Hi everyone

Leila's here again to show my 2 layouts for this month, in both I used Ombré Collection...

The first one is in pink, purple and black!

Some details:

Here I painted the title "The big day" with acrilic and spray ink and put some glitter. The "Berry Stems" i painted with distress ink and put liquid pearl in the dots.

The little camera I colored with black pen and put some colorless relief.

Again I colored the film strip with black pen.

BFS supplies:
- Charlotte's dream paper
- Wedding words
- Berry stems
- Picture perfect

My second layout is a "clean" page...

The little flowers I colored with spray ink and put in two corner of photo...in this case, less is more.

BFS supplies:
- Ginger's dream paper
- Bohemian flowers

So this it's for today. I hope you like it!

sumertime scrapping

Hello all Blue Fern studios Fans!

Olga here . I'm coming today with 3 layouts I made with using BFS products. All 3 on Ombre Dreams collection . I love it and I can't have enough of it. Perfetly fit me everywhere to feminal and masculine style it is just perfect.

Anyway back to the subject. First work is feminal LO with cat lady .Charlotte's Dream was background of my project.  In composition I use piecies of Dot Grid Panel and  one of Frilly Hearts covered with gesso . As a title I put dreams come true piece

This layout is about summer fun. Those feets belongs to my personal son :) photo was taken on amazing playground after a long day filed with running around, playing pirates and chasing bubbles. I use here last piece of Dot Gird Panel ( one panel I had for 4 works and I still have small piece :) ) I used here also Filmstrip and directions arrows. paper I use here is ginger's dream

On this layout is one of last photos I took in Poland on one of our daily park walks. Yes I know something is wrong with me and making feet photos ;) But I can't stop myself I like them so much . Here Iuse Charlotte's dream as background and made lots of media shadows to better expose my composition. I use piece of awesome small number gird . All black elements are from picture perfect set its awesome set to layouts but also will perfectly fit to any project life projects.

Ombre Dreams 3 Times

Hello  all Blue fern studios fans !

Today i have for You 3 Layouts on Ombre Dreams. The Latest paper collection from BFS.  I love them since first look . They are soft , pastel universal, thick and beautiful.

My first work is with Ginger's Dream and Susan's Dream . At first i prepared background with
City Map Panel and my mist sprays. I simply sprayed through the chipboard on regular white cardstock. I received interesting background - negative of my chipboard panel. Chiboard is still perfect to use.   I could use in the same work and get pattern and color match but i left it for another work ;)   Techno Rings fitted me perfectly in industrial background composition    At the end I used Captured Words as title of my work.

Second work is based on Susan's Dream. I made it with photo of my friend. Again I used chipboard to make some effects in background. They are lights and soft because the paper is so beautifull , soft and fitted amazingly to my work so i decided to not cover it too much.

I started with adding little bit of gesso through Circle Groups around my composition. I
used also Broken Rings, Seasonal Wildflowers,  and Picture Perfect,  as elements around the photo

This one is in violets and blues. little bit of messy with lot of stamping. Instead of photo I used here beautiful postcard . I use Charlotte's Dream as base of my project and as paper elements in composition I used Broken Rings and Dot Grid Panel as elements under my photo. And Dream Big as title to my work and ligtest element in the same time

Save Those Punch-Outs Tutorial

Hello, Blue Fern fans! Jackie here today with a little tutorial about using those little bits of chipboard you might normally recycle.

I don't know about you, but as soon as I get an order of chipboard, I tend to punch out the little extra bits of chipboard. The pieces that I don't think will find use as design features on a one of my projects I put into a Ziploc bag to be used to add height in my layering later on. Those that I feel I will use go into another bag. But recently I've started looking at those castoff pieces in a different light, as parts of a whole.

Take the Garden Window set.

You might normally punch out the flourishes and set them aside (I did), but they make wonderful additional details to your piece.

If you are planning on reassembling your chipboard pieces, you want to be sure to use media that will just coat the top of the piece and not cause the sides to change dimension. For this reason I chose to use embossing enamel rather than paint.

I prefer my embossing ink in a dabber so that I have better control of where it goes (using either the dabber top or by removing the top and painting the ink on).

Cover your main piece with one colour of embossing enamel and heat emboss.

The white is pretty stark, so once it had cooled I went in with several colours of chalk ink to add some depth, making sure to heat set each colour before I added the next.

I then heat embossed the insert pieces in a different colour of embossing enamel.

Here's what the finished piece looks like:

And my layout:

Some closeups:

From the Heart Set, misted.

A piece from the Shabby Brick Panel, treated in the same way as the Garden Window.

I love the shutters that go with the Garden Window - they seem very Old World to me. I've added the sprigs from the All Natural Set, treated with the same colour embossing enamel as the punch outs for some continuity and to give the impression of a window box. The "Click" is from the Picture Perfect Set.

The masking on the Parlour paper from Blue Fern Garden was done using Ceramic Stucco, which gives amazing texture and accepts other media beautifully - I coloured mine with mists and chalk ink.

I love the way chipboard pieces add so much interest to your flower clusters.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope that you'll start looking at those little throwaway bits of chipboard in a new light!
