A layout, a mini album and a tag trio...

Welcome back to another beautiful day at Blue Fern Studios. Today I will share with you a layout, a mini and a trio of tags.
For all 3 projects,  I used Blue Fern Studios Ombre Dreams paper. I did some masking with molding paste and some inking on the background of my layout.

To color the Wild Field Stem, once again, I heat embossed it using a few different colors from Lindys Stamp Gang. I heat embossed it twice to get 2 different colors on the flower part and let some of it bleed into the stem.

For the Majestic Frame, I heat embossed it and added a couple of jewels, then just kissed the edges with some soft charcoal ink.

For the cover of the mini, I used a couple of the Berry Stems and the Memories frame from the Memory Frame Set.



I painted the frame and the Berry Stems with white gesso, then heat embossed it using Lindys Stamp Gang embossing powder.

The Circle Motif was heat embossed straight onto raw chipboard. I gave it  double coat for texture.

 For the tags, I used the Framed Trinkets set which contains all 3 pieces. I used cut out pieces from the Bits Of Honey set.

I coated the chipboard with white gesso and heat embossed them with Lindy's embossing powder.

Once the tags were complete, I gave them an overall spray with Lindys Starburst spray for extra color and shimmer.

"Timeless" Chunky Mini Album with Steff Miller *NEW Video Team Member*

**** EXCITING NEWS ***

Hi Everyone! I have some fun news to share! My name is Stephanie Miller and I will be posting new mini album video's for Blue Fern Studios! I'm thrilled to be be a part of the NEW Blue Fern Studio's YouTube Channel Team and can't wait to share some of the amazing projects we have planned for you!

But first, here's a little info about me: 

I have been scrapbooking for over 16 years and have been sharing my creations with the on-line scrapbooking community since 2006. I have taught in beautiful places in the world and I enjoy the adventure of meeting others who love this craft as much as I do. Inspiring others to discover their own style of scrapbooking is a joy to me.

Currently, I am a Prima Educator and an on-line instructor for the Live with Prima Ustream program, which broadcasts live classes to crafters all over the world. 

From Southern California, I am a busy mom raising two boys with my husband along with our golden retriever chasing close behind. We are all enjoying the roller coaster way of life and stopping along the way for me to pull out my camera to capture those favorite moments that make me grin.

And now for my "Timeless" Chunky Mini Album project! 

I've created a gorgeous chunky "It's Timeless" Mini Album that was crazy easy and fun-fast to make featuring the Blue Fern Garden papers!! And, I have to say...  I love how it turned out! I also used Blue Fern Studio's chipboard pieces - which if  you've never used on any of your projects, I say ... "Give a go!! Their pieces are stunning with lots of great details!"

And remember -- YOU can create one of these fun mini albums --Yes, you can do it! This project is super easy and gorgeous!! Ok... so here we go ! I hope you enjoy! 

Tags with Camilla

Hi! It's my turn to give you some inspiration using gorgeous Blue Fern Studios products. I have created two tags, which could be given away as cards.

For my first tag I used paper from the Blue Fern Garden collection. The chipboards, Petite Windows and Veranda Cages, are painted in white and then stamped on using black ink.

For my second tag I used paper from the Ombré Dreams collection together with the chipboard pieces Organic Vine Corner and Brigitte Butterfly Set. The chipboards are painted in white and then I used some light green embossing powder.

We're looking to add to our product design department!

We are seeking freelance product designers that are proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (illustration skills a must).  Must be imaginative and able to create unique and sophisticated designs that are custom for Blue Fern Studios.

August Education Video with Jelissa

Hello friends,

today I'm sharing with you a start-to-finish video on making a mini canvas, as well as how to use the gel transfer technique to "print" designs on your favourite Blue Fern Studios chipboard products.

I've used the Tattered Diamond Bits for this project. This technique is suitable for chipboards with more surface as the images or designs you're transferring will be more visible. Some other suitable chipboard pieces would be "Manor Hinges", "Cloudy Skies", "Winter Trees"and "Nifty Tags".

My mini canvas also made used of left over scraps from my Ombre Dreams papers which I used for layering as well as stamping my sentiment.
