Two layouts with the Love Story collection by Marie-Josée

Hello all!

I am happy to be back today to share two layouts made with the latest Blue Fern Studios paper collection, Love Story, as well as my sketch layout. Here they are!

"Famille" layout

For this layout, I used white cardstock as a base. Then, I tore the Grand Ball paper from the Love Story collection in two and used each side on my layout. I also added a piece of the Concerto paper at the top.

Here's a little trick: on this layout, I used two different chipboard that I cut in half.

Here's the Britannia Flourish (above and under my picture):

The title, Famille, is from the French Words set:

And here is the Wild Flourish Bundle (on the left and right sides of my picture):

"Love Story" layout

Here's my second layout with the Love Story collection. I used the Twenty One paper for my background. As you can see, I used the "Love Story" words from the strip of paper we always cut and toss to create my title.

To frame my picture, I used a piece of the Lace Rounds set. Under it is the Symphony border. Both were altered with black spray ink

I cut a small piece of the Symphony border to put on the left side of my layout.

Sketch layout

And finally, here's the layout I created for the sketch challenge back at the beginning of February.

I used a paper from the Ombre Dreams collection to create my background, the Ginger's Dream paper.

Then, under my picture, I added the Boston Lattice chipboard. I altered it with gesso.

Then, on the left, I used the Fancy Signage chipboard, also altered with gesso, and on top, the word Amour from the French Words set.

Today we Feature YOU!

We would like to thank all of you who use our products!  You are SO creative.  We see the layouts you create using our products on your blogs and in galleries.  Did you know Blue Fern Studios has a gallery?  We do, and you can find it here.  We hope you will upload your Blue Fern projects there.

This layout by Helena Johansson was created using paper from the Blue Fern Montage collection.  The swirls are our Mini Flourishes (set of 4).  The beautiful colors and texture really caught our eye.

Here's a layout created by Mes10doigts of Canada, that was uploaded to our gallery.  She has used the Blue Fern Graduated Circles on her layout that just screams sunshine!

Patti Hamel created this beautiful layout using paper from the Montage Collection.
This represents the best of neutrals!

Former Blue Fern Creative Team member Tiffany began with a blank canvas, layered it with chipboard pieces and paper from the Sanctuary collection, and then applied her magic.  What an incredible final project!

We found this fun, summery layout on Geraldine Pasinati's blog.  We love that she combined these two papers from our Sanctuary collection that mimic the sand and beautiful blue water!

The Calling Cards paper from the Sanctuary Collection can be used in so many creative ways.  Take a look at how Maggie used the cards to create a tag album.  Such a sweet treasure!

Thanks ladies!  You inspire all of us.

Love is Beautiful!

Ahhhh yes, love is beautiful, and so is our Love Story Collection.  It's the perfect choice for your love and Valentine projects.   Take a look at the beautiful card Marie-Joseé created using paper from Love Story and the Quatrefoil Garden Panel chipboard piece.  We love that she made it so personal by including a photo of herself!

Now take a look at the romantic layout Marie-Joseé created, layering several sheets of paper from the Love Story collection with some Bits of Honey chipboard pieces.  To top it off, she added some words of love from our French Words chipboard set.  What better way to show your special someone how much they mean to you?

If you've got a love story to tell, we have the perfect paper collection for you!

February Projects by Melinda Thompson

Hello there everyone :)

I am happy to be here today to share with you all my February projects for Blue Fern Studios.

I can't get enough of the Ombre Dreams paper range...such beautiful colours. I have created this layout using Julianna's Dream as well as Dream Cards in my layers.

"Adore"

Kind of had a little fun with this layout.  I used some chipboard from the Chunky Heart Panel which I just cut out bits that I needed, covered them with gesso and then added some crackle paint over the top. Using some of the negative hearts from the panel piece, I added them in random places and sprinkled them with glass beads for a cool effect.

I have also used the word "Adore" for my title from the Adore, Love Cherish pack and a Romantic Page Dangle.

Paper: Ombre Dreams Collection: Julianna's & Dream Cards
Chipboard: Romantic Page Dangle, Chunky Heart Panel, Adore, Electic Heart

My next project is a personal project, something just for me.
I have used papers from the Montage Collection: Invitation and Calling Cards.

"Noted"

I have used a few various pieces of chipboard on this layout.  I have used the Turkish Bits chipboard on the background, the Swirly Doodle layered next to my photo and an Arrow word "Noted" .  In among my flower cluster you will also notice a piece from the nested circle set. All have been primed with gesso first and then lots of different inks and mists to alter them.

Paper: Montage Collection: Invitation & Calling Cards
Chipboard: Swirly Doodle, Nested Circles, Arrow Word, Turkish Bits

Happy Scrapping :)

February projects by Ulrika Blomfelt

Hello! I´m so happy to share some new projects created with the new collection called Love Story. Valentines day is in just a week and I want to give cards for my loved ones. But before I show you the cards I created I have a layout to show you all!

I have a sweet spot for black when I create. The new collection has lovely red colors but also some black papers. When you create with the black ones you can add any color of your choice just like I did here.

I used the Mesh bits with my flowers.

I also used all of the new gorgeous stamp sets. I mainly used them for texture and contrasts on my layout. You get a really cool effect!

This page is created after the February sketch. Hope you will join us!
I used Ombre Dreams and both Arrow words and the lovely Spring Branch.

I used a black pen to make my leaves more visable.

I actually cut my branch in to three pieces.

And now over to my Love cards! Have you noticed how pretty the label strips are on the papers? I hate to see lovely supplies go to waste so I braided the strips and made a cute background.
It was a bit difficult to take photos so that the layered black hearts are properly visible. Sorry for that.

My next card is in a bit more romantic style. I used the Frilly Hearts here also but I coverd it with a paper and made sure that the words fitted my Arrow Sweet Word chipboard. This is a fun and playful way to mix your title!

Thank you for looking at my work! Hugs from Ulrika!
