In the Mood & Happy Accident layouts by France Ringuette

All you Need is Love - Layout #1

What can I say other than I am in LOVE with the new collection In the Mood, Artisan collection by Blue Fern Studios. The hardest challenge was choosing what paper to use for my first layout as they are all spectacular.

I chose to use Attracted in the collection pack for this beautiful wedding picture of my friend Marina and her husband David. I was inspired by the lovely floral prints and the greens that would match perfectly with the background of this beautiful picture.

First step was to add with a stencil, light molding paste, creating small hearts on my background, then I added onto the molding paste Baby Pink embossing powder and heated this up. I love adding my embossing powders on my papers.

Then I covered a clock chipboard with white gesso and heat embossed it with Pixie Dust embossing powder. I love that mix of gold and pink. It is a spectacular new color that has become a recent favorite.

The new printed chipboard title was perfect for this page, I wanted it centered under my picture. Then I built my layering of flowers, lace, stamp prints and die-cuts around it.

Did you notice the circles ? They are  from the Texture Circles stamp collection. I stamped them on white cardstock and cut them out to add as embellishments to my page.

How are you finding that beautiful lace under my title? I found it gave the layout such a classy look.

In this next picture, you can get a closer look at the new flowers and the stamped circle. Notice that small pink lace flower? It's from the lace 10 set.

In the last 2 images, a better look at the Pink Topaz seedlings:

    Sweetheart- Layout #2

A friend of mine has the cutest little daughter and had some amazing picture taken to capture her first birthday. I just love this picture with her daughter in a tutu dress stepping on Brittany's bright red shoes. This picture was my inspiration for the layout. I wanted to play with reds and light pinks.

My starting point was the new In the Mood collection, I chose the Mellow paper for my background. I just found that little red bird oh so cute.

Next steps was to add some layers of paper. I played with Ecstatic and Pensive from the same collection

Here is a closer look at the photo area. As you might have noticed, I used some of the In the Mood Printed Chipboards for decorative elements.

I made a die-cut out of the Ecstatic paper, love that red tone.

The Turkish Bits chipboard is heat embossed with the Pure Red embossing powder

I wanted to add more red to my layout so I stamped and embossed in Pure Red this beautiful Butterfly from the Butterflies stamp collection.

Under my flowers you can see some touches of lace 4 and some Pink Topaz seedlings

    CUTE- layout #3

For this layout, I started playing around with the cute bird on the brand chipboard. I had this beautiful daycare picture of Emma that was just perfect to build a nice soft page.

I build this chipboard in 3 layers. First step was to emboss the branch and leaves with Green Ivory embossing powder. Second step was to add a layer of glue with a fine tip dispenser then add the Meadow and Twig seedlings. Once that was dry, I then embossed the bird with Frozen embossing powder.

Oooh this turned out just lovely.

Here is a closer look at the bird and leaves.

Next step was the frame, I wanted it to melt into the background, so I chose Oatmeal as my embossing color for this one.

Last and final step was the ornament cluster. I used a flower from heartland blossoms and dark tropic lilys collections.

I enjoy adding pieces of lace to my projects and Lace #4 is my favorite.

    February Inspiration by Debbie Burns

Hi everyone!  Debbie back with you today to share my February layouts.   I have two today, one created with the new In The Mood Collection and the second one featuring the Amber & Apricot collection.

    "I Love You"
I enjoyed working with the new collection, In The Mood.  Lots of beautiful papers to choose from.  I used the Dreamy paper for my base.  Not much sun here in my neck of the woods to truly show the beautiful colors and details in the background paper.

To achieve the coloring on the chipboard piece, I used a mixture of two new embossing powders, Black & Gold along with Pure Red and a tiny amount of It's A Girl.

Lot of layering behind the photo using the Dreamy paper and Pensive Side B,
    along with the printed chipboard.

Look at all of those lovely flowers!   Most of them are from the new Moody Florals and Moody Blooms collections. I placed some chipboard pieces among the flowers which I embossed with Black & Gold and added some Fire Engine Glitter.   At the base of the flowers I used a mixture of two new Seedlings, Beating Heart and Pink Topaz.

My second layout highlights the Amber & Apricot collection.

    "Happy Little Moment"
The background paper is Chapters (Side B).  I thought the aged design on the paper was a perfect compliment to the old photo of my Mom and her family.  I applied some coral mist and stamping using the Swiss Dots and Tattered Newsprint stamps.

Lots of layering under the picture using pieces from the Printed chipboard that coordinates with the Amber & Apricot collection.  I embossed the chipboard with Blood Orange Embossing Powder.

The title is from the Printed Chipboard.  I embossed some chipboard pieces with a mixture of Dark Chocolate and Blood Orange Embossing Powders.

Lots of flowers from Late Winter Lilies, Chesterville Florals, Christmas Blooms, Homespun Blooms and Remnants Blossoms surround the picture.

    The Mémoires Collection by Karine

    Hi,

It's my turn, today, to share with you my October layouts created with the brand new Mémoires collection. The papers are just gorgeous!

The end of a Perfect Day

For this layout, I used the Tale of Treasures paper as my background. After I primed it with clear gesso, I used a stencil with modeling paste. I added a bit of blue mist with a brush.

To add more interest to the background, I used the Grungy Grid stamp with black ink. I also added another stamp with text.

Behind my photo cluster, I used the Circle Groupe chipboards, which I embossed with Sand & Sea Imagine Ink embossing powder. It matches the background beautifully.

Under my picture, I used the Calling Cards paper to mat.

I used the Photographic Record paper to die cut a doily to add to both my clusters. I also added some flowers and wire thread to embellish.

My title piece, The End of a Perfect Day, is also embossed with Sand & Sea Imagine Ink embossing powder.

    Life is Full of Surprises

When I saw this beautiful paper, called Chronicles, in the collection, I immediately thought of this picture of my daughter. I primed it with clear gesso and, as usual, used some modeling paste through a stencil to add texture.

I also added two mists colors to the background: one in a red-burgundy shade that matches the background and another in a golden yellow tone. I used both the Grungy Grid and the Forever stamps to add interest to my background.

To mat my picture, I used a piece of the Grand Sequel paper and a card from the Calling Cards paper. I placed that over the largest Frilly Hearts chipboard which I embossed with Oatmeal Imagine Ink embossing powder. I just love how it mat my picture with such feminine details.

To embellish, I used some Attic Charm Daisies (you can see it better in the next picture), some Seaside Lilies and some Harvest Lilies. Did I mentioned how I love Blue Fern Studios flowers?

In my flower cluster, I used two keys from the Vintage Keys set. I used again the Oatmeal Imagine Ink embossing powder.

My title piece, the Life is Full of Surprises chipboard, is embossed with Ginger Imagine Ink embossing powder.

    Complices

For my last layout, I started with the Nature's Novel paper. I love the earth tones of this one.

I used my new favorite stamp: the Crackle Texture stamp, here and there, on the background. A few shades of ink (aqua, brown and yellow) here and there, and background was done.

I had this idea of a torn band of paper going diagonally on my layout. I used the Photographic Record paper to do so. I tucked some pieces of the Turkish Bits chipboards set behind the paper, to add interest. I embossed the chipboards with Mushroom Imagine Ink embossing powder and while it was still hot, I sprinkled some Sand & Sea Imagine Ink embossing powder over it. I believe this powder will quickly become my favorite!

For my main embellishment cluster, I chose the Seaside Flourish chipboard, which I cut apart to keep just the flourish and the flowers. You can see, in the picture above, How I cut the anchor and the two stars and keeps everything else.

I used brown Ink to color this chipboard and then, I dry brushed some white gesso to make it stand out a bit more.

In this cluster, I used a lot of Blue Fern Studios flowers: little Courtship Blooms, some Spring Lilies and, of course, the beautiful Mémoires Blooms.

I used those flowers again in the two other clusters I made.

I mated my picture with the Calling Cards paper. My title piece comes from the Amis, Ensemble, Complices set. I treated it with the same steps as I did with the other chipboards on this layout.

I hope my layouts inspires you to dig in this BEAUTIFUL new collection.

    Have a great day,
    Karine

    August Layouts with Bec

Hi all, today I have two layouts to share with you.

    Beach Babe

My first layout is using the gorgeous new Seaside Cottage collection. This collection is PERFECT for all your beach photos!!!

I chose the Embark paper for my background and placed my photo so the sand matched up to the beige half of the paper. I added a little interest to my back ground with the Forever and Essential Texture stamps.

On the Seaside Lantern chipboard I first covered it with white crackle paste, then I coloured it with blue spray and inked the edges with brown ink.

To the Seaside Flourish chipboard piece I gave it texture with white sand paste before I coloured it with beige spray and brown ink.

On my title Beach Babe I used a mix of embossing powders in Bonny Blue, Breeze, Oatmeal and Snow to colour it

To embellish I used gorgeous flowers from the Seaside Lillies and Tranquil Roses and Lillies packs along with some real seashells and starfish.
