Paper bag mini journal

Hello everyone! Henriëtte here with a mini journal made from a paper bag and decorated
with the Eclectic Charm collection.

This mini journal measures 5,5 x 3 1/4 inches.
I found the idea for this kind of journal on the Creativecafegirl You Tube channel.
She has various tutorials available.

The cover is made using a small paper bag.
I've glued a cute bird from the ephemera pack on the front and for closure I've added a ribbon.
The pages inside the journal are kraft packaging papers.
This journal has 12 pages and all pages are decorated with the Eclectic charm papers.

On the first page I've made a side pocket with ephemera and added a chipboard piece from the
flourish and flowers set. I've used a black inkpad to color the chipboard.
On the right page I've added a tiny coin envelope and in it are two small tags.

On these two pages I've made two side pockets with ephemera from the
Eclectic charm calling cards and a inked flower chipboard.

Here I've made a flip out with washi tape and on the right a bellyband to hold ephemera.

These two pages both have a little tuck spot made from two ephemera pieces.

The page on the left has a pocket. The other page is not embellished.
The paper was just so beautiful.

Next, two pages with stamped images. I've used two stamp sets:
Spread your wings and fancy clocks.
I've stamped the images with black chalk ink.

The last two pages have a side pocket and also the pocket from the paper bag.
It can hold ephemera pieces and journaling paper.

I hope you like my little Eclectic Charm journal.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Blue Fern Studios blog!!

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Little Moment

Back to you today with a layout done with the Remnants Collection from Blue Fern Studios.
I decided to go with the Maroon and purples in this collection. I prepped my page with transparent Gesso then used a diamond Tim Holtz stencil to match the pattern on the page. Using Bodacious Blush I colored the diamond shapes. Then I used the Tattered Newsprint stamp and did some stamping around the page.
I used the Textured Wildflowers chipboard and cut it in half to make extend further on my page. I used Plum and Mystic Plum embossing powders to color the blooms.
On the other half of my page I used this piece of chipboard (sorry can't remember the name) which resembles a brick wall. This brick element is also on the Wildflower Chipboard which worked out perfectly. I embossed the brick with a dark brown and some Avocado embossing powder. I then added some stamped flowers and leaves to imitate a trellis. I also used this piece from the Printed Chipboard as my title.
The other half of the Textured Wildflowers piece.
I used some of the Printed Chipboard that came with this line to frame my photo.
I stamped some papers with the Journaling Cards Stamp and tucked it behind my photo.
I used some Seedlings in Meadow throughout the page to help bring out the green on the brick pieces.
Last close-up.

Sparkle All the Way - by Vicky Alberto

I couldn't resist making one more layout with the gorgeous Christmas Cheer collection before breaking out the Valentine's projects. The papers are just way too much fun to work with!

I embellished with beautiful Blue Fern white blooms, Sparkle collection chipboard (title and snowflakes), and even tucked some flower charms from the Radiance collection for a chilly feel.

I painted all of the chipboard white and then applied glaze and quickly sprinkled a bit of diamond dust, to add sparkle.

Thanks for visiting the blog today to check out my project!

Apple of my Eye

Good day! Back to you with a colorful layout featuring the Radiance Collection from Blue Fern Studios.

This is one of my favorite photos of my eldest granddaughter Lilly when she was just a baby (soon to be 13 this month). The Radiance collection papers were perfect for this photo.
For my background I used clear Gesso to prime my papers. I added some colors (Raspberry Lemonade, Orange Creamsicle, and Salt Water Taffy from Lindy's Stamp Gang) to my page with a stencil. I did a bit of random stamping using the Scripted Medley and Tattered Newsprint stamps. I went around my photo area with a flower stencil and some molding paste. I added Pink Topaz Seedlings in the center for some fun texture. I also used pieces of lace around the chipboard frame.
I backed my photo with some strips of other papers from the line. You can also see I used a leaf charm from the Charms collection.
This is an older frame which is no longer available unfortunately but I had to use it! The hearts just played on my feelings for this sweetheart. I also heat embossed some drywall tape and added it around my photo for added texture and fun.
My title came with an adorable little apple. I heat embossed it first with Fuchsia then again with Pink Dust.
The butterfly came from the Fantasy Butterfly collection. I heat embossed it first with Pink Dust then again with wheat.
You can see here the Layering Stems chipboard which I heat embossed with Avocado and Garden Daisies which were heat embossed with Raspberry, It's a Girl and Avocado.

A close-up of my photo. Isn't she absolutely scrumptious? Love this kid. Now she is taller than me :(

I used a wide variety of Blue Fern blooms for this layout including Fresh Floral, Remnants Blooms, Spring Floral in Pink, White and Yellow. Finished! Thanks for dropping by!

All the best! :)

Accordion mini book

Hello everyone, Henriëtte here and I have another fun project to share with you today.
It's this coin envelope accordion mini book.

I found a tutorial on you tube on how to make it here.

For the book I used thick chipboard. After I cut all the pieces I decorated the chipboards
with papers from the Eclectic charm collection.
Before glueing on the papers on the front panels I added two circle die cuts
with a brad. This is the closure.
All the edges of the booklet are painted gold with Maya paint.

Picture of the backside.

Next I made the coin envelopes. You can buy these or made them yourself as I did.
I made a template and cut out 8 pieces from the Eclectic charm papers,
assembled the envelopes and cut out half a circle at the top of each envelope.
Then I added a touch of gold on the edges using Maya gold paint.

Using strong adhesive tape I connected all envelopes together and into the booklet.
Only tape in the middle of the envelopes.
This give a fun accordion effect.

I also made eight tags to put in the pockets.
All tags are embellished with Eclectic charm ephemera pieces.

To finish I added a piece of natural twine to close the mini book.

Thanks for visiting the Blue Fern Studios blog.

Hugs, Henriëtte.
