Hello Blue Fern Fans, how's everyone doing? We have another beautiful collection created by the amazing and talented Jen Bishop, Life's Vignettes! The designs and colors are so gorgeous, I couldn't wait to create with this collection!
I created a set of layouts, the first one is my favorite of the two. The second one I recorded a step by step tutorial with similar details.
I did alot of fussy cutting and ink distressing on the layout. I also made some vellum flowers and did a few doily diecuts. Although this layout looks simple, it took me hours to create and I love how it turned out!
I used some crocheted doilies and cheesecloth from my stash that helped create my textured background.
I added Lace number 81 on the top and bottom with paper punched black cardstock peaking through.
The butterfly is fussy cut from the collection, that's one of my favorites!
I added beads, Blue Fern Studios Magenta embossing powder (which I thought was just regular glitter) but it was perfect for adding sparkle! For the final touch I added Blue Fern Studios Gold Nugget seedlings, love me some microbeads!
For the vellum flowers I added Finnabair waxes in 3 different shades hoping it would match the colors in this collection.
Here is the second layout with a step by step tutorial!
I basically created the layout using the same details just a different design. You can view my step by step tutorial at the end of this post if you'd like to follow along!
Well after creating the set of layouts I'm ready to get out this collection and create another project! Be sure to stay tuned for another project soon!
We love to hear your thoughts on this collecion and want to see your beautiful projects
so be sure to share them with us on Facebook at Blue Fern Fanatics on Facebook!

Dragon Fruit Plant is covered in leaf-like scales that give it a dragon-like appearance, hence the fruit's name. When cut open, the fruit reveals a stunning contrast between its outer vibrant color and the inner flesh, which can be either white or vivid magenta, dotted with tiny black seeds.
ReplyDeleteThese layouts are absolutely stunning! I adore how you've used the 'Life's Vignettes' collection to create such intricate designs with fussy cutting and vellum flowers. The texture from the crocheted doilies and cheesecloth adds such depth. And those Blue Fern Studios embellishments like the Magenta embossing powder and Gold Nugget seedlings really make everything pop! Can't wait to see more of your creations.
