolina with my lovely family now.  I have two wonderful teenagers and a very supportive husband.  I'm a Fashion Designer although the last 18 months I'm a SAHM.  I've been scrapbooking for 8 years and nowadays is become more than a hobby, I've been giving the opportunity to travel and give workshops. I love to share my knowledge and techniques in my classes and in my video tutorials.

You can see my work in my blog HERE and my videos tutorial in my YouTube channel HERE.

"MEMORIES"
My first project is a layout with this special 25 years old picture when hubby and I were newlyweds.
I worked with the gorgeous new collection Frolic and I chose the Petits Moments and Amoroso papers.
I create the background design using the Ring panel and you will see all the creative process in my video tutorial.
I placed the 'Butterflies Friends' chipboard around my photo and cut out these butterflies from the Dans Le Jardin paper from the Frolic collection.

My title is the  'Memories' word chipboard that I painted in different tones, don't miss  the video tutorial.

I added glass beads and pearl in the rings of the chipboard to create dimension.

Supplies:
Frolic Collection:  Dans Le Jardin, Mercantile, Amoroso
Blue Fern Chipboards: Ring panel, Butterflies Friends, Memories word

Here is the video tutorial, I hope it inspired you...Enjoy it!

"A Special Day"

My second page is about my daughter's birthday seven years ago.  I worked with the "Mercantile" paper from the Frolic collection.  I embossed the clock from the "Roman Clock Set"-small  and my title the word "Special".
I placed the beautiful clocks around my photo and between my flower cluster.

I painted with gelatos the "Blooming Foliage",  then I covered the leaves with gel medium and green micro beads.

April Projects by Angelica Franssen

Hello all! Today I'm here to share my April project with you. I made three layouts using the gorgeous new collection Deja Vu. The papers are designed beautifully and the colors are so sweet! I really love the soft tones of the purple, yellows, and green.

My first layout is based on April's sketch. I used the Friperies paper as  my background and used Tresors as my accents layers. The title "memories" is from the Petites Cartes papers.

For the chipboard pieces  I used Boston Lattice and Mesh Bits. I first painted with gesso and sprinkled lightly some cleat UTEE. Heated until the UTEE is melted then sprayed with mist.
I also used on of the new pieces that coordinate with the Deja Vu Collection. This one here is a piece from the Deja Vu Dangle set.

For this page I used the La Plume paper as my background. Then tearing and layering on top I used the Un Voyage A Paris paper. I took a piece of the Luminaires paper to run down my page.

I used gesso and  paint on the Chelsea Vines. Then sprinkles some colored glitter glass on the tip of the leaves.
For the title I used the word Delight from the Delight Set.
This lovely lamp post is also new to coordinate with the Deja Vu Collection. This one is called Luminaires. It comes in a set of two and I used the larger on a previous layout I made.

The soft green color in the papers is one of my favorite shades of green. I used the Atelier paper as my background then layered  Tresors. I fussy cut some images from the Friperies and Petites Cartes papers.

This is another piece from the Deja Vu Dangle Set. I painted with gesso, misted, and lightly dabbed some distress glitter to finish the piece.
Here I used the Small Roman Clock. I used the same dressing as above.
Thank you for taking the time! I hope I've inspire you to get the Deja Vu collection. It's one that you should have in your stash! :)

April Projects by Melinda Thompson

Hi everyone :)

I have two new projects to share with you today using lots of gorgeous Blue Fern Studios products.
For my 1st layout I have chosen to use some Ombre Dreams papers...so so gorgeous! I have used Charlotte's Dream as the background paper with the Calling Cards as my layers.

"Baby Blues"

I have used the Roman Clock Set - Small and teamed it up with the gorgeous Tattered Butterlies and the word Baby from the Baby Words Set.

I have used lots of mists and inks to blend and tone my chipboard peices in to the colours of my photo and papers.

Products Used:
Paper: Omber Dreams - Charlotte's Dreams & Calling Cards
Chipboard: Roman Clock Set - Small, Tattered Butterflies, Baby

My 2nd project I decided to start with a plain white sheet of cardstock as I wanted to use the Number Grid - Large to be the focus of my layout.

"Smile"

Paper layers behind the photo are from the Sanctuary Collection.  I love that saying that is found on one of the Calling Cards.

I love these peices of chipboard from the Picture Perfect Collection..they are perfect for a fun layout.  I have again used many mists and inks with water to push the colour around on the chipboard.

Products Used:
Paper: Sanctuary Collection
Chipboard: Number Grid - Large, Smile, Picture Perfect, Negatives from the Jumbo Rings Panel

Hope you enjoyed my projects...
See you next month and happy scrapping!
Melinda :)
