Jane's Memoirs Junk Journal

The definition of stunning...Jane's Memoirs paper collection!
Every piece of this journal as it came together made me gasp

The design is just so beautiful, it's impossible to
go wrong creating with it!

I used all elements of the collection in this journal, lace, ephemera and stamps.

This collection by Jen Bishop is one of my all time favorites!  And the journal design credit goes to Jen's Mom!

This journal will sit front and center in my craft room,
so I can admire the beautiful paper collection!

Thank you Jen, Jen's Mom and Blue Fern Studio
for inspiring me with this gorgeous collection!

Pride & Prejudice

Hello and welcome back! I have another layout using the Jane's Memoirs line for you today.
I used a photo taken from the movie Jane Eyre trying to stay in sync with the paper theme!
I used transparent gesso to prepare my background. I then used a stencil and some molding paste for some texture and colored it with some mist from Shimmerz called Bed of Roses. I used one of the ephemera pieces to help frame in my photo. The colors were a perfect match.
I used the chipboard frame Emma's treasures and prepared it by painting it with white gesso. I then added some Pearl embossing powder to it to brighten it right up and when I was done heat embossing it I added some Distress Glitter in Rock Candy.
I made some flourishes and small flowers with a mould from Prima. The flowers I went over with the Bed of Roses mist and the flourishes I painted white and added some Distress Glitter to it in Rock Candy for some extra sparkle. I used blooms from Prima and 49 & Market. I also added two adorable flower charms from the collection and added some Perfect Pearls in the middle.
I also added some cheesecloth behind my flowers for some added texture. I sprayed the cheesecloth with Picket Fence mist from Dylusions to make the cheesecloth whiter and stiffer.
For my title I took the bottom part of the page (which usually gives the info about the collection) and cut the title of the paper out to use as my title of my layout. Waste nothing!! I also added some random pearls in pink and cream for extra interest.

And that brings this post to a close! I hope you like it!
All the best! :)

Perfect

Welcome! I have a new project today done with the A Romantic Life collection.
This layout was inspired by the uber talented Marilyn Rivera you can find her blog here. This is my second oldest granddaughter Emily, an avid gymnast and dancer with a big personality!
I did the usual with my background. First an application of clear Gesso. I then cut all around the circle graphic on the page leaving only a tiny bit at the bottom attached. I then went around the graphic cutout with a stencil and some molding paste. At first I gave it a light coating of color in pink but ended up going back and adding more color to make it pop more.
I used the Ornate Corner Flourish and cut it in half. I used It's A Girl embossing powder to color it. I added a piece on the top and one on the bottom to help extend my design. I used some cheesecloth and tucked it underneath the cutout as well as under the chipboard pieces.
I used flowers from Prima and the little pink roses are from the Blue Fern Studios Spring Blooms collection in pink.
I used some pieces from the Ephemera pack to help embellish my page.
Another photo showing the Ephemera pieces.
My title came from the Perfect, Adorable, Special chipboard pack. I love these words packages! They are awesome for titles. I used Bubblegum embossing powder to color it and added some Seedlings in Meadow to help it stand out more. I also used seedlings randomly on my page for more interest. I also used Art Stones from Prima.
I stamped out some butterflies and added them randomly on my layout. The yellow roses are from 49 & Market.

I love the colors in this line. They are versatile and great for a variety of different types of photos.
That brings this post to an end for today. I hope that you are well and staying safe out there! It has been a challenging time for everyone with this Pandemic. I hope and pray that we as a society can work together to rid ourselves of this virus. Hang in there as this to shall pass!
All the best! :)

Jane Austen

Welcome! Today I have a new layout done with the beautiful Jane's Memoirs collection.
These papers are filled with gorgeous colors and graphics.
I chose to scrap a photo based on the character Jane Austen. I backed my photo with various bits of papers from the collection as well as from the ephemera pack.
I used the Regal chipboard frame for this page. I did the layout differently this time. I added all my elements then went over them all with white gesso. I then misted the page trying to compliment the colors on the paper.
 Another close-up.
I used Blue Fern lace and Prima flowers to embellish the page. I also used some mechanicals.
 Another close-up.

I took the title from my page. I cut off just enough of the top to get the title Jane Austen.  I enjoyed working with these papers! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Take care and all the best! :)
