Charming Traveler's Notebooks
by Gayle Agostinelli

I've used the Eclectic Charm collection to create two traveler's
notebook style journals.

The jewel tones and old world feel of the papers in this collection were perfect to showcase some of my antique laces!

The rich colors just draw you in and make you feel like you're at Grandma's house!

Such a joy to work with these beautiful designs
by Michelle Singh!

Beyond the paper collection, items used to create the journals:
This and That Charms
Flourish and Flowers Chipboard
Ornate Scroll Work Chipboard
Spread Your Wings Stamp
Charming Phrases Stamp
Charmed Medley Stamp

For a full flip through of the journals visit my You Tube channel:

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.
I hope you enjoyed my little journals!

Altered Clipboard with Eclectic Charm

Hello! Today's inspiration is this altered clipboard. I used the new Eclectic Charm
collection to decorate it.

The clipboard is about 9,5 x 6,5 inches. I bought it at a online office supply store.
First I covered the metal clip with gesso and painted it with a black metallic paint.
I also did this with the chipboard pieces.

I glued on layers of patterned papers to the clipboard and also added painted
chipboard and ephemera pieces.
All the papers and the clipboard edges are distressed with tea dye distress ink.

I also added little pieces of cheesecloth and Blue Fern laces.
These were coffee dyed to give them a vintage look.

I love how it turned out with the deep colors of the Eclectic Charm papers.

Products used:

Eclectic Charm patterned papers, chipboard,
calling cards and ephemera.
Lace: Blue Fern lace 2.

Hugs, Henriƫtte.

Blessed

Hi Ferns,

For this layout I used a combination of collections from Blue Fern. The base paper is a sheet from Happy Accident 2,  called "Grubby".

I used a calling card from Eclectic Charm and removed the middle to create the frame for my tiny picture.

I also used a cameo charm from Eclectic Charm.

I added a piece of my 38 year old wedding dress underneath my title, "Blessed"!

Hope you are all blessed as well!

LOVE

Hello! Welcome to Blue Fern Studios' blog. Today I am sharing a layout done with the gorgeous new Eclectic Collection from Blue Fern Studios.
I've been waiting a long time to scrap this photo of my daughter Jessie with her beloved dog Rufus. Sadly Rufus is no longer with us and I decided to make an album of all the great photos of Jess and Rufus together for her 30th birthday. These papers are filled with rich blues, purples and green which was perfect for this pic.
For my background I did several things. First I covered my page in transparent gesso to prepare it for all the mediums I wanted to use. I then stamped around my photo area with the Fancy Clock stamp with embossing ink and then heat embossed it with Lilac embossing powder. I then added a damask design with a stencil and covered it again with transparent gesso to make sure my colors came out right. I used dark blue and different purples to get my desired effect.
I fussy cut some elements from the papers as extra embellishments.
I used some Lavender Seedlings for extra texture. I also used the Flourish and Flowers chipboard pack to embellish my page. I covered all the chipboard with white gesso and then colored them with a variety of embossing powders.

I used the LOVE chipboard that came in the pack as my title and embossed it with Ginger to match my page.
For my flower cluster I used some misc purple flowers from Blue Fern and some berries from the Spring Peony and Berries pack. There are also flowers from Prima, 49 & Market and Petaloo.
A couple of additional pics.

Card folio with Wanderlust

Hi everyone! Henriƫtte here and today I want to share a card folio I've made with
the Wanderlust papers.

I found the idea and a tutorial on how to make a card folio on Kathy Clement You tube channel.

I used one of my favorite Blue Fern collections - Wanderlust, to decorate the folio.
Also the printed chipboard pieces are from the Wanderlust collection,
they give the card great dimension.

The inside has two pockets and a flap.

and also two tags.

Thanks for visiting the Blue Fern Studios blog.

Hugs, Henriƫtte.

My Treasure

Hi Ferns,

I love this blue Reminisce sheet from the Eclectic Charm collection.

Under my torn edges I layered the Friendship sheet and the clock is the other side of the Reminisce sheet.

I painted the flourish frame chipboard and title yellow.

I used a stamp called Tattered Newsprint and brown distress ink to embellish my background more.

I used blue distress ink and gold glitter ink to age my page a bit further. I love how it turned out!

Thanks for the peek!
Blessings, Bonnie

Bloom layout - by Vicky Alberto

I am pretty sure that Blue Fern's Bird Waltz collection is my FAVE to date. Here is a layout of my daughter's school photo. I usually have a hard time with school photo layouts, but this was the perfect paper collection for the "fake" picture backdrop they provided. So Whimsical!

Many gorgeous Bleu Fern products layered on here... Summer, Pink and Apricot blooms, "take flight" bird chipboard (used chalk ink for colors), "bloom" title chipboard (used ink base and topped with Blue Fern's morning sun powder), "floral lace" chipboard (distressed inked).

I added some pretty doily accents from my stash and tucked more blooms in the top corner to balance things out. This was such a fun project!

Thanks for visiting the blog today!
