First DT Projects By Debbie

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with you today to share my first projects as a designer for Blue Fern Studios.  I'm thrilled to be designing for Blue Fern Studios and I hope that I inspire you with my projects.
Here is a little about me . . .

I have a shabby chic style and have been scrapbooking for 15 years.  I live in the beautiful state of Maryland near our nation's capitol.  I am an Assistant Project Manager for a general contracting company.  Evenings and weekends you can find me in my scrapbook room or outside tending to my flower gardens.  You can find my blog here:

For my first layout I used papers from the Deja Vu Collection; Luminaries, Lustre, Tresors and Petities Cartes.  Love the gorgeous colors and details in the papers.

A few details:
Here I used the Butterfly Damask chipboard which I embossed with white embossing powder.

I cut pieces from the Quartre Foil chipboard and embossed with white embossing power.  I randomly placed pieces on my layout.

Here I have used the chipboard word Special which I inked purple.
Products used:

Tresors
Petites Cartes

For my second layout I used papers from the Love Story Collection; Amazing Heart, Sweet Song and Calling Cards.  Another beautiful collection of papers!  Love the colors!

A few details:
Tucked being my photo is the new Photo Arches chipboard which I painted with some Shimmerz Inklingz in Sheer Bliss and then embossed with some white embossing powder.

I cut the bottom strip off of the paper and used it as my title and placed in on the Flutter Medley chipboard which I painted with the Shimmerz Inklingz Sheer Bliss and embossed with white embossing powder.  I held my heat gun close to the chipboard to obtain the bubbled texture.  I stamped some of my paper layers with the Vintage Edges stamp.

Here I used the chipboard word love from the Adore, Love, Cherish set which I covered with some red dimensional paint.
Products used:
Love Story Collection:
Amazing Heart
Sweet Song
Calling Cards
Chipboard:
Flutter Medley
Photo Arches

For my final layout I used papers from the Love Story collection; Amazing Heart, The Grand Ball and Calling Cards to create this vintage layout.

A few details:
I embossed a piece from the Spring Trinkets set along with a circle piece from the Brick Rings  chipboard with some Stampendous Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel.  Love the mix of colors.  I added some pink bling to the centers of the flowers

The word adorable from the Perfect, Adorable, Special set was inked with pastel pink.

This beautiful chipboard piece is from the Deja Vu Dangles which I also embossed with the shabby pink embossing enamel and added a little metal bird cage.

Three projects, three collections by Marie-Josée

Hello all,

I hope you are all doing fine. School is almost out (well, here in Canada), and summer is just around the corner. Here are a few projects for you!

Box + easel card

I created this gift box with an easel card on top with the Déjà Vu paper collection. I used two different papers: Friperies for the box, and Un voyage à Paris for the card.

I altered one of the butterflies from the Brigitte Butterfly Set with white gesso and purple mist.

I also used a piece of the Country Picket Fence, altered with white gesso:

"Delight" layout

For this layout, I used a paper from the Blue Fern Garden paper collection, the first released by Blue Fern.

I glued the Checker Bits chipboard pieces to my background and added white gesso on top with a sponge.

I also altered a piece of the Postage Frames chipboard set with white gesso. The word Delight from the Delight set was altered with Gelatos. I just used the Gelatos on the bare chipboard and with my finger and a bit of water, I applied the color all over.

"Memories Captured" layout

This layout was created with the Ombré Dreams paper collection. The paper I used is Julianna's Dream.

I used the Crosshatch Frame under my photo. I didn't alter it.

I also used the Memories Captured chipboard from the Captured Words set. This piece was also used as is, without any medium.

Today I'll be inspiring you with the layout and step-by-step video tutorial, and mixed media canvas.

"Happy" layout

For the background I used a paper from Love Story Collection. I love this kind of papers! Wonderful background to make a photo stand out. This shot was made while my kids were going crazy:) It's very difficult to take a photo with both of them, but I am trying my best.
All the details of creation process you can watch in step-by-step video tutorial.
Enjoy!

Today we would like to show you how designer, Melinda Thompson, has used the beautiful Blue Fern Deja Vu collection to create a this precious layout.  The soft colors are the perfect backdrop for this sweet photo of her baby boy.

Here is a close-up of the Harlequin Panel which Melinda has positioned behind the photo, along with a piece (The Story) from the Arrow Words chipboard set.   You can see in the image above that she has also used small sections of the Harlequin Panel throughout her layout.  She has stamped images from the Halftone stamp set to add visual texture to her project.

We hope Melinda has inspired you with this beautiful layout!
