Deja Vu Collection layout Yuko

Hello!Friends!It's   my projects for  May.
I used the Deja Vu series released newly.

It isn't usually to use purple, but this purple is very beautiful!
The other colors combined with that (yellow and green) are also exquisite!

【Moments IN TIME】
Layout in purple Maine.
The favorite top in the purple layout made by now!
Because is it the color which isn't usually used? Somewhat fresh!
The yellow was made the accent according to the pattern  paper, and it was a correct answer!

This chipboard is also very pretty!

A purple part, use  SHIMMERZ.
Green  part use  liquid Pearl.
And empty light modeling paste is piled up.

The commemorative stamp added to this series of Blue Fern Studios
was put on paper and it was cut.

Stamp: Déjà Vu - Click Image to Close
The stamp  is easy to push and easy to use for a line to be delicate.
The place which can be cut and used is also very convenient.

Paper    Deja vu    Luster/Luminaries/Petites Cartes/Voyage A Paris
Chipboard   Sophie's Window / Birds on a Branch

【Fabulous】
Expansive space was imagined featuring a picture of the daughter of the smiling face
which bursts who runs after a soap bubble.

Big square frame cardboard, presence using are plentiful
and do good work without but insisting too much.

I pushed the paper and cut the stamp of this balloon. The black stamp is good; accentuate.

Stamp: Journey - Click Image to Close

I'd like to take out a soap bubble sense, and gel medium was taken on.

Two stories told with the same paper - by Zanka

Here's the situation: imagine you have a beautiful sheet of paper and just too many ideas for how to use it, so you can make up your mind... Can you relate to that ?
I'm the lucky girl here because I had TWO pieces of the same beautiful paper, so I could tell two different stories in slightly different styles. To make it even more fun, I used similar composition, embellishment types and the same techniques .

This is an original vintage photo from the family archive, so it deserved a vintage framing. I kept it soft and feminine. In this page I kept the beautiful border strip, it's discrete but it makes a stunning accent.
In this page I used the soft tones of the paper as a background  to contrasting lively colours of the embellisments, including pieces of Ombre Dreams.
In both layouts I'm using the mix of plain and decorated chipboards. The technique for the coloured chippies is to prime with white gesso,  paint them with watersoluble crayons or gelatos and cover with a layer of clear UTEE. I hope you can see the final effect on the close-ups below:

Supplies:
Papers: Deja vu - Friperies, Petites Cartes.  Ombre Dreams
Chipboards: Majestic frame, Dresden corsage, Floral medley frame, Chelsea vines, Doily bunting

Thank you so much for joining today! Perhaps you have some projects created with Friperies ? I'd love to see them!

Deja Vu Projects with Einat Kessler

Hey crafty friends Einat Kessler here with some inspiration projects with the new Deja Vu collection.

I have to say this is my favorite collection (so far) I just love the purples and yellows and how they go together so well. They are very versatile and can be used for feminine flowery projects as well as masculine projects.

"The Story Noted"

My first project is an interactive layout. I've used the new Valerie's Windows to create an openable window on my page. Under the window I added a photo of me.
I created the entire layout around the window adding a brick wall and flowers. It all tied in really well with the street light on the side of the paper.

Check out the video to see how I created the window and the layout.

Mini Brag Book

My second project is a mini brag book. When I saw the Petites Carted paper I couldn't resist it. It just screamed brag book to me. I used a really easy technique to create the book by simply folding the squares in a accordion shape. Then I inserted a ribbon to tie the book. I cut a few flowers from the La Plume paper and added on the little cover.

Hope you liked the projects!

Have fun creating!

May Projects by Angelica Franssen

Hello friends! Today I'm here to share with you my May projects using the Deja Vu Collection.

My first project is a layout based on May's sketch. I lightly painted the La Plume paper with some watered down gesso. Then did some misting. I used the Friperies paper as the background photo mat.

For the title I used the word "Wonder" from the Delight Set. I also used the Deja Vu Collage Border. The three chipboard pieced I used were all treated the same. First I applied gesso and misted with three different color mists.

The bird cage is from the "Tweets" Collection.

I loved the colors in the Lustre paper. It's like a greenish gray, so I mixed in some purple. I also used the Atelier paper for some background layering.

The title "Discover" is from the  Journey, Discover, Explore Set. I misted it with a dark color so it can pop off the page.

When I was searching for a photo I found the young  woman at the door or window. I thought that the Sara's Screen Door chippy was a perfect match.
I used two of the four Small Symphony Corners to further frame my photo.

For my last project I made a canvas. I took a 10x8 and put three small 3x3 on top for dimension. I first treated the canvas with mist. Then did some masking with modeling paste. I used some scraps from the Un Voyage A Paris papers.
I used bits from the Quatrefoil Panel.

The butterflies are from the Magical Monarchs Set.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Layouts with Déja Vu collection by Keren Tamir

I'm excited to showcase my projects today at the Blue Fern Studios Blog.
I've used the Deja Vu collection for both these layouts.
Both layouts were created on the same background but with two different colour schemes which shows the paper's versatility.

"Sweetheart"

Although its spring, my first project is snow filled with earthy colours.
I framed my daughter's picture in the Winter flake frame which I personally designed for Blue Fern Studios. I covered it randomly with cream coloured embossing powder and then inked it in brown.

The background was stamped with the Deja Vu Stamps, the vintage edges stamp and the journey stamp. All were inked with brown distress ink.
Finally I used the Sweetheart word from the Lovebirds set.

"Perfect photo op"

Thie second layout was also stamped in the background with a new BFS stamp. I used the widgets stamp to create the texture in the background.

This is an old picture of my son. He must be 3 years old here. I framed it in one of the vintage labels chipboard pieces which I coloured in green distress ink. I also used the seaweed chipboard to add as an embellishment.

Thank you so much for visiting the Blue Fern Studios blog!!
Have a wonderful day!!

Take a Look at What's New from our Design Team

We are so thrilled with the layouts our Design Team have been working on using our most recent release, the Deja Vu Collection.  Each one has been applying their own special style with stunning results.  See for yourself:

Bente has used this beautiful paper that is a combination of soft colors - gray, purple, and yellow.  Her sweet flower clusters perfectly bring out the colors of the paper, and she chose to keep her chipboard pieces a neutral white.  You can also see where she has stamped images from the Deja Vu stamp set to add a few dangles to her design.

Kim has used this soft peach/pink paper from the Deja Vu collection which is perfect with this precious infant image.  She keeps the focal point all in the center with lots of fussy cutting and some chipboard pieces, of course!

Zaneta also shows us how lovely purple and a little bit of yellow compliment each each other.  She has built layers under her sunny image (from a recent Sunday afternoon walk) using stamped images from the Halftone Set, several chipboard pieces, and more fussy cutting from paper in the Deja Vu Collection.

We hope you will let these projects inspire you!
