This is the cute bungalow we moved from last year (yet remained in the same community), after purchasing our lake house. I still get emotional when I think of almost 18 years worth of memories in that place.
For this layout I used Blue Fern's gorgeous Remnants paper collection, coordinating adhesive shapes, lace, flowers, garden daisies chipboard and tattered walls ephemera. A few little embellishments from my stash to tie everything together.
On the close-up, you can see that I used Blue Fern's lavender seedlings on the garden daisies chipboard. They perfectly matched the purple lilacs in the photo. I still miss all the pretty lilacs we had on that property! Well, as always... thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my project today.

Layout with Spring Parade
Good Morning. I am back with another Blue Fern post. I have another spring layout for you (can you tell I've had enough of winter?)
This is Spring Parade made after the collection I made it with!
I did my usual little enhancement of the background with gesso and a iced purple Gelato. I heat embossed a pattern on my page using a Blue Fern stamp for added texture. A little stamping and it was done.
I used this chippie from Blue Fern called Willow Flower. I heat embossed it with Sage and a purple color from my stash.
I fussy cut all the flowers surrounding my photo from the paper Joyful. I also cut out a circle in my background paper June and backed it with a cutout from the sheet Sunrise. All the blooms on this layout are from Blue Fern.
A close-up of the bottom cluster. Love the purple and pink bloom from Happy Blooms.
And the final close-up is my title. I love how you can use the bottom tabs of these papers on your layout. My title is from one side of the page and the matting behind my photo is from another side. No waste here!
I hope you enjoyed this touch of spring although I know some of you are heading into fall across the world. But it's definitely an Easter page. Love those little baby chicks!
That's it for today have a great one! All the best! :)

Travel journal with Wanderlust
Hello crafty friends, DT Henriëtte here today sharing a travel journal I made using the
Wanderlust collection.
This is the first journal I ever made. I watched this tutorial on how to make a journal.
It wasn't as difficult as I thought and the Wanderlust collection is perfect for making a travel journal.
For the signatures I folded patterned papers together with tea dyed and oven baked papers.
I tea dyed the papers myself. Here's the video I watched to learn how to do that.
The give the papers an even more old look I used Blue Ferns Studios texture stamps.
I also made a few pockets in the journal using the Wanderlust collection.
I embellished the journal with the Wanderlust calling cards and printed chipboards.
On some of the pages I stamped images from various BFS stamp sets.
I really love how this journal turned out and I'm planning on using it on our holiday to
Norway in a few months.
Products used:
Papers:
Wanderlust papers, calling cards and printed chipboards
Stamps:
Arcadia textures
Flight and Flair
Flutter Music
Thanks for stopping by the Blue Fern Studios Blog.
I appreciate your comments very much!
Hugs, Henriëtte.

Hello Dreams Panel
Hello Crafter Friends, I'm Aida from @aidaville, it's lovely to see you back at the Blue Fern Studios Blog and hopefully the Design Team's projects have kept you inspired and creating. This week I have a Hello Dreams panel featuring a theme that will resonate with all of us.
These are the Blue Fern Studios products I used :
Wanderlust - Calling Cards | Seascape
Swan Gate Chipboard | Valerie's Butterflies Chipboard
Tattered Walls Ephemera | Flowers - Apricot Blooms.
Lace no. #2
Other supplies : 6x8 Flat Back Canvas Panel, Dye Inks, Vintage Silver Embossing Powder, Gesso, Crayons.
The faded blue woodgrain of the Wanderlust Seascape paper is a wonderful background for the Swan Gate Chipboard which was given a vintage shine with some heat embossing.
I just love the sentiment "go where your Dreams take you" ... it's what we all wish for ! The Butterfly chipboard was given just a touch of heat embossing in the center for a worn-away effect. You will see underneath it, how the large flourish from the Tattered Walls Ephemera and Lace #2 add more dimension to the panel.
Here's a closer look of the Chipboard Swan Gate and the contrasting background paper accentuates the gate even more.
Layering all the bits of ephemera and paper makes the panel look interesting and just calls out for you to touch the details.
The Butterfly perfectly anchors the panel with a shabby prettiness.
Creating this panel was so much fun, I truly enjoy layering papers and embellishments. If all this seem difficult to you, don't worry ..... a little practice and experience will make sure you get good at this.
Thank you for stopping by, stay creative !

Little Chick Spring Greeting Card
The Spring Parade paper collection is so sweet with vintage images of bunnies and chicks
and beautiful flowers that makes me think of springtime!
Today I am sharing a large format card I made to decorate a package.
I used the Remembrance and Susie's Garden papers for the base and background, and fussy cut the chicks and basket from Joyful and Sunrise papers.
I painted the edges of the papers and the chipboard pieces from Photo Arches and a
flower from Bohemian Flowers white to match. And of course added a little lace for texture!
To embellish the card at the top I added some lovely flowers from Summer Blooms
and Winter Lilies. Then tucked in some fussy cut flower images and several
white die cuts to add dimension.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my little project.

Easter Shadow Box Card with Spring Parade
Hi Everyone. I am so excited to be asked to share a little spring project I made!
I love dimensional projects and shadow box cards are fun and easy to make. These little rabbits and chicks are the perfect images to fussy cut and add to the festive scene!
I love dimensional projects and shadow box cards are fun and easy to make. These little rabbits and chicks are the perfect images to fussy cut and add to the festive scene!
I used the the Spring Petites paper as a base and fussy cut images from the April Medley and Joyful papers as accents to tuck some behind the frame to create depth and
some around the edges to complete the scene.
For texture I used a die-cut doily and leaves adding the lovely blooms from
Fresh Florals, Spring Blooms and Homespun Blooms
to give the project a fresh spring feel!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my little card!
Happy Spring! Mima
Altered Can and Jar - Vicky Alberto
I decided to have some fun altering a tomato can and a plastic mayonnaise jar...
I just can't seem to get enough of Blue Fern's Homespun and Heartland collections, so I mixed them together!
On the tomato can, I added an adhesive butterfly from the Remnants collection, Tattered walls ephemera and Blue Fern flowers too. Nothing from my stash on here... this is ALL gorgeous Blue Fern product.
On the mayonnaise jar, Homespun adhesive shapes, Tattered walls ephemera, Blue Fern flowers, ribbon and flourish heart chipboard were added... again nothing from my stash on this project either!
On the heart chipboard I inked in dark pink and then randomly glued some Blue Fern pink embossing powder on top, for a thick shabby look. Well... once again thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my projects!

Spring layout made with the Spring Parade Collection
Hello! Good to see you here! It's such a beautiful day outside it put me in the mood to share this spring layout I made.
I used Spring Parade for this layout.
My back ground was first given a coat of clear Gesso. I then went over it with the Mini Tile Mania Mask from TCWS and some molding paste. I then sprinkled embossing powder in it's a Girl from Blue Fern all over the molding paste and heat embossed it. I love the way it came out!I then did very little stamping with the Tattered Newsprint Stamp and added a few small pink pearls.
I layered my papers behind my photo, some in long strips others in shorter strips. On the shorter strips I added some chipboard pieces Grid Pieces and embossed them with white enamel. I also used a large piece of chipboard called Chesterville Shelf and cut it into sections to make it spread out amongst my page.
I embossed this part of the shelf with It's A Girl Pink and Sage.I like layering chipboard on top of each other.
Another piece of the shelf is used here as a backdrop for this flower cluster made up of a variety of Blue Fern Blooms. I also used embossed masking tape on my page for added texture.
My final piece of the Chesterville Shelf was used as a border for my photo. I painted the top part with the small flowers a pale yellow and then used Ginger and Sage to finish it off.
Close-up of my second floral cluster using Blue Fern Blooms. You can also see more of the background work here.
My title. I used Seedlings throughout my page in both Meadow and Pink Topaz.
Last close-up of the Pink Topaz Seedlings and some pink pearls. I so enjoyed working with these pastel colors it actually felt like spring just my become a reality soon! Let's keep our fingers crossed!
All the best! :)
