Bloom layout - by Vicky Alberto

I am pretty sure that Blue Fern's Bird Waltz collection is my FAVE to date. Here is a layout of my daughter's school photo. I usually have a hard time with school photo layouts, but this was the perfect paper collection for the "fake" picture backdrop they provided. So Whimsical!

Many gorgeous Bleu Fern products layered on here... Summer, Pink and Apricot blooms, "take flight" bird chipboard (used chalk ink for colors), "bloom" title chipboard (used ink base and topped with Blue Fern's morning sun powder), "floral lace" chipboard (distressed inked).

I added some pretty doily accents from my stash and tucked more blooms in the top corner to balance things out. This was such a fun project!

 Radiance "Faux Front" Envelope

"The Radiance Collection was the perfect choice to make my faux front envelope! The bright, happy colors of the collection just make you smile!

I've used Radiance ephemera throughout and embossed a chipboard butterfly from the collection as well.  Coordinating glitter makes the flowers and ribbon
on the cover shimmer!

Lots of flaps, flips, tucks and pockets in this one to store
all your treasures and memories.

I loved working with this nature meets mixed media collection!

Products used: Radiance Collection and Ephemera
Petite Frames and Butterflies Chipboard
Blue Fern Studios Glitter

"Tutorials to make the faux front envelope are available on my

Thank you for visiting the blog today! I hope you enjoyed this colorful project.
Have a grateful day!

Two cards with the Bird Waltz Collection

Hello and welcome to the Blue Fern Studios blog.
DT Henriëtte here today sharing two cards I've created using the Bird Walz Collection.

On both cards I used chipboard pieces from the Bird Waltz set,
Blue Fern lace and flowers.

I colored the chipboards with inks and paint and also wax to give them some shine.

All paper edges are distressed and I've put brown ink on the flowers, laces and cheesecloth
to give them a more vintage look.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Henriëtte.

Happy Harvest

Hey friends! Today I am sharing with you a layout from the Eclectic Charm collection.

My base paper is called Friendship. I white washed the back side, tore the bottom and curled the torn edges to create a little more interest.  I placed a strip of Picturesque behind the opening.

That little opening gave me the perfect spot to place my Blue Fern flowers! The chipboard filigree is stained orange and touched up with gold ink. I used a happy harvest tag from my stash as well as the square of cardboard.

To top it all off I used a butterfly from the Bird Waltz collection.
I know it will inspire a harvest of creativity!

Blessings, Bonnie

Fly with Bird Waltz

I am back to you today with another layout featuring the new Bird Waltz collection from Blue Fern Studios.
My beautiful GD Lilly a few years ago. These papers are thick and great to add mediums to. For my base I used Overture.
I did some stencil work on my page using Prima's Icing Paste in Gold. This is the first opportunity I've had to try out this paste and I have to admit that I love it and plan on buying the rest of the colors!
I used the Dragonfly Melody chipboard to frame my photo. I cut the chipboard as I often do and used Ginger, Fern and Wheat embossing powders to color it.
This collection has some beautiful graphics and I did some fussy cutting and popped up these elements with some 3D dots.
I used some miscellaneous flowers from Blue Fern (older collection) and added some turquoise seedlings to the petals.
For my title I used a piece from the matching Ephemera pack.

And that's a wrap for today.
All the best! :)

All you need is love

Hello, Henriëtte here today. I'm sharing an exploding box I've made with a love theme.

For this project I used up some of my scraps from different paper collections.

I decorated the outside of the box with lace roses which I colored a bit with red ink.
On the lid I used the printed chipboard pieces from the "In the Mood" collection.

For the centerpiece on the inside I cut a styrofoam ball in half,
colored it red with ink and glued lace around it.
Then I decorated it with an abundance of flowers.

I also placed a key charm with red ribbon in the middle.

Products used:

Papers and printed chipboard pieces:
Attic charm
In the Mood
Heartland

Flowers:
Remnants blooms
Floral basics pink
Summer Blooms
Blue Ferns Studios florals

Charm:
Ornamental keys

Thank you for stopping by!
