Layouts by Kristine Henanger

Hi everyone!
My name is Kristine Henanger, and I am so happy to be a part of
the Blue Fern Studios Design Team! It is such an honor!
A brief introduction: I am a 23 years old singel mom, to my 3 years old son! <3
I have been scrapbooking since 2007, but when I got pregnant in 2009,
it just took of, and I have been addicted to scrapbooking ever since! lol!
I love to create layouts, cards tags, art journals, canvas, boxes, etc.
But
my biggest passion is creating layouts of my son!
Today I am going to show you all, my first two Blue Fern Studios layouts ever!
Here we go:

Dreams Come True

On this layout I have used following chipboard pices from Blue Fern Studios.
All the chipboard pices are painted with dabbers:

Three projects with Irina Gerschuk

Hi ladies!
It's Irina with you today and I'm really excited to share my new projects!
My first project is a LO "Blooming Beauty" about my little sister. It tells a short "family story" about our walk in the woods one hot summer day:
And let me show you some close-ups:
I covered the title "Blooming Beauty" with two different colors of paints then added a layer of crackle accent and after all covered it spontaneously with microbeads:
Here is one more closer look at the title, and under the rose is a piece from the Ornate Medallions set:
Well, here are three different pieces of BFS: Symphony border (also painted with different colors and than added microbeads), Evening Lamp Post (I covered it with white embossing powder) and parts from the Garden Window (again painted with different paints and after it added a layer of glance lacquer):
The same window but from the other angle (just want to show you all the painting and volume here))):
And here are the pieces of BFS that I've used in the LO:

My next project is a birthday card. I used the Calligraphic Border and Damask Flourish in it:
Some close-ups:
The Damask Flourish I covered with two different kinds of paints (choosing colors that match the palette of the card) and than added a thick layer of crackle accent:
I added a flower composition on top of it to achieve more volume and details here:
And here is one of my favorite pieces of BFS - the Calligraphic Border. As to me it's stylish, elegant and so universal that can match almost very work))) I covered it with white embossing powder:
And here are the pieces I've used:
Damask Flourish (Model: 074868):

Calligraphic Border (Model: 074363):

My last project for today is a soft handmade notebook made from stitch:
I've used a piece from the Double-Dutch Flourish Set here:
Covered the chipboard with lavender paint and than with white crackle paint:

And here is the BFS piece by itself:

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by!

Making Chipboard the Project Focus~!

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Blue Fern Studios blog! Erin Blegen here with you today to show you how to take your favorite chipboard pieces and make them the shining star on your projects. I've got three different examples for you, featuring three different types of projects- all of varying sizes- so you can see how easily you can incorporate our amazing products into whatever you love doing best!

"The Wait is Long"
First up we have an 8"x10" canvas. My inspiration for this piece was the Grand Balloon. And paired with this sweet photo of my son as he patiently awaited a deer to his "stand", I found my match! It was perfect for putting together this whimsical scene and truly does take center stage on my canvas.

For the stars, I used the centers of the Ornate Medallions.

Vintage Locks 074783

Ornate Medallions (centers) 074462

"Pixie Tag"
Next we have a smaller piece, a tag. And taking center stage we have one of the Regal Ornaments and Vintage Keys, inked and layered to create a wonderful centerpiece for this feminine project.

I just love the dimension! And so simple to create coordinating pieces with a coverage of chalk inks.

"Forever" Card
Finally, I have a "dressed up" card for you! I knew that the Charlotte's Dress Set would be perfect for a wedding card, though I hadn't exactly intended for it to be a Bohemian-style wedding- but that is just the way it goes sometimes, isn't it? :)

I used plenty of fabric, trims, wire, pearls, liquid pearls, and microbeads to bring this dress to life. What would you do with yours??

Thank-you for the visit today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Spring Colours from Camilla

Hi everybody! Camilla here with some new Blue Fern Studios projects.

For this layout I used the gorgeous Garden Gate chipboard from Blue Fern Studios. I painted it in white gesso and stamped gold ink on it using a script texture stamp. The paper are from the Vintage Spring Basics collection from Maja Design.

Memento Vivere means Remember to live. This is something we all need to be remembered of when life is busy. The idea for the title of my layout was from the paper that is from Maja Design's Vintage Spring Basics collection. I have used a few chipboard pieces on this layout - Ornate Medallions, Damask Motif and Brigitte Butterfly Set. I painted them in white gesso and then I added some micro beads in silver.

I also made a birthday card. Here I used the Brigitte Butterfly Set and the Heart Set.
