September Shares by Nicole Doiron

Hello everyone!

Nicole here today to share with you some Blue Fern Studios projects,
utilizing a variety of collections as well as chipboard, flowers and Imagine Ink mediums.

Let's start with this very romantic wedding page created on a background
of Love Story "Cotillion" and Timeless "Couture" papers.

I chose to use the title Romantic Moment on which I created an ombre effect using Garnet and Magenta embossing powders as well as a little white paint.  The title was added on layers of fussy cut flowers, pieces of Floral Lattice Bits and more paper flowers from the BFS collections.

I created a rustic look on the Everlasting Dangles by combing a mixture of Garnet embossing powder, black crackle paint, white acrylic paint and some distress stains.  The beautiful key, covered in 14Karat,
is from the Vintage Keys set.

Here's a closeup of all the beautiful BFS flowers I used.  What an elegant bouquet!

And this is the picture that inspired this whole page, of my friend Nathalie and her beau on their wedding day... surely a romantic moment to cherish forever!

Flowers: Seaside Lilies, Attic Charm Daisies, Tranquil Blooms, Attic Charm Glitter Roses
Imagine Ink: Embossing Powders (Garnet, 14Karat, Magenta)

My second project is as sweet and shabby chic as the first one was romantic and elegant.

I wanted to create a very girly page with bright colors over a pale classy background.
I created my background by ripping pieces of the Tranquility "Jubilation" paper and apposed them on top of the pink Courtship Lane "Town Gossip".  I cut out squares out of the wood grain pattern from the "Jubilation" papers and made a vertical collage combined with white corrugated cardboard and lots of flowers.

You can see here a Brigitte Butterfly that I cut in 2.  It was covered with Bonny Blue embossing powder
with a dash of Blue Diamond glitter.

The other half of the butterfly is right here amidst flowers, including a very lovely pink Attic Charm daisy.  You can see here that I did some stamping throughout my page.

The focal point of my page is this gorgeous piece from the Jubilation Corners set.
It was covered in Bonny Blue, sprinkled with Blue Diamond glitter and dabbed with white paint.

On my last close-up shot, you can see the star of this layout, my pretty and adorable niece Ella, as well as the title chosen which I created by combining the word Adorable from the French Words set and a piece left over from another title I had cut out in the past. I treated it with a mix of Mushroom, Ginger and Nutmeg powders.  You can also see here a sneak of the Bits of Honey covered in Fuschia.

My 3rd layout was inspired by the Blue Fern Studios September mood board challenge.

As already described during the challenge reveal...
You may find it strange that despite the mood board giving off a very Summery feel, I was inspired to create a layout all about Autumn.  At the same time, I was incline to show how versatile this mood board is.

I looked through my stash of Blue Fern Studios papers and I found that some of the Autumn Anthology collection went perfectly with the colour palette. I was mainly inspired by the peachy hues which reminded me of Fall leaves and I had just the right picture for it!

I wanted to make my page extra romantic and elegant just as the mood board images, and I find that the Gazebo chipboard piece gives it a warm inviting atmosphere.  I covered it with a mixture of Chili Powder and Tangerine embossing powder after adding a thick layer of gesso and paste.

I made sure to add lots of flowers including a peach Attic Charm Daisy which if my favorite of the constantly growing collection of BFS flowers.

And to soften my whole page to coordinate with the softness of the board, I dabbed some white paint on my papers, flowers, chipboard and embellishments to give it a whitewash effect... inspired by the sea!

February Projects by Nicole Doiron

Already a month has passed by since my first DT reveal for Blue Fern Studios!
I was waiting with much anticipation to share with you some more creations
using these gorgeous papers and intricate chipboard pieces!

My first layout features the whimsical and oh so pretty Serendipity Collection!

I used a lot of chipboard on my page mixing some brand new pieces with a few classic ones.  In the close-up below you see some Leafy Page Accent that I cut into 2 pieces, using one half to frame the Serendipity calling card and the other is peaking out from under the photo.

Blue Fern Studios has a lot of chipboard sets that offer not just one, but numerous pieces in a set so you get much more for your money.  The Leafy Page Accents and the Ironwork Accents both seen above are just two of the many examples. You get up to 8-9 pieces in each set!

I never tire of using butterflies on my layouts (I am shabby chic after all!) and this one is called the Brigitte Butterfly.  I covered it with  Imagine Ink Petal embossing powder.  I did the same on the Floral Lattice Bits used around my flower clusters.

Here you see 2 newer pieces that have been designed to complement the Serendipity papers, the large and majestic Swan Gate that I treated with Fuchsia embossing powder and the word 'contemplation'.  The word as well as the Leafy Page Accent were simply painted white with a faint touch of pink.

Paper: Serendipity (Merriment, Calling Cards)
Chipboard: Swan Gate, Serendipity Words 1, Brigitte Butterfly Set,
Ironwork Accents, Leafy Page Accents, Floral Lattice Bits
Imagine Ink Embossing Powder: Fuchsia, Petal

On my next project, I dug into some of my Blue Fern Studios papers and rediscovered this beautiful dark design from the Sanctuary collection which turned out perfect for this sweet picture mixed in with a little bit of Love Story to complete the title.

I layered some of the Tattered Diamond Bits, covered with Oatmeal embossing powder, and the gorgeous must-have Circle Flourish which I heat embossed with Garnet, then sprinkled with a little Phoenix glitter and dabbed with a little pearly shimmer paint.

A close-up from the other side...

You see below a little snippet of my background stamped with the brick design from the Essential Textures Stamps set and some Cotton Candy embossing powder.

This incredible photo was given to me by a friend a couple years back!
I have a whole collection and I absolutely love it!

Chipboard: Circle Flourish - Small, Tattered Diamond Bits
Imagine Ink Embossing Powder: Garnet, Oatmeal
Imagine Ink Glitter: Phoenix
Stamp: Essential Textures set

And last, but certainly not least, let's take a look at my take on the February BFS sketch!

Here is the sketch, very romantic and perfect for the Blush Collection!

I did some stamping on my background with the Essential Textures set and used this sweet title.

On all my chipboard pieces, I put white gesso, then added some distress stain and added some Imagine Ink glitter, Caribbean.  I then dabbed on some more white gesso to soften them up.

There are so many gorgeous images on the Blush collection papers so I fussy cut a few of them, including those cute little butterflies from the title strips, and popped them up with foam squares to add dimension to my page.  I absolutely adore the Bits of Honey!

I have scrapbooked this picture of my sweetheart and I several times before, but I had another copy and I thought it matched perfectly with these romantic papers!

Three projects, three collections by Marie-Josée

Hello all,

I hope you are all doing fine. School is almost out (well, here in Canada), and summer is just around the corner. Here are a few projects for you!

Box + easel card

I created this gift box with an easel card on top with the Déjà Vu paper collection. I used two different papers: Friperies for the box, and Un voyage à Paris for the card.

I altered one of the butterflies from the Brigitte Butterfly Set with white gesso and purple mist.

I also used a piece of the Country Picket Fence, altered with white gesso:

"Delight" layout

For this layout, I used a paper from the Blue Fern Garden paper collection, the first released by Blue Fern.

I glued the Checker Bits chipboard pieces to my background and added white gesso on top with a sponge.

I also altered a piece of the Postage Frames chipboard set with white gesso. The word Delight from the Delight set was altered with Gelatos. I just used the Gelatos on the bare chipboard and with my finger and a bit of water, I applied the color all over.

"Memories Captured" layout

This layout was created with the Ombré Dreams paper collection. The paper I used is Julianna's Dream.

I used the Crosshatch Frame under my photo. I didn't alter it.

I also used the Memories Captured chipboard from the Captured Words set. This piece was also used as is, without any medium.

Tags with Camilla

Hi! It's my turn to give you some inspiration using gorgeous Blue Fern Studios products. I have created two tags, which could be given away as cards.

For my first tag I used paper from the Blue Fern Garden collection. The chipboards, Petite Windows and Veranda Cages, are painted in white and then stamped on using black ink.

For my second tag I used paper from the Ombré Dreams collection together with the chipboard pieces Organic Vine Corner and Brigitte Butterfly Set. The chipboards are painted in white and then I used some light green embossing powder.

Have a nice day and see you soon!

Three cards by Evgenia

Hello dear friends! its Evgenia Petzer with you today and I made three cards for you, all of them use Ombre Dreams collection and all of them have something in common, i like to make series of cards and hope that you will get inspired as well.

The first one uses Brigitte Butterfly Set, i coloured them with gesso first and then applied silks paint on it. I think its my favorite out of these three.

All the sentiments on all three cards are alss from Ombre dreams papers, the second card uses: Symphony Border, Petite Windows.
The chipboard is colored with pearl paint by Martha Stewart. I reaaly like that apple shape for the cards.

and the last one for today, I love that Symphony border chipboard and i often cut it in smaller pieces.
Blue Fern Studios cipboard used: Symphony Border, Petite Windows

and the last photo of all of them together.

Have a great week everyone!
